Tragic Accident: 57-Year-Old Man on Motorcycle Loses Control on Curve, Plunges into Canal and Drowns
A 57-year-old motorcyclist drowned after losing control on a curve near Dan Jak in Nakhon Ratchasima and plunging into a canal on April 29.
At 3:32 p.m. on April 29, 2026, Pol. Maj. Rawirojn Jaroen Plang Klang, deputy inspector (investigation) at Non Thai Police Station in Nakhon Ratchasima Province, received a report of a motorcycle accident where a driver had plunged into a canal near Ban Khod Waree Yen in Dan Jak Subdistrict, Non Thai District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province. Officers and rescue personnel from the Buddhadham Charity Foundation Huk 31 and Huk 31 volunteers rushed to the scene.
At the curved section of the road, rescuers found a Honda Wave motorcycle submerged underwater and pulled it ashore. They quickly located the driver—a 57-year-old man from Chan Ud Subdistrict, Non Sung District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province—submerged approximately 4 meters deep. His body was brought to the surface for medical examination and sent to Non Thai Hospital.
Investigations revealed the man had ridden the motorcycle to run errands at the market in Non Thai District. On his return home, he is believed to have been traveling at high speed when he lost control on a curve and plunged into the canal. Authorities will conduct a full legal investigation before the family receives the body for religious rites.
