Dr. Book Plans to Marry Khnom Late This Year! Clears Up 'Van Festival' Drama Linked to Ex-Husband

Dr. Book and Khnom Sassikan announced plans to marry later this year while addressing online speculation about a van purchase, clarifying it was meant to help her elderly parents transport their two young children safely.

3d ago Khaosod

Dr. Book and Khnom Sassikan recently appeared on the Khui Saep Show to address widespread online speculation, including questions about the 'van festival' connected to her ex-husband and concerns about her two children being raised by their grandmother. The couple brought their children, 4-year-old Tung Jai and 1.6-year-old Teum Tem, on air to demonstrate their close bond. Khnom shared that her older child recently passed the entrance exam for Khon Kaen University's international program, while her younger child was born prematurely at seven months but is developing well. Regarding their living situation in Khon Kaen, Khnom clarified she returns home frequently, about 3-4 times monthly, and both she and Dr. Book travel for work to earn income for their family. She explained the van purchase was intended to help her elderly parents transport the children safely, not related to any 'festival campaign.' The couple worked together on a two-day live shopping event with about 30 brands, generating nearly 3 million baht in sales. Khnom defended their parenting style, emphasizing they're not raising spoiled children but rather providing necessities and practical support while the children wear simple home clothes and learn the value of work alongside their business. She stressed that purchasing the van was about convenience and safety for the grandparents caring for the children, not about luxury.

Tragic Motorcycle Crash: Fisherman Loses Control on Bridge, Strikes Light Pole and Dies

A 51-year-old fisherman died when his motorcycle lost control on a curve in Samut Songkhram, struck an electrical pole, and threw him onto the pavement with fatal head injuries on May 16.

3d ago Khaosod

A tragic accident claimed the life of a middle-aged fisherman when his motorcycle lost control on a bridge, struck an electrical pole, and threw him to the pavement with fatal head injuries.

On May 16, 2568, officers from Mueang Samut Songkhram Police Station in Samut Songkhram responded to a report of a motorcycle accident on a curve along the Samut Songkhram-Bang Pae route toward Mae Klong, where the rider had died at the scene. Emergency responders from the Sawang Benja Tham Foundation also arrived to assist.

The victim was identified as 51-year-old Jiraphattana from Samroong Nuea Subdistrict, Mueang District, Samut Prakan. He was found dead on the roadway with severe head trauma. His shattered helmet lay nearby, and his red Honda PCX motorcycle, registered in Samut Songkhram, was overturned with fishing rods and equipment scattered around.

Witnesses, visibly shocked, reported seeing the motorcycle traveling close behind another vehicle when suddenly they heard a loud crash. When they turned to look, they found the motorcycle had lost control and overturned, with the rider's body thrown far from the impact site.

Security camera footage captured the final moments: the rider descended from the bridge at high speed heading toward Mae Klong. Upon reaching the curved section of the road, the motorcycle continued straight without slowing down or turning, causing it to leave the road and strike the illumination pole on the roadside island with significant force. The rider was killed instantly upon impact with the ground.

Authorities transported the body to a hospital and launched an investigation to determine the exact cause, following legal procedures. The family later received the body to conduct religious rites.

Uttaradit Champion in Women's Woodball – Sports Federation Eyes Youth Sports as Gateway to Future Success

Phinyyadawdee Pengpuech from Uttaradit won the women's individual woodball championship, while the tournament showcased youth talent and created educational opportunities for young athletes through university recruitment.

3d ago Khaosod

In the women's individual woodball championship finals, Phinyyadawdee Pengpuech from Uttaradit defeated Patcharaporn Thungjai from Nakhon Sawan 4-2, claiming the gold medal. Assistant Professor Channi Kridiboon, vice president of the Thai Woodball Association, noted that young athletes showed clear skill development at the tournament, with many competitors at similar competitive levels, creating intense and engaging matches. The national youth sports championship functions as a critical platform for advancing both athletic and educational pursuits, as numerous universities continue to monitor athlete performances, and some young competitors have already been contacted by educational institutions. This demonstrates the championship serves not only to elevate athletic development but also to create educational pathways for participants. Beyond promoting individual athletes, the woodball competition at Bangdeuon Sathit Phitthayakham School raised community awareness of the sport. Teachers, students, and residents actively participated in organizing the event, and the school principal noted that most locals and students previously knew little about woodball. However, after witnessing the actual competition and experiencing the stadium atmosphere, many developed genuine interest in the sport and foresee it potentially becoming an established activity within their community and schools.

