Two young riders on a motorcycle died after losing control, crossing the center median and colliding with a sedan and truck on Friendship Highway in Nakhon Ratchasima Province on May 4.
A 17-year-old girl and her 20-year-old friend lost control of their motorcycle and crossed the center median, colliding with a sedan before being struck by a 10-wheel truck. Both died at the scene. On May 4, 2026, a fatal motorcycle accident occurred on Friendship Highway's inbound lane to Bangkok in Muak Lek subdistrict, Sung Noen district, Nakhon Ratchasima Province, leaving two dead after the motorcycle crossed the center median and was hit repeatedly by the truck. The victims were identified as Thanchonok, 20, and Varisara, 17. According to preliminary investigation, the motorcycle rider was traveling on Friendship Highway when the vehicle lost control near the accident site, veering across the center median and striking an oncoming sedan before being deflected into a truck in the left lane, resulting in the deaths of both the rider and passenger. Officials have already tested the car and truck drivers for alcohol and have referred the motorcycle driver for blood alcohol testing before proceeding with legal action.
