From a Day When Loss Still Runs Deep... to a Day When Care Never Fades
A senior Thai police commander injured in the 2020 Terminal 21 shooting in Nakhon Ratchasima continues to receive ongoing support from his superior, including monthly financial assistance, medical sponsorship, and facility improvements to a
Deputy Police Commander Graichai Khlaiakhlueang visited Senior Sergeant Major Kritsada Karun, commander of the 2nd Special Operations Company Counter-Terrorism Unit (Arintharaj 26), who was severely wounded responding to the shooting at Terminal 21 shopping mall in Nakhon Ratchasima on February 9, 2020. Under the 'Police Family - We Don't Leave Anyone Behind' program at the Police Aviation Division welfare residence in Thon Buri, Bangkok, the memory of that day's sacrifice remains vivid, and leadership has remained steadfastly by his side throughout.
Since the incident, Deputy Commander Graichai has consistently provided monthly assistance of 2,000 baht and sponsored a titanium skull implant surgery costing 68,000 baht. These actions reflect that for this commander, 'police family' is not merely words but genuine long-term care. Going beyond financial support, he ordered the installation of additional air conditioning units to ensure 24-hour cooling efficiency, allowing the unit to alternate operation and maintain optimal comfort for the injured officer's recovery.
By April 30, 2025, the installation was completed, representing another small gesture of genuine concern. It demonstrates that the 'police family' commitment extends far beyond the mission itself, continuing with every breath of those who made the ultimate sacrifice. From heart to heart, this is care that can be felt and understood.
