Kasetsart University is actively promoting future skills development and practical application of artificial intelligence technology in its educational system. The university has recently joined as a partner in the nationwide 'True x Google Presents: AI for All Thailand, A First-of-its-Kind Initiative to Build AI-Ready Citizens' program—a collaborative effort between the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation, True Corporation, and Google to increase Thai youth access to AI knowledge and strengthen the nation's human capital for the digital economy.
Dr. Damrong Sriphraram, Acting President of Kasetsart University, along with Associate Professor Ratchad Chompunich, Vice President for Student Affairs and Sustainable Development, and other university executives, students, and staff signed the partnership memorandum on May 5, 2025 at the True Tower Auditorium in Bangkok. This participation reflects the university's vision of developing an education system responsive to the digital age, integrating digital technology, artificial intelligence, and innovation into teaching, research, and student development to create high-quality graduates capable of competing in an innovation-based economy.
Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation Professor Dr. Yotchachai Wongsawasdee delivered a keynote address on the country's AI-driven development direction, emphasizing the importance of universal access to AI knowledge and promoting collaboration between government, private sector, and educational institutions.
The 'AI for All Thailand' program's core component is the development of an 'AI for Future Workforce' curriculum—a 45-hour AI course that offers legitimate university credit and integrates into higher education systems. The program also includes foundational AI learning through Gemini Academy in both online and offline formats, as well as AI competitions at university and national levels to provide students with practical experience and foster innovation.
As a leading higher education institution, Kasetsart University is committed to integrating AI knowledge across all academic units and campuses from the 2025 academic year onward, providing students and staff access to world-class knowledge, technology, and learning experiences to prepare them as key drivers of Thailand's sustainable digital future.
