Praise for Speech-Disabled Rider Who Heroically Climbed Tree to Rescue Unconscious Homeowner Before Paramedics Arrived
A speech-disabled motorcycle rider heroically climbed a tree in Samut Prakan to rescue a 59-year-old woman who lost consciousness while trimming branches, bringing her down safely before paramedics arrived.
On May 24, 2025, Samut Prakan Hospital's rescue center received an emergency call reporting a woman unconscious in a tree on Wat Dan Samrong Soi 40/2 in Samut Prakan's Muang District. After receiving the alert, they coordinated with Po Tek Tung Foundation volunteers to provide urgent assistance. When officials arrived on scene, they discovered that a good Samaritan and local residents had already successfully brought the woman down from the tree. The victim was identified as 59-year-old Kesara, the homeowner, who was unconscious. Rescue personnel administered first aid before rushing her to a nearby hospital. Initial assessment suggested heat stroke caused by extreme heat conditions. According to eyewitness Nai Yai, 64, the woman had climbed the tree to trim branches when she suddenly lost consciousness. Her husband, witnessing the incident, quickly climbed up and used a safety rope to secure and support her, but could not bring her down. Neighbors called emergency services for help. During this time, a speech-disabled male motorcycle rider passing by witnessed the emergency and immediately jumped the fence to assist. He quickly climbed up, released the safety rope, and carefully carried the woman down from the tree to safety, with neighbors helping by positioning a ladder to facilitate the rescue. The community praised the young rider's bravery and compassion.