Deputy Government Spokesman Fires Back at Pheu Thai Spokesperson, Denies Government is Capitalist Puppet, Urges End to Bias and Political Narratives

Deputy Government Spokesman Ploythale Luksameesangchan denied accusations that the government favors business interests, saying it listens to all groups and prioritizes public welfare without discrimination.

3d ago Khaosod

Deputy Government Spokesman Ploythale Luksameesangchan on May 16 responded to criticism from Pheu Thai list MP Phakomlap Noonanunan and Pheu Thai party spokesperson, addressing comments about Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul and Interior Minister opening Government House for discussions with 35 business leaders and CEOs.

The government, she stated, is prepared to listen to all voices and groups offering constructive opinions through coordinated government agencies. When problems arise that agencies can resolve, the Prime Minister expedites solutions to ease public hardship, neglecting no citizen concerns. The government practices no discrimination, she asserted, opening Government House to distribute government and Interior Ministry policies to village headmen and administrators to drive local implementation, and welcoming over 1,000 outstanding children and youth during National Children's Day celebrations.

Regarding the May 15 Government House meeting with business leaders and corporate CEOs, the government accelerated public input through the business sector, with many businesses raising concerns about cost of living, household debt, purchasing power, and economic conditions, allowing the government to identify issues more clearly and implement more targeted relief measures.

Ploythale emphasized the government did not choose to discuss with any particular group or attempt to break up monopolistic capital as Phakomlap understood. She appealed for an end to social confusion and misinformation about government intentions, stressing that the government never abandons citizens to struggle alone.

Throughout, the government has prioritized public interest, treating all citizen problems seriously while integrating cooperation from all sectors to address issues precisely, especially amid the U.S.-Iran conflict in the Middle East severely impacting Thailand's and the world's economies.

Most importantly, she emphasized the need for all-sector cooperation, urging Phakomlap to stop creating political narratives and instead fulfill her duty as an MP to benefit the people without bias against the government. The spokesman reiterated that the government never takes sides or discriminates; everything it does serves the public interest.

TeeTeePor on Working Almost Daily, Sharing Caring Moments with Unreleased Photos of Por, Ending with Playful Banter

3d ago Khaosod

On May 16, content creators Teepee Wanphichit and Por Suphakarn attended the Praew Meet & Read x TeeTeePor 'Playdate Party' event at AUA Rajdamnri, where they gave media interviews before the event started. Both revealed they've been working intensely almost daily recently and shared touching moments, including candid shots TeeTeePor has taken of Por that haven't been posted yet, as well as a moment in Japan where TeeTeePor set up to photograph Por running up a hill. Regarding their decision not to do a zipline activity together, TeeTeePor admitted to being afraid of heights but confirmed they'd do it next time if given the opportunity. They closed the interview with playful banter, with TeeTeePor joking: 'Por is never wrong, I'm always at fault. If Por is ever wrong, rewind and watch it again. Por is always right.' When asked if they're working every day, TeeTeePor confirmed 'Yes.' Regarding Por's work schedule, he noted it's been getting busier, with energy typically coming in the afternoon, though it varies by day. TeeTeePor shared they support each other depending on their energy levels—sometimes TeeTeePor initiates conversation, sometimes Por does, and they've learned to balance it out. TeeTeePor revealed there's one unreleased photo of Por he particularly treasures—a candid shot taken while Por was sitting down, where the lighting hit his face just right, capturing a perfect angle of his nose bridge. He also described intentionally photographing Por running toward him from about 150 meters away in Japan, setting up specifically to capture that moment. When asked why he refused to do the zipline with Por, TeeTeePor clarified he wasn't rejecting outright but initially intended it as a joke for the camera. However, he admitted genuine fear due to the extreme height and the deep cliff below, promising to do it next time. He humorously noted that with multiple cameras rolling, he'd definitely go along with it. Por joked about how many cameras were set up. TeeTeePor explained the real reason was timing—they had to leave soon, and even their friend U didn't have time to finish before rushing back. TeeTeePor promised to join next time. When asked if they generally do whatever activities the other wants to do, Por simply said 'Yes.' TeeTeePor elaborated that Por sometimes does things he doesn't, which is fine as it's his own fun; TeeTeePor can support from a distance like with roller coasters. However, TeeTeePor believes Por will definitely join him in haunted houses since he loves them so much. When asked if Por is afraid of haunted houses, he confirmed he is. TeeTeePor humorously pointed out the irony of Por inviting him to things TeeTeePor fears while he invites Por to things Por fears. Por explained there's safety equipment like seatbelts, so he just stays still. TeeTeePor joked that he becomes the safety measure inside the haunted house, and Por quipped that TeeTeePor will probably scream first.

