Man Driving Mercedes-Benz Crashes Into Rear of Six-Wheeled Truck at High Speed on Taksin Road, Fatal Collision
A 38-year-old man was killed in a fatal traffic collision on Taksin Road in Bangkok when his black Mercedes-Benz E300 crashed into the rear of a stopped six-wheeled truck at high speed. Witnesses report the driver was traveling without braking when the crash occurred at 1:30 AM on May 15, 2025. Police are investigating the incident using security camera footage and witness statements.
A fatal car accident occurred on Taksin Road at 1:30 AM on May 15, 2025, when a black Mercedes-Benz E300 sports coupe crashed into the rear of a six-wheeled Isuzu truck with tremendous force. The driver of the Mercedes, 38-year-old Mr. Phurich (surname withheld), suffered severe injuries to the head and face and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police Lieutenant Prithat Wibulyanan from Talat Phlu Police Station responded to the incident near Tha Phra intersection in Thonburi. The Mercedes was completely destroyed in the collision while the truck was parked in the right lane. The truck driver, 34-year-old Mr. Yuthasaat (surname withheld), was waiting for police.
According to witness statements from 43-year-old Mr. Sompon, a construction site supervisor, the truck had stopped after a light fixture fell from its cargo due to a broken cable. Safety cones and emergency lights were placed approximately 40 meters from the incident location. As workers were preparing to leave, the black Mercedes suddenly crashed into the truck at high speed without braking.
Police are investigating security camera footage and continue questioning the truck driver. The victim's body was transferred to Siriraj Hospital, and remains were handed over to family for funeral arrangements according to religious customs.
