Na Chuay Passes Selection - Chanthorn Poised to Become Thailand's Second Pro-Licensed Female Coach
Somchai Chuaybuunchum, coach of Sisaket United, and Chanthorn Sriserm, a former Thai national women's football player, have been selected for Thailand's fourth AFC Pro Diploma coaching course. If Chanthorn successfully completes the training, she will become Thailand's second pro-licensed female coach. The 18 selected candidates, including 14 Thai coaches and 4 foreign coaches, will begin their certification training in May 2025.

The Football Association of Thailand announced the AFC Pro Diploma coaching course for 2025, the fourth cohort in the country, opening applications from March 16 through April 8. A total of 62 applicants were received—39 Thai nationals and 23 foreigners.
A selection committee led by Mr. Steve Rutter evaluated all candidates according to AFC standards, ultimately selecting 18 candidates: 14 Thai nationals and 4 foreigners. Among the Thai coaching quota, Somchai Chuaybuunchum of Sisaket United was selected, along with Chanthorn Sriserm, a former Thai national women's football player. Upon successful completion of the training, Chanthorn will become Thailand's second pro-licensed female coach, following "Coach One" Nueythaiywai Sathongwian, who completed Thailand's first pro-license certification.

The AFC Pro Diploma is the highest-level football coaching certification offered by the Asian Football Confederation. This training program is part of the assessment process for the AFC Coaching Convention at the Pro Level and aims to develop coaching standards in accordance with AFC guidelines.
The Pro-License coaching course is divided into four modules: • Module 1: May 7-16, 2025 (10 days) • Module 2: September 1-10, 2025 (10 days) • Module 3: February 1-10, 2026 (10 days) • Module 4: May 1-12, 2026 (12 days)
Training fees: • Thai applicants: 500,000 baht • Foreign applicants: 650,000 baht (Including expenses for international study tours)
