Shocking incident: Man enters Phuket hospital, goes to 7th floor, then falls fatally
A 29-year-old man died after jumping from the 7th floor of a Phuket hospital early Friday morning, shortly after staff spotted him sitting suspiciously on a ledge.
A shocking incident occurred early this morning when authorities spotted a man acting suspiciously entering a Phuket hospital and heading to the 7th floor before he fell fatally. At approximately 1:00 AM on May 3, 2569, Deputy Inspector Witthawat Krainara of Phuket City Police received an emergency call reporting a man jumping from the 7th floor medical building of a major Phuket hospital.
Officers observed a young man behaving suspiciously after entering the hospital and heading to the 7th floor. Upon receiving the report, Police Captain Chatchree Chookaew, commander of Phuket City Police Station, immediately proceeded to the scene.
According to witness statements from staff who saw the incident, a 29-year-old man identified as Phon (alias) took the elevator from the first floor to the 7th floor of the medical building. He then walked to a sloped balcony area adjacent to the building and was sitting on the 7th floor ledge displaying suspicious behavior. Staff alerted security personnel to investigate.
When security went to check on him, Phon had already jumped from the building, sustaining severe injuries. Emergency responders provided immediate assistance and rushed him to the hospital for treatment.
At approximately 2:10 AM on the same day, investigators were informed that Phon had succumbed to his injuries. Police are now collecting evidence and will proceed with further investigation procedures.
