On July 8, 2569, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Cooperatives Chai Wachrayong revealed that discussions were held with key stakeholders including Sarawutti Nuengchamnong, Secretary to the Minister of Agriculture; veterinarian Somchuan Rattanmanglananth, Director-General of the Department of Livestock; the National Pig Breeders Association; the Thai Swine Farm Veterinary Control Association; and the animal medicine business association regarding solutions to Thailand's pork industry challenges.

Two main initiatives were discussed: First, establishing a fair livestock product price floor, following a proposal from Somsak Thepsutin, chairman of the ministerial policy committee, submitted on June 18, 2569. This aims to set a fair live-weight pork price at farm gates to ensure stability for all farm sizes and prevent losses for producers.

Second, establishing a fair pricing structure for animal feed raw materials, particularly animal corn and soybean meal, the main feed ingredients, to ensure equitable pricing without burdening the livestock sector.

The meeting also addressed foot-and-mouth disease (FMD) SAT 1 virus outbreak concerns, which spreads among cloven-hoofed animals such as cattle, buffalo, goats, sheep, and pigs through infected animal movement along Thailand's borders. Comprehensive prevention and control measures are being implemented, with the Department of Livestock enhancing surveillance, prevention, control, disease eradication efforts, and diagnostic preparedness to prevent domestic spread.

SM Entertainment officially announced that Winwin, also known as Dong Si Cheng, has ended his contract with the agency and will step down as a member of NCT after 10 years of collaboration. The agreement takes effect on July 9, 2025, following amicable communication and consultation between both parties. From the contract termination date onward, all of Winwin's entertainment work will be managed exclusively by his own studio.

On July 8, 2025, cyber police under the command of Lieutenant General Surpol Prembut, head of the Cyber Crime Investigation Bureau, ordered the arrest of Ms. Ploy Nam Petch, 24, from Khon Kaen province. Officers seized 112 electronic cigarettes of various brands from her residence. Police investigation found that she had been illegally selling e-cigarettes to the general public and students from her rented room in Tambon Sila, Muang district, Khon Kaen, located near a well-known university. During questioning, she admitted to selling e-cigarettes for eight months, sourcing them from Southern Thailand through the LINE application and reselling them at a 50-baht profit per unit through the same platform. Her customer base consisted primarily of students, teenagers, and local residents. She faces charges under laws regarding concealment, sale, transport, purchase, or receipt of goods known to be untaxed, restricted, or prohibited items that bypassed customs, or were imported while evading duties.

On July 8, 2568, the National Anti-Corruption Commission announced it has elevated the local government examination corruption case to special case status. The investigation targets the director-general of the Department of Local Administration, intermediaries, and test-takers who purchased scores. The NACC has gathered sufficient evidence that officials manipulated exam scores and collected money from applicants in exchange for helping them pass the 2568 civil service recruitment examination.

NAAC Secretary-General Surpong Intrathaweun stated that investigators have compiled evidence indicating the department's director-general and associates fraudulently altered exam scores and demanded payments from candidates. The case has been designated a special case due to its national importance and widespread impact.

The NACC committee approved establishing a special investigation committee under the Anti-Corruption Act to examine four groups: senior officials at the Department of Local Administration; state officials involved in exam administration; non-state individuals including those who altered answer sheets, collected bribes, and received score modifications; and any other involved parties.

The NACC will coordinate with the Royal Thai Police and the Department of Special Investigation (DSI) to assist in the inquiry. The investigation will pursue all persons involved in the fraudulent examination scheme.
