Over five years, the resourceful dog has directly generated over 47,000 baht through bottle collection, and its viral fame has boosted total earnings to approximately 470,000 baht through social media engagement. The story has inspired local businesses to reserve bottles for Xiaobai and serves as motivation for people to pursue their passions and work diligently.

One clever dog is making headlines for its sustainable side hustle! Xiaobai, a French Bulldog from Guangzhou, China, has captured hearts online with an impressive environmental habit—collecting discarded plastic bottles. Whenever Xiaobai spots a bottle, it quickly retrieves it, then intelligently unscrews the cap, pours out any remaining liquid, and flattens the bottle before giving it to owner Zhang for recycling.

The dog's heartwarming story gained traction starting last August. According to Zhang, over the past five years, Xiaobai has helped collect bottles worth more than 10,000 yuan (approximately 47,000 baht). As the story spread online, the buzz around Xiaobai's adorable diligence continued to grow, eventually generating over 100,000 yuan (around 470,000 baht) in total revenue.

After appearing in interviews, Xiaobai's popularity skyrocketed. The dog now has nearly 270,000 followers on Douyin, with income steadily increasing from video views. During the recent five-day Labor Day holiday period, Xiaobai collected bottles worth 216 yuan (approximately 1,025 baht) from its own efforts and donations from local shops.

Zhang explains that Xiaobai doesn't need the income to survive—he already runs a business and ensures the dog is well-fed and cared for. Rather, bottle collecting is simply a beloved hobby that Xiaobai enjoys. By documenting these adorable moments, Zhang hopes to inspire others to work hard and persevere in life.

Lawyer for MP Komlasak Files Request with Police Chief to Investigate Evidence in Shooting Case, Believes There Are Masterminds Behind the Plot

Lawyer for Narathiwat MP Komlasak filed a petition with the police chief demanding investigation into masterminds behind a March shooting attack, arguing that seven arrested suspects were hired killers and the true organizers remain unident

7 May Khaosod

On May 7, 2025, at the Royal Thai Police headquarters, attorney Gija Alishawah, representing Narathiwat MP Komlasak Leewamae of the Prachachat Party, filed a petition for justice with Police Commissioner General Kittarat Panphetch. The petition sought fair treatment for Komlasak and two other victims of a shooting attack that occurred on March 20. The lawyer argues that beyond the seven suspects already arrested, there are other masterminds directing the operation.

Gija revealed that he had been authorized by Komlasak and the two other shooting victims to file this complaint with national police headquarters, following two previous complaints to local investigators. He expressed frustration that investigators announced they had captured all perpetrators but offered no clear direction on how the case would proceed. The victims believe multiple organizers remain unidentified.

Gija highlighted concerns about the investigation's thoroughness, noting that despite arresting seven suspects, this doesn't guarantee conviction without solid evidence. He called for police oversight of the investigation team and accelerated case proceedings, requesting they gather phone records, examine LINE and messaging applications, monitor social media discussions related to the shooting, and track weapon usage and vehicle routes.

Gija drew comparisons to other national security cases, such as bombings at police headquarters, where investigators worked with greater detail and speed. He expressed concern that Komlasak's case might parallel that of attorney Somchai Nilamphaijit, where the true organizers remain unknown to this day. Based on suspects' statements—many claiming they had no connection to Komlasak or disputes with him—it's evident they were hired killers. Investigators must determine who hired them. Gija emphasized the need for rock-solid evidence establishing the identity of those who ordered and financed the attack, so courts can hold all perpetrators accountable.

Gija noted that Komlasak is currently under witness protection with local and central police providing security. However, two detained military officers with senior ranks and local positions were released on bail, raising concerns they might intimidate witnesses or tamper with evidence, prompting this petition to the police chief.

Neymar Apologizes for Going Too Far After Slapping Robinho Jr. in Training

Neymar apologized publicly after slapping teammate Robinho Jr. during a Santos training session on May 3, saying he lost control of his emotions following an on-field disagreement.

