Lucky Sugarcane Vendor Wins 10 Lottery Tickets, Distributes Free Juice to Villagers at Temple
A sugarcane vendor in Chachoengsao Province won 20,000 baht in the lottery and celebrated by distributing free sugarcane juice to villagers at a temple merit-making ceremony on May 2.
On May 2, 2025, at 5:00 PM at the chapel of Luang Pho Yai Temple in Wat Huai Soop, Namatum District, Panasnikhom, Chachoengsao Province, over 20 villagers won lottery prizes with the numbers 43 and 065, each holding 10 tickets. They came to make merit offerings at the temple, which had over 30,000 firecrackers lit in celebration, with lottery tickets densely packed in everyone's hands.
When interviewed, 46-year-old sugarcane vendor Amorn revealed that he had previously come to make merit and seek blessings and good fortune from Luang Pho Yai. He then drew the number 43 from a ping-pong ball lottery, purchased one set of 10 tickets, and won approximately 20,000 baht when that number was drawn today. He brought firecrackers to make offerings to Luang Pho Yai in gratitude.
Another lucky winner, 60-year-old Noi, won 10 tickets with the number 065 (last three digits) and 10 more with 43 (last two digits), receiving approximately 50,000 baht. She revealed that she came to make merit, and a temple monk gave her an incense stick number, which she lit and used to request the lucky number 065. She purchased tickets with this number and won both the three-digit and two-digit endings with 10 tickets each, coming to make offerings with Luang Pho Yai.
Several other villagers also won prizes with three-digit front numbers and two-digit endings, with 2-5 tickets each.
Amorn then lit firecrackers and drew additional numbers 573, 64, 781, and 30. He also distributed all remaining sugarcane juice from his vehicle to villagers who came to make merit and offerings at Luang Pho Yai's chapel, emptying his entire stock. He announced plans to use the numbers drawn today to try his luck in the lottery drawing on May 16, 2025.
