DJ Ton Horm Clarifies Allegations of Being Linked to Celebrity Dating 17-Year-Old, Emphasizes Two Legal Boundaries She Maintains

DJ Ton Horm denied allegations linking her to a celebrity secretly dating a 17-year-old, stating she maintains strict legal boundaries against relationships with minors and involvement in affairs.

12h ago Khaosod

DJ Ton Horm has publicly denied allegations that she is the celebrity secretly dating a 17-year-old, following online speculation that led the boy's mother to prepare statutory rape charges. On May 18, Ton Horm Sakunla Tienpairoj spoke at the PD MUT Ubon Ratchathani launch event at Fake Club on Ratchada Soi 4, firmly stating the allegations do not apply to her. She acknowledged that her public image and personality may have made her an easy target for such comparisons, but emphasized two critical legal boundaries she has always maintained: she does not engage with minors, and she does not become a third party in relationships, as both are illegal matters that could result in prosecution.

Regarding the accusation of dating a 17-year-old, Ton Horm stated: "I want to tell everyone here clearly that I would never disappoint in that way, because I have never been with someone that young. When the news came out, I realized my image fit the description so perfectly it seemed like the story was written about me. If you scroll through the comments, you'll see people mentioning a certain female DJ, but that DJ doesn't think about anyone else. That's just how my image is, and it seems very characteristic of me."

She explained that she was not angry at those making the accusations, noting that after reviewing the industry, she couldn't find anyone else with a similar public image or lifestyle that matched the story. "I felt like my image was quite distinctive," she said.

When asked if the news caused her distress, Ton Horm clarified: "There's no shock because I wasn't dating anyone during that time period. Do I reflect on myself? Yes, but definitely not at 17, because I'm aware I'm a celebrity and I can't act recklessly. I have a reputation to maintain and can't leave evidence. So this has never been something I've done."

She reiterated her strict adherence to legal boundaries: "The two things I've always been cautious about are statutory rape and being a third party in a relationship, because these are illegal matters that could result in prosecution. So these are things I've never done."

When asked if she would sue those hinting she was the person involved or if certain comments felt defamatory, Ton Horm mentioned there was one particularly harsh comment that hurt her deeply, but did not specify whether legal action would be taken. She noted that people had begun commenting more frequently that it was her, which is why she felt compelled to post a clarification statement.

Arsenal Wins as Expected After Home Victory Over Burnley – Five Points Clear

Arsenal defeated already-relegated Burnley 1-0 at home to extend their Premier League lead to five points, with Kai Havertz scoring in the first half.

15h ago Khaosod

In an English Premier League match on May 18, Arsenal, currently topping the table, hosted visiting Burnley. Arsenal were in pursuit of the championship, while Burnley sat 19th and were already mathematically relegated.

Arsenal broke the deadlock in the first half with a goal from a corner kick. Bukayo Saka provided the assist for Kai Havertz, who finished in the 37th minute to make it 1-0 before halftime.

The second half saw a tense moment when Havertz made a hard challenge on Lesly Okomuchu. VAR reviewed the incident to determine whether it warranted a red card for a dangerous tackle, but the referee ultimately ruled it was not a sending-off offense, leaving both teams with 11 players on the pitch.

No further goals were scored, and Arsenal secured a 1-0 victory over Burnley. With 82 points from 37 matches, Arsenal remained in first place and maintained a five-point lead over Manchester City in second, though City had played only 36 games at that point.

Amnesty International Reports Global Death Sentences Hit 44-Year High

Executions reached a 44-year high in 2025 with at least 2,707 people put to death across 17 countries, a 78 percent surge driven largely by Iran and Saudi Arabia's use of capital punishment for drug offenses.

16h ago Khaosod

Amnesty International has released data showing that executions have reached their highest level in 44 years since records began. At least 2,707 people were executed across 17 countries in 2025, representing a 78 percent increase from at least 1,518 executions in 2024. The annual global report on capital punishment and executions indicates that the rise stems from a small number of governments that continue to rule through fear.

Iran carried out at least 2,159 executions, more than double the 2024 figure, while Saudi Arabia executed at least 356 people. Both countries extensively use capital punishment for drug-related offenses. Kuwait increased executions from 6 to 17, Egypt from 13 to 23, Singapore from 9 to 17, and the United States from 25 to 47.

The 2025 figures exclude China, which is believed to carry out thousands of executions annually, making it the world's leading executioner. Nearly half of all 2025 executions were drug-related offenses, totaling at least 1,257 cases—46 percent in China alone, followed by Iran with at least 998, Saudi Arabia with 240, Singapore with 15, and Kuwait with 2.