7 May Khaosod

Brazilian superstar Neymar has issued a public apology to Robinho Jr., a younger teammate at Santos and son of legendary player Robinho, saying his actions were excessive. Santos opened an investigation after reports that Robinho Jr. accused Neymar of slapping him hard on Sunday, May 3, during a training session at Rei Pelé stadium, following an incident where Jr. dribbled the ball past the 34-year-old forward. Recently, Neymar returned to action for Santos and scored in a 1-1 draw against Recife on May 5. After scoring, he embraced Robinho Jr. in celebration, and later gave a media interview saying: "If you want an apology in front of the media, here it is. I went overboard. Yes, in the way I expressed myself, it could have been different, but ultimately I couldn't control my emotions. Everyone makes mistakes. It's my fault, it's his fault. I made a bigger mistake than he did." He continued: "He's a kid I really like. I have a special affection and bond with him. These things happen in football. You argue with your friends, your brothers. That's football. It's part of the game." Robinho Jr. stated that Neymar "realized immediately that he went too far" and apologized "multiple times" for the incident. "It's a situation that upset me because Neymar has been my idol since I was a kid," Jr. said. "There's a lot of false talk from people around, and it's sad that it blew up like this. But I'm fine. I really like him. We talked and everything is settled."

PM Dismisses Opposition, Reveals Speculative Land Purchases Ahead of Land Bridge Project, Says 'Don't Jump the Gun'

Prime Minister Anun Chaiyanupong dismissed opposition concerns about land speculation surrounding the proposed Land Bridge project, insisting the initiative remains in study phase and urging critics not to prejudge its outcomes.

7 May Khaosod

At 10:30 a.m. on May 7, 2025, at Royal Thai Air Force Base 6 in Don Muang, Prime Minister Anun Chaiyanupong and Interior Minister addressed opposition criticism of the Land Bridge project, noting that speculators are buying land ahead of the initiative. The government, he said, is currently focused on helping citizens and alleviating suffering. He cautioned against premature judgment, noting the project has not yet begun and circumstances have changed since previous studies were conducted. Thailand must position itself as a regional center capable of self-reliance in economic development and logistics, standing firm regardless of regional conflicts, he explained. When asked about rumors of 99-year land leases to foreign investors, the PM said the government does not heed rumors and the matter concerns investment in the Land Bridge project specifically. He clarified that the project remains in the study phase, with a committee headed by Deputy PM Ekniti Nitithanpracha and Finance Minister conducting current analysis. When questioned whether the opposition's early criticism would hinder the project, he stated everything depends on the committee's findings. Regarding public input, Anun said the government must listen to the people and has instructed the committee to include representatives from affected communities. When asked if he felt discouraged by scrutiny and attacks, the PM responded humorously that there is no reason to back down, noting he is Chinese and 'backing down is bad luck'—a shovel-backed person eats every day anyway. Regarding a constitutional amendment bill that was rejected citing urgent matters, the PM declined to comment, glanced at his watch, announced 'final statement,' and departed for his flight to the Philippines.

Older Brother Speaks Out on Dark Heart: Woman Rams Motorcycle, Then Stomps on Victim's Face

A man's older brother has spoken out about a fatal incident in which a 42-year-old woman hit and killed her estranged husband with her car on a Saraburi road, then stepped on his face. The brother acknowledged the deceased was unfaithful but defended his character, emphasizing that the woman's actions—running him down and deliberately stomping on his face—were heartlessly cruel. The brother called for an end to the cycle of revenge, expressing both forgiveness and sorrow for the tragic outcome.

7 May Khaosod

The older brother opens up about his sibling being hit by the vengeful ex-girlfriend's car, acknowledging the deceased was a womanizer but defending his character and condemning the heartlessness of the attack. A 42-year-old woman driving a Bangkok-registered Honda Jazz struck a Yamaha Fino motorcycle, killing 38-year-old Aphisit, her estranged husband, on Phahon Yothin Road kilometer 102 (parallel lane entering Saraburi) in Nong Yao Subdistrict, Muang District, Saraburi Province. She then got out and stomped repeatedly on the victim's face.

In an interview on May 7, 2025, Aphisit's 46-year-old older brother, whom the deceased deeply respected, revealed that during their 30-plus years together, the deceased was a good person with many friends, though some disliked him. He acknowledged his brother was a womanizer before meeting the suspect, but claimed he never brought other women around once they were together.

The brother explained that the couple gradually spent less time together because they had different lifestyles and children from previous relationships. The suspect's father also disapproved of the deceased, suspecting he was after their money. Regarding claims the deceased took a million baht from the suspect, the brother said he believed the money was spent on their life together—pointing to photos of boat trips and visits to Laos.

The brother acknowledged his sibling was unfaithful, noting that after each breakup he'd move on to someone new, introducing each as "my wife." However, during the relationship with the suspect, he never saw other women brought around. He posted on Facebook to share the male perspective after receiving harsh comments, as the deceased could not speak for himself.

When confronted, the suspect would only say they couldn't be together and once warned him to think carefully about breaking up. What disturbed the brother most was the image of her stomping on the deceased's face. He described her as heartless for not only hitting him but then deliberately stepping on his face. He questioned why she would seek such revenge and expressed both anger at her and pity for the victim, saying he forgave her personally but wouldn't want their grievances to carry forward into the next life.

