First Look Inside "Thalae Wela" Home! Koi-P'Toon Share Their Simple Family Life

Rock star P'Toon Bodyslan and his wife Koi Ratchawin open their Phuket home "Thalae Wela" for the first time, showcasing how they've built a family sanctuary featuring a recording studio, spa, and fitness spaces designed for their life together. The couple shares their 16-year love story, including Koi's sacrifice of leaving everything behind during the COVID-19 pandemic to relocate to Phuket and become a full-time mother. Their warm family dynamic is featured in a special episode of "Tee Tail Krua," revealing a rock star's tender side as a devoted father and husband.

29 Apr Khaosod

This week's episode of "Tee Tail Krua" visits the warm and welcoming home of rock star P'Toon Bodyslan and his wife Koi Ratchawin in Phuket. The couple describes their house, "Thalae Wela," not merely as a residence but as the heart of their family life. For the first time, they open every corner of the home they've carefully designed together. P'Toon's music recording studio was intentionally set up to nurture their son "N'Thalae," who fell in love with drumming as a child. A spa and hot spring room was created by Koi specifically for P'Toon to recover from the physical toll of his grueling concert tours. A physical therapy room reflects P'Toon's resilience—despite undergoing four surgeries, he continues to take the stage. A fitness room helps Koi maintain her health and strength in her role as a devoted mother.

The couple shares the origin story of their life in Phuket. P'Toon loved running there and invited Koi to join him. As he trained, he began imagining: if he had a family someday, he'd want to raise them here. This dream became reality when he made the major decision to drive Koi—who was 32 weeks pregnant—down south during COVID-19 to start fresh. What was supposed to be a Bangkok birth transformed into a complete new beginning in Phuket. After two years of adjusting, Koi expressed her gratitude: "Thank you for bringing me to such a wonderful environment. Our children get to grow up surrounded by nature. I've had the chance to reset myself and fully embrace my role as a mother every day."

Their love story is legendary—a woman who ran after a man named Toon, from north to south, and built a complete family together. Their relationship officially began 16 years ago at P'Toon's most vulnerable moment—hospitalized for surgery with Koi by his side. P'Toon acknowledges her tremendous sacrifice: she gave up her career, friends, and social life to move to Phuket and become a full-time mother and homemaker.

As a father, P'Toon intended to be strict and disciplined, but ultimately he indulges his children completely—especially his daughter, where his strictness virtually disappears. Fans who've heard the rocker's gentle voice with his kids find their hearts melting. The episode closes with a touching moment revealing Koi's true heart. When P'Toon arranged comprehensive life insurance, Koi replied: "I don't want the insurance payout. I want P'Toon's life—to stay with him and our children for as long as possible."

This is love transcending love itself—a small family overflowing with meaning in the home called "Thalae Wela" (Sea and Time). Follow this family's warmth and affection in the episode of "Tee Tail Krua" airing Sunday, May 3rd at 2:15 PM.

Land Transport Department Cracks Down: Revokes Gas Inspection Station License and Engineer's Credentials for Fraud

The Department of Land Transport revoked the operating license of a gas vehicle inspection station and stripped its signatory engineer of professional credentials for issuing false inspection certificates. An investigation found the station issued certificates for vehicles in different provinces simultaneously while the engineer was confirmed to be working elsewhere and never conducted actual inspections. The department warned all gas inspection operators that certificates must accurately reflect real inspections and urged the public to report similar violations to hotline 1584.

29 Apr Khaosod

The Department of Land Transport is taking strict action, revoking both the inspection station's license and the engineer's professional credentials for fraud. Nitipat Thaichongrak, Director of the Automotive Engineering Office and Department of Land Transport spokesperson, announced that a comprehensive inspection operation uncovered document irregularities in vehicle tax collection after discovering that inspection certificates for gas vehicles contradicted actual facts.

The detailed investigation revealed that the gas vehicle inspection station issued certificates for vehicles located in different provinces during the same time period. When checking records in the information system, investigators found evidence that the signatory engineer was working in other locations all along and never actually traveled to inspect those vehicles.

These actions constitute violations including issuing false inspection and testing reports, or issuing inspection and testing certificates without actually conducting inspections and tests, as well as failing to properly oversee and supervise inspection and testing personnel in accordance with regulations under sections 3.1 and 3.2 of the Department of Land Transport's announcement on criteria and procedures for revoking approvals for CNG/LPG vehicle inspection and testing personnel.

