International Olympic Committee Arrives in Thailand to Assess Readiness for 2030 Youth Olympic Games Host
An International Olympic Committee delegation led by Mrs. Danka Hrbékova arrived in Thailand to conduct a comprehensive assessment of the country's readiness to host the 2030 Youth Olympic Games. The three-day evaluation, taking place April 28-30, 2025, includes site inspections and technical workshops to assess Thailand's infrastructure, management vision, and overall capabilities. The International Olympic Committee (IOC) has arrived in Thailand to advance the assessment process of the country's readiness to host the 2030 Youth Olympic Games. Thai sports officials including Preecha Lalun, Deputy Secretary-General of the Sports Authority of Thailand for Elite Sports and Sports Science, along with Dr. Suwanna Siltapacha, Vice President of the Thai Olympic Committee, and Dr. Chuenchonok Sirivatchana, Deputy Secretary-General of the Thai Olympic Committee, welcomed Mrs. Danka Hrbékova, IOC member and chair of the 5th Youth Olympic Games 2030 working committee, and her delegation at Suvarnabhumi Airport on April 27, 2025.
The visit from April 28-30, 2025 represents a crucial milestone in the IOC's Targeted Dialogue process, an in-depth assessment phase. During the three-day period, the working committee will conduct site inspections at competition venues and participate in technical workshops to comprehensively evaluate Thailand's preparedness.
Thailand has prepared to present its readiness across all dimensions, including competition management vision, infrastructure development, and sustainable strategies for advancing the youth Olympic movement. The assessment aims to demonstrate Thailand's concrete capabilities and readiness to host the games.
