Somchai Chuaybuunchum, coach of Sisaket United, has been selected for pro-license coaching certification training, along with Chanthorn Sriserm, a former Thai national women's football player.

The Football Association of Thailand announced the AFC Pro Diploma coaching course for 2025, the fourth cohort in the country, opening applications from March 16 through April 8. A total of 62 applicants were received—39 Thai nationals and 23 foreigners.

A selection committee led by Mr. Steve Rutter evaluated all candidates according to AFC standards, ultimately selecting 18 candidates: 14 Thai nationals and 4 foreigners. Among the Thai coaching quota, Somchai Chuaybuunchum of Sisaket United was selected, along with Chanthorn Sriserm, a former Thai national women's football player. Upon successful completion of the training, Chanthorn will become Thailand's second pro-licensed female coach, following "Coach One" Nueythaiywai Sathongwian, who completed Thailand's first pro-license certification.

The AFC Pro Diploma is the highest-level football coaching certification offered by the Asian Football Confederation. This training program is part of the assessment process for the AFC Coaching Convention at the Pro Level and aims to develop coaching standards in accordance with AFC guidelines.

The Pro-License coaching course is divided into four modules: • Module 1: May 7-16, 2025 (10 days) • Module 2: September 1-10, 2025 (10 days) • Module 3: February 1-10, 2026 (10 days) • Module 4: May 1-12, 2026 (12 days)

Training fees: • Thai applicants: 500,000 baht • Foreign applicants: 650,000 baht (Including expenses for international study tours)

Selected candidates will receive email notification with further details regarding tuition and fees.

What started as a joke about unemployment turned into an unexpected business opportunity when Nick Greenawalt from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, had a brilliant idea to transform a tiny space like a toilet into a real revenue-generating advertising area.

MoonPay revealed that the campaign generated 1 million Instagram video views, increased app downloads, and gained over 1,000 new followers—all while spending just 0.05% of their annual marketing budget. The campaign cost was remarkably low despite its exceptional reach.

On social media, his videos went viral rapidly, with some clips receiving over 40 million views and others nearly 13 million. Many viewers praised the creative thinking and saw it as new inspiration for the content and marketing world. Many comments noted that this idea represents not just novelty, but genuine out-of-the-box thinking that can turn into real career opportunities. Some even view him as a representative of a new generation of creators who can transform ordinary things into remarkable business ventures.

At approximately 2:45 AM on April 26, traffic police from Division 5 operating a sobriety checkpoint on Petchkasem Road, Nong Khang Plu Subdistrict, Nong Khae District, Bangkok, apprehended three suspects: Taweesak (36 years old), Phassakorn (30 years old), and Piyawat (28 years old). The arrests followed a dramatic chase after the men fled a sobriety checkpoint in their white Toyota sedan.

The incident occurred when officers became suspicious of the three men's appearance as they passed through the checkpoint. When police attempted to search the vehicle, the suspects suddenly drove through, opened the door, and fled on foot. Traffic police pursued and caught them approximately 500 meters away.

When questioned, all three suspects admitted to having used methamphetamine before arriving at the checkpoint. They voluntarily underwent drug testing at Rajphiphat Hospital, which confirmed the presence of illegal drugs in their systems.

The first suspect was charged with illegal possession and use of Category 1 drugs (methamphetamine) and driving under the influence of drugs. The second and third suspects were charged with illegal possession and use of Category 1 drugs. The three men were subsequently transferred to Nong Khang Plu Police Station for further legal proceedings.

At 9:30 a.m. on April 27, 2569, Paitoon Potthong, mayor of Khlong Ngoen Municipality, brought 63-year-old Anusorn (surname withheld), a former community leader, to surrender to Police Lieutenant Colonel Phuchit Triyampraia, superintendent of Khlong Ngoen Police Station.

Anusorn is accused of shooting 54-year-old Chaiwut (surname withheld), a hotel restaurant employee and local journalist, who died at his bedroom door at a residence on Phaholyothin Road, Chompoo Sub-district, Muang District, Lampang Province.

The victim's 56-year-old wife, Panada (surname withheld), and her sister were attacked by Anusorn with a knife, suffering serious laceration wounds. Panada sustained cuts to her head, neck, right shoulder, arm, and hand, requiring multiple stitches and surgery on her hand bones. The sister also sustained serious head wounds.

In his initial statement, Anusorn claimed he was watering plants in front of his food shop when he had a verbal altercation with the victim, who was holding a knife and opening his bedroom door. Anusorn said he followed the victim to the bedroom door while carrying a concealed handgun. He admitted losing his temper and fired one shotgun round at the victim's chest, then grabbed the victim's knife and chased and attacked Panada, who was screaming, as well as her sister who came to help. After the incident, his wife told him to flee, so he escaped on a motorcycle. He denied drinking alcohol at the time of the incident. This afternoon, the suspect will be taken to the crime scene for a reconstruction to support his confession.

On April 27, 2025, Lt. Col. Pranom Thongma, commander of Ladlumluang Police Station in Ayutthaya Province, escorted 35-year-old Sarawuth, the suspect in an armed shooting spree, from the detention room for additional questioning at the police station. The interrogation, which assessed the situation for his planned confession, lasted approximately one hour before he was returned to custody.

During the investigation, Sakchai, the husband of the deceased teacher, and family members arrived at the station consumed with rage. When officers emerged with the suspect, Sakchai attempted to rush forward and attack him. Police quickly returned the suspect to the interrogation room and deployed additional officers to control the situation and keep the grieving family at a distance.

When officers brought the suspect out again, Sakchai remained furious, cursing loudly and punching the wall hard in an attempt to release his anguish, sustaining injuries to his hand.

Sakchai revealed he had been waiting since the previous day to see the suspect face-to-face. He admitted feeling intense rage and wanting to strike him, still questioning whether the suspect was truly drug-intoxicated given his lack of remorseful expression. He also mentioned learning that people had tried to tell the suspect there were children in the car, yet he continued shooting without stopping. Sakchai questioned who would take responsibility if a bullet had hit his own child.

Sakchai demanded that the suspect apologize at his wife's funeral, while police announced they would implement strict security measures to prevent violence and mob justice in the Ladlumluang Police Station area.

At 11:00 AM on April 27, 2025, Government Spokesperson Rachada Thanadirek held a press conference at Government House following Singapore's Defence Minister Chang Chun Hing's courtesy visit to Prime Minister Anuthint Chanyaweerukul and Deputy Prime Minister. She reported that discussions were cordial, reflecting the long-standing and firm relationship between Thailand and Singapore, particularly between their leaders. Singapore's Prime Minister Lawrence Wong had previously called to congratulate Anuthint on his appointment.

Addressing opposition criticism about the lack of financial projections, Rachada noted that this project has been promoted for years and large projects require thorough economic and environmental impact analysis before Cabinet submission. She assured that the government will not approve blank proposals and that everything will be transparent. She also stressed that the project involves private sector investment.

When asked about public understanding in affected areas amid apparent resistance, Rachada acknowledged that all large projects require public engagement and ongoing communication to address concerns.
