Python Snake Slithers Into Car Wheel, Rescue Called In; Lottery Enthusiasts Check License Plate for Lucky Numbers

A five-kilogram python was successfully rescued from a car wheel in Udon Thani after emergency responders were called to help remove the large snake. Following the rescue, the car's owner and neighboring residents photographed the vehicle's license plate number, hoping to use it as their lottery ticket numbers for an upcoming draw.

29 Apr Khaosod

At 4:00 PM on April 29, 2025, staff from the Udon Bright Dharma Foundation received a call for help regarding a python that had attempted to attack a cat before hiding in the wheel of a parked white Toyota Vios, license plate 3483, in front of a home on Soi Wuthi Anan 8 in Udon Thani Municipality. Rescue volunteers responded to the scene where neighbors were already searching for the snake lodged near the front left wheel. Using flashlights and equipment, rescue personnel carefully worked to extract the snake by gently pushing its head downward through the gap, eventually grabbing it securely and pulling it free from the vehicle. The python weighed approximately 5 kilograms and was subsequently placed in a bag and released back into its natural habitat.

The car owner, Ms. Kittiyaporn, 29, explained that she initially spotted her cat acting frightened and running away from the front of the vehicle. Upon investigation, she discovered the large python with its tongue flicking beneath the car. Her attempts to dislodge it with a stick only caused it to wedge deeper into a narrow crevice, prompting her to call for professional rescue assistance. Once successfully extracted, Ms. Kittiyaporn decided to try her luck with the vehicle's license plate number 3483 in the lottery, a decision her neighbors enthusiastically embraced by photographing the plate themselves for the same purpose.

Mykhailo Mudryk Appeals to CAS Against Four-Year Ban – Eyes Return Next Season

Chelsea's Mykhailo Mudryk has appealed his four-year doping ban to the Court of Arbitration for Sport, seeking to overturn the English FA's punishment and return to competitive football as soon as next season. The Ukrainian forward tested positive for a banned substance in December 2024 and was formally charged in June 2025, with reports suggesting the substance was meldonium, a cardiovascular medication. CAS has received the appeal and the parties are currently exchanging documents, with no hearing date yet set.

29 Apr Khaosod

Chelsea forward Mykhailo Mudryk has filed an appeal with the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) to challenge a four-year ban imposed by the English Football Association (FA), hoping to return to action next season.

Mudryk tested positive for a banned substance in a urine test and received a provisional ban in December 2024. He was formally charged in June 2025, leading the FA to announce the four-year ban.

Having already served approximately 18 months of the ban, Mudryk would not be eligible to return until December 2028 if the ban stands unchanged. However, the Ukrainian international has now appealed to CAS, hoping to get back on the pitch as soon as possible next season.

CAS confirmed in a statement: "CAS can confirm that it has received an appeal from Mykhailo Mudryk. The parties involved are currently exchanging necessary documentation, and a hearing date has not yet been set."

While the FA has not disclosed details of the case, the BBC reported that Mudryk allegedly used meldonium during his time playing for Ukraine in October 2024. This substance is used to treat heart and cardiovascular conditions and is known to enhance respiratory capacity and physical endurance.

Nong Chachcha Sets Record Straight After Dramatic Weight Loss: Reveals How He Lost 23 Kilos

Comedian Nong Chachcha has clarified his health is excellent after his dramatic 23-kilogram weight loss sparked fan concerns. The 50-year-old used natural methods including diet control and daily walking to drop from 103 to 80 kilograms in three months, achieving the transformation without medical interventions or surgical procedures.

29 Apr Khaosod

Fans have expressed concern after seeing comedian Nong Chachcha's noticeably slimmer appearance, with many wondering if he was ill. On April 29, 2025, Nong appeared at the premiere of "Heng Chia Jazz" and addressed the speculation directly, confirming his health is excellent.

Nong explained his decision to get serious about self-care after turning 50. He revealed he previously weighed 103 kilograms, with a peak weight of 113 kilograms, before committing to natural weight loss methods. His approach focused on controlling his diet, cutting rice and fried foods, and using daily walking as his primary exercise. The result: a 23-kilogram loss in just three months, bringing him down to 80 kilograms.

When asked about rumors that he used gastric banding or other procedures, Nong dismissed them, saying he chose the natural approach due to concerns about side effects and his belief that discipline alone can do the job. "If you have discipline, you can take care of yourself without relying on innovations," he said.

Responding to fans' concerns about his appearance, Nong acknowledged: "People worry a lot, asking if I'm sick or if something's wrong. They say I look too thin. But I used to be very heavy—when you lose weight after being that big, your face and body change dramatically. I'm actually thinking of gaining back about 5 kilograms so I have more definition in my cheeks."

Nong attributed his dramatic transformation to strict dietary control while allowing himself occasional indulgences. He emphasized that his daily walking—moving between work locations and visiting friends—serves as adequate exercise. When asked to rate his current health on a scale of 100, he gave himself 95, noting his knees no longer hurt and his body feels more agile. "Before, at 103 kilograms, I couldn't even jump because my knees hurt. Now there's no sound in my knees anymore," he said.

Cambodia Makes Bold Accusations of Thai M79 Grenade Firing During Military Delegation Site Visit; Thailand Says It Was Just Warning Shots

Cambodia accused Thailand of firing M79 grenades during a border inspection tour in Surin province, but Thai forces said they only discharged three warning shots after Cambodian soldiers approached their fence line.

29 Apr Khaosod

Cambodia has accused Thailand of firing M79 grenades while leading a foreign military delegation on an observation tour of the border area. The Thai military responded calmly, explaining that only warning shots were fired after Cambodian forces approached Thailand's barbed wire fence.