Some countries are expanding capital punishment to cover more drug-related crimes. Despite rising execution numbers, executions remain concentrated in a small group of nations, with only 10 countries carrying out executions every year over the past five years. Four countries have resumed executions after a hiatus. By the end of 2025, 17 countries carried out executions, while 113 countries have abolished capital punishment for all crimes, and 145 countries total have abolished or suspended it either in law or practice.

Mechanic Riding with Train Driver Reveals Critical Moments Before Collision, Mistook Bus for Advertisement Banner

A mechanic riding in a freight train cab initially mistook a bus blocking Bangkok tracks for an advertisement sign, alerting the driver only 300 meters away; both pulled the emergency brake but the collision killed 8 people on May 16.

19h ago Khaosod

A mechanic riding alongside a freight train driver has recounted the moments leading up to a catastrophic collision, explaining that he initially mistook a bus blocking the tracks for an advertisement sign until they drew closer. He quickly alerted the driver and both men pulled the emergency brake.

May 18 – Investigators have released new details about the freight train No. 2126 (Laem Chabang-Bang Sue) collision with Air-conditioned Bus Route 206 at the Makkasan railway crossing beneath the Airport Rail Link station on Asoke-Din Daeng Road in Bangkok. The collision resulted in a fire, killing 8 people and injuring more than 30 others on the afternoon of May 16.

Investigators examined CCTV footage near the scene and identified two people in cab seat No. 2 before the collision: Somphon (46), the freight train driver, and Siriphumi (21), the mechanic sitting beside him.

During questioning, Siriphumi revealed to authorities that from a distance of approximately 500 meters before reaching the intersection, he saw what appeared to be a parked bus that looked like an "advertisement sign." Only when the train drew to within 300 meters did he realize it was actually an air-conditioned bus blocking the tracks. He immediately signaled the driver, and both men pulled the brakes.

The train was traveling at approximately 35-40 kilometers per hour at the time of impact. Siriphumi confirmed he did not hear any radio communication and saw no one waving a red flag to warn them.

20h ago Khaosod

The Burapha Task Force has successfully reclaimed Thai territory, bringing residents of Nong Chan village back to their homeland for farming after more than 40 years of Cambodian occupation and control.

On May 18, 2025, the atmosphere along the Thai-Cambodian border in Kok Sung District, Sakaeo Province, has become active once again. The Burapha Task Force and specialist forest reserve units have entered the Nong Chan area in Non Makmun Subdistrict to ensure security and facilitate residents who are gradually bringing in tractors and heavy machinery to reclaim their agricultural land. Thailand has successfully restored sovereignty over the disputed territory after a lengthy period.

The area had been continuously invaded and occupied by Cambodian forces for over 40 years, causing many residents to lose the opportunity to farm their ancestral lands. Recently, the Thai military has fully secured and controlled the territory, allowing original landowners to begin returning home to rehabilitate the area for agricultural use once again.

Initially, four villagers have brought machinery to prepare the land, covering approximately 146 rai total, under strict security measures by military personnel. The area remains at risk from unexploded ordnance left over from past conflicts. During operations, officials discovered a suspicious object resembling a buried explosive device in an agricultural plot, prompting an immediate halt to clearing work and cordoning off the dangerous area. The Humanitarian Demining Unit 1 was called in to urgently inspect and retrieve the ordnance.

Authorities have stated they will expedite scanning and clearing operations to ensure the area is 100 percent safe before allowing residents to confidently return and resume farming. This marks another significant step in returning Thai territory to the people after they have waited for more than four decades.

On May 18, Krabi Governor Angkhur Siladeva-akul announced that on May 16, authorities received reports of two foreign tourists—a father and daughter from the Netherlands—who experienced a kayaking accident between Poda Island and Railay Beach in Krabi province. The missing person is Rob Borgmann, age 61, while his daughter who survived reported that they were paddling without wearing life jackets when the kayak capsized, causing her father to drown and disappear at sea. Following the incident, the Krabi Port Safety Control Center coordinated with maritime agencies to launch continuous search operations with assistance from the victim's family. As of today, May 18, the missing person has still not been located, with rescue efforts hampered by unstable weather conditions, heavy rain in several periods, strong wind and waves approximately 2-3 meters high affecting visibility. Governor Angkhur stated that the province takes the matter seriously, as Krabi is a major tourist destination and foreign visitors' safety is paramount. The governor assured the victim's family that authorities will continue searching and pledged to find the missing person soon. Additionally, he ordered relevant agencies to investigate whether kayak operators provided proper safety briefings, weather warnings, and ensured tourists wore life jackets. If negligence is found, strict legal action will be taken.