A London influencer spent nearly 20,000 baht on a luxury fruit basket at Tokyo's premium Ginza Sembikiya store, finding just 12 individually packaged pieces inside. The unboxing video went viral on TikTok with over 1.2 million views, though

3d ago Khaosod

An influencer spent nearly 20,000 baht on a luxury fruit basket in Tokyo and shocked social media by opening it to find only 12 pieces. Comments flooded in saying "even supermarket shopping is cheaper." Tomatoes at 1,500 baht each, blueberries rated 9.5 out of 10, and pineapple that the reviewer claimed wasn't sour at all were among the items that nearly 19,000 baht could buy from a premium fruit shop in Tokyo. All of this took place at "Ginza Sembikiya," Japan's famous premium confectionery and fruit store known for curating high-quality fruit and exquisite packaging. Carmie Sellitto, a 26-year-old London-based influencer, traveled to the shop and filmed from the selection process through unboxing and reviewing the fruit. The video has now surpassed 1.2 million views on TikTok. In the video, he purchased a premium fruit basket including tomatoes priced at approximately 1,500 baht, with staff carefully arranging and wrapping items as if they were precious commodities rather than ordinary food. When he opened the box, he described feeling like he was "opening a Christmas present" because all 12 fruits were beautifully arranged, each sitting individually in luxurious cushioned compartments like private beds for each piece of fruit. He then proceeded to review each piece one by one, starting with large passion fruit, blueberries he called "the most expensive in the world," and oranges and mangoes that he deemed the most perfect fruits. Kiwi received a perfect 10-out-of-10 rating with no deductions, while melon was praised as "worth every baht." However, pineapple drew the observation that it "wasn't sour at all." Despite overall impressions being positive, online comments were largely skeptical, with many pointing out that this price could buy far cheaper fruit from supermarkets.

PM Vows Firm Anti-Corruption Stance, Warns Those Exposing Bribery Must Be Ready for Countersuit

Prime Minister Anuthine Charnvirakul vowed the government is taking firm anti-corruption action through prosecutions across multiple agencies, warning that those making bribery accusations should expect potential countersuits from defendant

3d ago Khaosod

Prime Minister Anuthine Charnvirakul emphasized the government's firm and uncompromising stance on anti-corruption, declaring it is not merely lip service. Since taking office in October, the administration has consistently prosecuted corruption cases and applied anti-corruption laws rigorously, addressing scams, drug trafficking, illegal gambling, and human trafficking. The PM stressed that the government works seamlessly with enforcement agencies—police, military, and officials—united in purpose to combat illegal activities. Regarding a private sector committee's list of ten government agencies most susceptible to bribery, Anuthine clarified that such indices come from surveys rather than legal proceedings. The government's approach focuses on concrete law enforcement; for example, the land rights case in Chiang Mai expanded beyond dismissing a single district officer to prosecuting an entire corrupt network involving influential figures. Similarly, in Nakhon Pathom, a village headman was removed from office. The PM emphasized the government uses behavior-based prosecution rather than position-based enforcement, targeting anyone with illegal conduct regardless of rank. Corruption sources in Phuket, Koh Phangan, Koh Samui, and Surat Thani have been prosecuted after officials were found accepting bribes, land transfers, and salary kickbacks. When asked about potential countersuits from agencies ranked in the survey, Anuthine responded that if accusations are made, defendants have the right to sue back, which he considers fair. He acknowledged that corruption perception indices partly stem from feeling-based surveys, not prosecutable evidence. The PM framed anti-corruption as the government's karmic responsibility to cleanse past sins without compounding them. He stressed the government is serious and not making empty promises, citing strict inspections and support for officials combating corruption and illegal acts, with the goal of complete elimination.