"The department has immediately revoked the gas vehicle inspection station's operating license and reported the engineer to the Engineering Council for professional misconduct. The Engineering Council has voted to revoke the engineer's professional license," the statement said.

The department warns all gas vehicle inspection station operators and personnel that inspection and testing certificates must accurately reflect actual inspections and tests conducted. All inspection, testing, and personnel activities must strictly comply with departmental regulations to ensure the safety of CNG/LPG vehicle users and all road users. Anyone who witnesses violations by gas inspection stations can report them to the Department of Land Transport hotline 1584, and the department will investigate and take legal action accordingly.

Throwing Down the Gauntlet – Orange and Blue Unite to Scrutinize NACC Decision

The Democratic Party and Pheu Thai Party have joined forces to challenge the National Anti-Corruption Commission's dismissal of a case against Saksiam Chidchob, raising concerns about selective examination and potential conflicts of interest. The unified opposition is pursuing multiple legal channels, including a request for Supreme Court investigation and an appeal to the NACC to reconsider its decision. This alliance signals a strategic shift in opposition tactics from individual action to coordinated teamwork in scrutinizing government power.

29 Apr Khaosod

The Democratic Party's alliance with the Pheu Thai Party to challenge the NACC's dismissal of the Saksiam Chidchob case represents a noteworthy opposition political movement. The Democrats question the NACC's decision, arguing it may have selectively examined only favorable points while overlooking certain facts, particularly regarding the ruling's contradiction with the Constitutional Court's interpretation on nominee issues and company ownership. The Democrats have presented new evidence, including a directive from a former Transport Minister requiring procurement to be reported to the minister first. While not direct interference, this opens questions about indirect exercise of power and potential conflicts of interest. When combined with the issue of companies linked to the accused conducting business with agencies they oversee, these concerns challenge the standards of independent oversight bodies. The Democrats are pursuing parallel avenues—submitting through the Parliamentary Speaker under Article 236 for independent Supreme Court investigation while also directly requesting the NACC reconsider its decision, employing full constitutional mechanisms. However, the critical issue lies with the Parliamentary Speaker's discretion to decide whether to forward the case to the Supreme Court, raising impartiality concerns that have sparked proposals to amend Article 236 to remove this power. Beyond NACC oversight, what stands out most is the alliance between the Democratic Party and Pheu Thai Party, two parties previously holding notably different political positions. They are now choosing to seek common ground while preserving their differences in scrutinizing state power. This unified pressure significantly increases scrutiny weight, transforming scattered individual efforts into focused directional force. This signals to the government that opposition strategy is shifting from individual players to coordinated teamwork. How effectively the government can counter a unified opposition and manage heightened scrutiny remains a major point of interest.

Woman Wore Colored Contact Lenses Daily for 20 Years Thinking It Was Just Dry Eyes—Doctor Warns Her Corneas Were Oxygen-Deprived Without Her Knowledge

A Thai woman discovered after 20 years of daily wear that colored contact lenses were oxygen-depriving her corneas, causing dry eyes and irritation she'd mistaken for normal. Switching to clear lenses immediately resolved her symptoms, prom

29 Apr Khaosod

A woman shared her experience on TikTok on April 29, warning others who wear colored contact lenses. She had been wearing blue colored contacts daily for 20 years before a doctor informed her that her eyes were oxygen-deprived, causing unnoticed stress to her corneas. She revealed that she started wearing these colored lenses in 2006 without ever considering they could be problematic. Although she experienced dry eyes, irritation, and regularly needed artificial tears, she normalized these symptoms. The turning point came during a routine eye exam when her doctor explained that the colored lenses might be limiting her cornea's oxygen intake, essentially suffocating her eyes. She decided to switch to clear contact lenses, and the difference was immediate. Her eye health improved noticeably—the irritation disappeared and she no longer needed artificial tears. Internet users praised her natural appearance without the colored lenses and noted she looked younger, though some suggested she had confidence issues. She denied these claims.

Police Bust Hotel Operation: Man Arrested for Procuring Minors for Sex Trade via Line App

Police arrested a 57-year-old man at a Bangkok hotel for recruiting minors for sexual exploitation through a Line messaging account, rescuing three underage victims in an undercover sting operation.

29 Apr Khaosod

On April 29, 2569, Police Lieutenant General Siam Boonserm, Police Major General Worrawit Yanacinda, and other officers from Division 191 and the Department of Special Investigation coordinated to arrest Anusotn (surname withheld), age 57, along with evidence including 5,000 baht in marked bills used for the sting operation, one mobile phone, and a white Honda City automobile.