The deceased's body was being transferred from the hospital at 2 p.m. that day.

7 May Khaosod

The Treasury Ministry has launched a major reshuffle following Kulya Tantiimit's resignation as director-general of the Revenue Department at age 54, forgoing the opportunity to advance to permanent secretary of the Finance Ministry. Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Ekniti Nititanprapast has issued orders establishing a succession line of nine officials to serve as acting director-general beginning May 3, 2025, including: Somsak Anantavat, advisor on energy business tax collection strategy; Kriengsak Prasong Sukanjanh, efficiency advisor; Phinyu Kamneutlom, IT and communications advisor; Salakchit Pongsirijanth, financial transaction tax strategy advisor; Chitra Neesanant, tax base development advisor; and four deputy directors-general including Phawatwat Luongwilai, Surayuth Kobkitpanichphol, Krueda Kritiyachotipakon, and Khanruck Suwannaram.

Meanwhile, speculation surrounds the appointment of the next permanent director-general, with several candidates under consideration including Winit Visetsuwannaphum, current director of the Office of Fiscal Policy, and Patricia Mongkolvanit, director-general of the Comptroller General's Department. However, the frontrunner appears to be Pornchai Thiravech, director-general of the Excise Department, who is senior and well-regarded by government leadership. If Pornchai advances to the Revenue Department post, candidates for his vacant position include Thibadee Wattanakul, director of the State Enterprise Policy Committee, and Akkrut Santhayanan, director-general of the Treasury Department who previously advised on tax collection development.

Thai actress Tu Tontawan dismissed dating rumors with co-star Win Methawin, clarifying they are just close friends who frequently work together and enjoy casual hangouts.

7 May Khaosod

Tu Tontawan Tantiwechakul has addressed the recent dating rumors involving actor Win Methawin after photos emerged of them dining together. The actress, who previously faced intense fan speculation pairing her with co-star Bright Vachirawit (which she clarified was purely fraternal), opened up during an appearance at the "GoHug Welcome Home by Pramy" event at Thonglor Animal Hospital. Tu explained that she and Win simply have a casual, friendly relationship and frequently find themselves together because they work on projects together. She revealed that they were invited to grab lunch on a day when both had free time, and that her friend O't (who is close to both of them) would typically join their outings but is currently in Korea, leaving her to face teasing from friends alone.

Tu expressed that while the constant speculation does make her a bit cautious about being seen with people, she and Win are aware of their sibling-like bond and aren't overly concerned about what others think. She humorously noted that she and Win actually tease each other back when either captures attention with someone else.

During the interview, Tu also discussed her love for dogs and shared details about her two pet dogs: "Tee," a 10-year-old Jack Russell she's had since high school, and "Tao," a much younger rescue dog. She explained that she intentionally named them with the "Ta" prefix to match her own name, creating a family identity. Tu credited her spacious home environment for keeping her dogs healthy and happy, as they have plenty of room to run, dig, and play. Her father helps manage their regular feeding schedule.

Chinese Programmer Arrested for Hacking Major Game Developer, Stealing Source Code to Create Counterfeit Games Worth 9 Million Baht

Chinese programmer arrested in Bangkok for hacking a major game developer's database and creating counterfeit games that caused 9 million baht in intellectual property damage.

7 May Khaosod

On May 7, 2025, Thai police arrested Mr. Wang (known as Mr.Wang), a 34-year-old Chinese national, in a high-rise building in the Sukhumvit area of Bangkok's Watthana District. Wang is prohibited from entry into Thailand under immigration law and is considered a threat to public security. He is also wanted by Chinese authorities.

The arrest followed intelligence shared by the Mekong-Lancang Law Enforcement Cooperation Center (LMLECC) with Thailand's anti-transnational crime unit. Wang is accused by Chinese authorities of unauthorized computer data access.

Investigation revealed that Wang, a skilled Chinese programmer, hacked into a major gaming company's database to steal source code and system architecture. He then developed counterfeit games closely resembling the originals. Wang established shell companies with online payment systems to fraudulently collect money from unsuspecting players by undercutting item prices to attract customers. The intellectual property damage to the legitimate game developer exceeded 18 million yuan, approximately 9 million baht.

Wang had entered Thailand posing as a tourist and rented a luxury condominium in Bangkok. After authorities tracked and arrested him, he was initially stripped of residency rights. He is now being held at Immigration Police Division 3 pending deportation to China and further legal proceedings.
