The accident occurred at an intersection near Khao Chagum Market in Photharam District, Ratchaburi Province. Officers from Khao Din Police Station, medical personnel from Photharam Hospital, and rescue workers from Sawang Ratchaburi Foundation arrived at the scene to find a white Mercedes with severe damage to its front left side. The driver, Ms. Punnapha (surname withheld), remained at the scene waiting for police. Nearby, authorities discovered the body of Ms. Somkid (surname withheld), 47, with a broken neck, arms, and legs.

Mr. Dokmai (surname withheld), 51, the victim's husband, suffered critical injuries and was rushed to the hospital. The motorcycle, a green Honda Wave, was found about 100 meters away with severe rear-end damage.

CCTV footage revealed that the couple was crossing the street after leaving the market when the white Mercedes, traveling from Photharam toward Nong Tak Yai in Kanchanaburi Province, attempted to swerve to avoid another sedan. The Mercedes driver failed to see the motorcycle and struck it with force, throwing the bike over 100 meters away.

Police will conduct further investigation and charge the Mercedes driver with reckless driving causing injury and death. Authorities are also tracking down the white sedan that obscured the motorcycle driver's view during the crossing.