The arrest took place at a hotel on Ngamwongwan Road, Thung Song Hong Subdistrict, Bang Kok District, Bangkok, on April 28, 2569, at approximately 2:40 p.m.

Police received a tip that the suspect was facilitating the provision of male sexual services with boys under 18 years old to clients at various locations through contact via a Line chat account named 'Koko'o Jung.' An undercover officer contacted the account, and the suspect agreed to supply a boy under 18 for 5,000 baht, arranging to deliver him to a hotel in the Ngamwongwan area at approximately 3:30 p.m.

At around 4:00 p.m., officers observed a vehicle arrive at the hotel. Anusotn and two other men, along with three minor victims, exited the vehicle and entered the building. An undercover officer, posing as a client, handed over 5,000 baht and brought all three minors to a hotel room. When Anusotn exited the building to return to the vehicle, officers revealed their identities and conducted a search, finding the marked money in his front left pants pocket.

Upon questioning, Anusotn admitted that the money came from delivering the three minors to a client. He stated his plan was to distribute 1,000 baht each to the three victims and keep 1,500 baht for himself.

Police charged him with: (1) human trafficking for the purpose of sexual exploitation of persons aged 15-18; (2) procuring or facilitating the prostitution of minors aged 15-18; and (3) profiting from the prostitution of others. The three juvenile victims, all under 18 years old, were documented and taken into care.

Deputy PM Piwat targets 2030 for Land Bridge groundbreaking, orders transport agency to expedite investment model study

Thailand's government targets 2030 to break ground on the Land Bridge, an economic corridor connecting the Gulf of Thailand and Andaman Sea, after conducting public consultations in Ranong and Chumphon provinces this May.

29 Apr Khaosod

Deputy Prime Minister and Transport Minister Piwat Sarasin revealed details about the Land Bridge project—an economic corridor connecting the Gulf of Thailand and Andaman Sea—stating that research by the Office of Transport and Traffic Policy and Planning (OTPP) confirms the project is worthwhile and represents an opportunity for Thailand. The government plans to conduct field visits to Ranong and Chumphon provinces on May 8, 2025, to gather public input from residents and stakeholders. The route will start in Chumphon's Lang Suan and Phathalung districts before moving to Ranong for discussions with community leaders and local representatives. Officials will emphasize the importance of public participation and explain the project's advantages, disadvantages, and employment opportunities—from maritime services to related businesses—while ensuring local residents benefit through reserved positions and local company participation.

Piwat stated he is unconcerned about opposition, viewing it as normal for major projects, and called on all parties to prioritize national interest over factional benefits. He clarified that concerns about the Land Bridge dividing the country are unfounded and noted that environmental impact assessments will minimize ecological damage. The government expects to submit the Southern Economic Corridor Act draft to the cabinet in the third quarter of 2025 and aims to begin the Land Bridge's first-phase construction in 2030.

OTTP director Jirojn Sukaratna said his agency will accelerate design and environmental impact assessments (EIA and EHIA) in coordination with the Department of Highways and State Railway of Thailand, targeting completion by 2030 to attract investors and begin construction. Additionally, the OTPP will request budget allocation in 2030 to study the waterway motorway project (MMR1) connecting northern Thailand to the Gulf of Thailand, with results expected before cabinet approval by 2030.

Vietnam Naturalizes Brazilian Footballer, Names Him Nguyen Tai Loc

Vietnam has granted citizenship to Brazilian striker Cheo Vanni Makno, now known as Nguyen Tai Loc, to strengthen its national football team alongside other naturalized foreign players.

29 Apr Khaosod

Vietnam has decided to naturalize another Brazilian footballer to bolster the national team by granting citizenship to Cheo Vanni Makno, a striker from Ninh Binh FC. The 32-year-old Brazilian striker from Ninh Binh FC has completed the naturalization process. After the Vietnamese Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism submitted his application to the Justice Ministry in September last year, Vietnam's national team head coach Kim Sang Sik had recommended Cheo Vanni Makno to the Vietnam Football Federation, citing his exceptional playing abilities. Vietnam has now formally granted Makno citizenship and given him the Vietnamese name Nguyen Tai Loc. With Nguyen Tai Loc's naturalization, Vietnam's national team can now immediately deploy him alongside other naturalized foreign players such as Hendrio (Do Hoang Hen) and Rafaelson (Nguyen Xuan Sern). Nguyen Tai Loc has been playing continuously in Vietnam's domestic league for six consecutive years with multiple clubs, recording 130 appearances and 42 goals.
