Army Region 3 Launches Batch 12 Attack Drone Operator Course with Full-Scale Demonstration of Surveillance and Bombing Drones Including Night Operations, Focused on Enhanced Capabilities for Naresuan Task Force. May 8, 2025 – At the Wachirprakarn Range, 310th Infantry Division, Muang Tak District, Tak Province. General Worapheth Bunyabunnya, Commander of Army Region 3, and the Region 3 Operations Center Commander visited the tactical attack drone operator training course Batch 12 of the Naresuan Task Force to monitor training results and develop personnel capabilities in modern combat technology. Deputy Commander Nrong Chai Charoen Chai of the Naresuan Task Force received them, along with Training Chief Nath Korn Ruean Tib, training instructors, and personnel undergoing training. The curriculum was designed to develop personnel capabilities in using tactical unmanned aerial vehicles, preparing them to support security missions, surveillance, monitoring, and military operations in new formats. Unmanned drone technology is considered one of the critical military equipment playing a significant role in current battlefield operations. During this occasion, Army Region 3 witnessed demonstrations of various tactical unmanned aerial vehicle operations including surveillance drones, bombing drones, fire-bombing drones, and FPV-type drones, which can be applied to intelligence gathering, area surveillance, target tracking, and tactical support operations in border areas. The training enhanced skills and capabilities for night bombing operations and special operations areas. Additionally, Army Region 3 met with training instructors and trainees, providing encouragement and emphasizing the importance of learning and developing military technology skills to ensure personnel are prepared for missions in rapidly changing situations and can effectively counter new forms of threats. Army Region 3 praised the determination, commitment, and readiness of all personnel, as well as the systematic and modern training conducted by the Naresuan Task Force, which aligns with the direction of developing the Army into a digital-era military force. This emphasizes the importance of integrating technology and innovation to enhance capabilities in performing national security missions effectively and sustainably.
