Family members were stunned to discover a 47-year-old man fatally shot in Khanai, reporting they heard multiple gunshots but no one responded due to frequent shooting sounds in the area. Police are urgently pursuing the suspect.

At 10:30 a.m. on May 23, 2569, Sergeant Major Nairongk Hokpan of Kongkra Police Station received a report of a fatal shooting in Khanai within a fruit orchard in Khlong Chaleam subdistrict, Kongkra district, Phatthalung province. He immediately led investigation officers, evidence technicians from Phatthalung, and a hospital physician to the scene.

At the location, officers found the body of Wirojn (surname withheld), 47 years old, lying face down. The victim had four gunshot wounds to the neck and back from an unidentified firearm, believed to be a homemade weapon. Officers could not determine the exact type of gun used. The body was sent for autopsy and bullet extraction at Hat Yai Hospital.

Initial investigation revealed that around 8:00 p.m. on May 22, residents heard 4-5 gunshots but did not check on the incident due to the frequency of shooting sounds in the Khanai area. It was not until relatives arrived that they discovered the victim had been shot dead.

The motive remains under investigation. Officers found that the victim had a history of petty theft and drug use, frequently causing disturbance among residents, and preferred to keep to himself.

Cat lovers rejoice: Syros, a small island in Greece, is recruiting volunteers to care for cats in exchange for free housing, breakfast, and basic utilities. "The Department of Business Development urges the business sector not to wait until the last minute," Poonpong stated. "If document errors occur or the system becomes congested, it could result in serious consequences: (1) legal penalties affecting both the juristic person and individual authorized directors; (2) damage to business reputation and credit, as non-submission will show a 'Default Status' that erodes confidence from investors, partners, and financial institutions, causing missed investment opportunities; and (3) risk of legal summons, and if filing defaults continue for three years, the company will be deregistered as an abandoned business."

He urged businesses with completed financial statements to submit immediately to allow time for corrections if any defects are found. "Don't let delays destroy the business credibility you've built. Act quickly. The department would prefer not to assess penalties or pursue legal action against the business sector," he said.

Regarding issues involving nominee arrangements and other legal complexities requiring inter-ministerial coordination, proper legal procedures must be followed. The city will serve as a focal point for public complaints related to legal violations while coordinating with relevant agencies.
