Officers found a damaged Toyota Innova with Bangkok license plates and identified the injured party as Thanit, 38, the new husband, who suffered a sharp object wound to the back of his left hand. The suspect was identified as Natchanan, 33, the ex-husband, who was driving an Isuzu pickup truck with Pathumthani license plates and initially fled the scene.

According to the mother of the injured man, she accompanied her son to file a report and undergo medical examination at Pathumthani Hospital. Police detained Natchanan for questioning.

Initially, the suspect claimed he acted out of anger after the injured party sent him a video clip of himself with the ex-wife to provoke him. The suspect stated he wanted the matter to be resolved amicably but expressed concern about the other party's local influence.

Police Commander Metsanan Nakhwan of Suan Prik Thai Police Station said that while they have the suspect in custody for questioning, formal charges have not yet been filed pending the doctor's injury assessment to determine if the charge should be assault or aggravated assault. Preliminary investigation indicates the incident stemmed from jealousy over infidelity, with both parties being well-acquainted. Once hospital confirmation and evidence collection are complete, the suspect will be formally charged and prosecuted.

During questioning, Veeraphat admitted to stabbing the victim but claimed self-defense. He stated that on the day of the incident, he was running errands before heading home to buy pork for his mother. He alleged that after the argument, the car driver suddenly grabbed a hammer from his vehicle and struck him first, causing wounds to his head that required stitches, as well as injuries to his shoulder, arm, and leg. Veeraphat claimed he only stabbed once in self-defense, as he felt threatened for his life and didn't intend to kill. He acknowledged carrying a small pocket knife, approximately 3 inches long, for self-protection due to previous dangerous encounters. Investigators are continuing to gather evidence before forwarding the case for prosecution and detention.

He also admitted to illegal border crossing. According to his account, the incident began when both men drank alcohol together, leading to an argument about work. When Noo was preparing instant noodles, the victim approached and threw Noo's canvas shoe into the noodle bowl in anger. This enraged Noo, who seized the opportunity while the victim was resting on the canvas bed to strike him with an axe in the neck, resulting in death. Noo stole the pickup truck to escape but abandoned it when it ran out of fuel and he was unfamiliar with the route. He then borrowed his friend's motorcycle and attempted to find new employment as if nothing had happened.

Police have filed serious charges against Noo and discovered he had illegally entered Thailand. He has been detained and will face legal proceedings.