On April 29, Cambodia's Ministry of Defense led a foreign military delegation (MACPP), Cambodian and international media on an inspection tour at the Oa Samet checkpoint in Udon Mueang district, opposite the permanent Chong Jom border crossing in Surin province, Thailand, following a ceasefire agreement.

Major General Mali Sajeata, spokesperson for Cambodia's Ministry of Defense, claimed that during the observation and on-site inspection, Thai forces fired 5 times between 10:35-11:09 AM, using M79 and M16 rifles, totaling 9 rounds.

Brigadier General Winthai Suvarī, Thai Army spokesperson, explained that around 10:00 AM, Cambodia planned to bring the delegation to inspect areas near Thai military positions. Thai forces were aware and monitoring the situation closely.

When Cambodian soldiers deliberately approached Thailand's barbed wire fence despite prior warnings and agreements, Thai forces fired 3 warning shots as a standard procedure to signal them to withdraw. The Cambodian forces subsequently moved back.

The Thai military stated such incidents should not occur, as they demonstrate disrespect for international agreements and appear to be an attempt to portray Thailand as using excessive force.

Silatharm Seeks Redemption Against Petchnamueang in Main Event at Petchyindee Championship Live on True

Silatharm faces a redemption rematch against Petchnamueang on April 30 at Rajdamnoen Stadium in the main event of the Petchyindee Championship, a premium Muay Thai show airing live on TrueVisions.

29 Apr Khaosod

The Petchyindee Championship, a premium Muay Thai event, takes place on Thursday, April 30, 2025 at Rajdamnoen Stadium. The headline bout features a highly anticipated rematch between 20-year-old Silatharm from Phatthalung and 18-year-old Petchnamueang from Pathum Thani at 130 pounds, their second meeting following a close decision in March.

Silatharm is an aggressive fighter renowned for his warrior spirit and relentless forward pressure. The right-handed boxer specializes in clinch work combined with powerful sweeping attacks, paired with a devastating left kick that he unleashes consistently throughout every round. Currently riding a wave of confidence after two consecutive wins, including his recent victory over Petchnamueang, Silatharm's aggression and solid technique pose a serious threat.

Petchnamueang, at 18 years old from Pathum Thani, stands out with an impressive 183 cm frame that provides significant reach advantage. This technical boxer excels at distance fighting, employing leg kicks and well-timed knee strikes with precision. He also features a dangerous elbow technique. Despite losing the previous bout on a close decision, Petchnamueang's superior timing and longer range give him a strong chance to reverse the result in this redemption fight.

Overall, this matchup pits Silatharm's relentless grinding power and determined aggression against Petchnamueang's physical advantages and superior fight rhythm. If Silatharm maintains his aggressive forward attack as before, he could overwhelm his opponent again. However, if Petchnamueang effectively utilizes his height advantage through lateral movement and counter-striking while avoiding Silatharm's clinch game, he has excellent prospects of achieving a successful redemption victory in this critical bout.

Fans can watch the Petchyindee Championship live on TrueForYou Channel 24 and TrueVisions NOW starting at 6:00 PM. Thailand's Region 1 Internal Security Command has partnered with Singto Thong Trading Company to purchase agricultural products from farmers, helping stabilize prices amid soaring production costs caused by rising energy prices. The purchased goods will be supplied to military units in Region 1 for internal consumption, simultaneously supporting struggling farmers and boosting troop morale.

29 Apr Khaosod

On April 29, 2026, the Region 1 Internal Security Command (ISOC Region 1), in collaboration with Bangkok ISOC and Singto Thong Trading Company Limited, launched a support program to purchase agricultural products directly from farmers to mitigate the impacts of rising energy prices, which have significantly increased production costs and affected product distribution.

The program is designed to relieve the financial burden on farmers while providing a sales channel during the market slowdown. All purchased agricultural products will be delivered to Region 1 military forces for consumption within their units.

Beyond supporting farmers, this product distribution initiative also serves to boost morale and strengthen the commitment of military personnel in their ongoing duties.

Japanese striking legend Takeru Segawa knocked out Rodtang Jitmuangnon in the fifth round to win the ONE Championship interim flyweight kickboxing title at a Tokyo event on April 29, capping a decorated career with his retirement.

29 Apr Khaosod

Japanese striking legend Takeru Segawa knocked out Thai fighter Rodtang Jitmuangnon in the fifth round to win the ONE Championship interim flyweight kickboxing world title at ONE Samurai 1, held at Ariake Arena in Tokyo on April 29, before retiring from professional fighting.

Following the match, the 34-year-old Takeru shared his emotions: "Today marks the final day of my fighting career, but to be honest, I don't want to stop because of my passion for the art of combat. All I can say is that I'm very excited." He continued, "At 34 years old, I never imagined I could still be this motivated. I thought my body might give out, but with support from so many people, I've been able to continue fighting until now. Ultimately, boss Chatri arranged this championship match for me, which completely transformed my motivation for this final fight. So I want to thank my team, Wann, Chatri, and everyone involved."

Regarding his final fight with Rodtang, Takeru expressed gratitude: "Actually, even after I knocked out Rodtang before, he still accepted this rematch. Thank you so much. Without Rodtang, we wouldn't have had such an amazing farewell match." He explained his strategy: "I intended to fight cautiously, but whenever I visualized the bout beforehand, I couldn't help but imagine an explosive fight, no matter how hard I tried. Before the match, I focused on carefully wearing down my opponent, thinking back to my strongest fighting style. Because it was against Rodtang, I wanted to give everything, but I remembered to carefully exhaust him first before attacking. I pushed myself fully to do that. Ultimately, I wanted to dedicate this victory to everyone and give this belt to everyone."
