On the evening of May 18, 2025, at Udon Thani City Police Station, a dormitory owner and a 21-year-old fourth-year university student filed a complaint with investigators against 21-year-old Kittipong (surname withheld), a senior from the same university, for illegally entering the student's room around 5:02 a.m. on May 18. Security camera footage shows Kittipong arriving at 4:59 a.m., waiting and observing his surroundings, then crossing the street to the dormitory. He scaled the fence carrying what appeared to be a flashlight, entered the victim's room through an unlocked back door, and remained inside for approximately 30 minutes before climbing back out at 5:36 a.m. and returning home.
During the investigation, officers discovered that the neighboring resident was a police officer—Kittipong's father. Upon questioning with evidence and CCTV footage presented, Kittipong admitted to scaling the fence and entering the victim's dormitory room without permission. He claimed his motivation stemmed from emotional distress and a desire to resolve previous issues and apologize. He explained that his girlfriend had become suspicious and jealous of the victim, leading to her unfollowing the victim on Instagram, which prompted his impulsive action.
The victim stated that she had previously respected Kittipong as a senior from her university and that he had been helpful to her.
