PROXIE Celebrates 4th Anniversary with Heartwarming Fan Meet at Thunder Dome, Gifts Special Song from Fan Club

Thai boy band PROXIE celebrated their 4th anniversary with a special fan meeting at Thunder Dome in Bangkok, featuring a unique collaboration where fans' handwritten postcards were transformed into a new song called "She is the Reason (Smile)." The event brought together the six-member group and their growing fanbase in a celebration of their journey together over four years, with the band noting how they've matured alongside their fans.

2 May Khaosod

PROXIE celebrated their 4th anniversary with a touching fan meet at Thunder Dome, featuring a special song composed from fan postcards and marking their growth alongside their dedicated user community. The six-member group—Shokun-Pawarish, Victor-Vorameth, Kim-Pannathon, Gun-Ratchanon, Henry-Oscar, and Kor-Wannapirojn—created memorable moments during the "4th PROXIEversary's Celebration Fan Meeting '404 Found You'" at Thunder Dome in Muang Thong Thani, surrounded by warm and intimate atmosphere.

Before the event, the members shared what made this 4th anniversary milestone special. Gun expressed excitement about returning to Thunder Dome, recalling their first concert there as PROXIE and feeling like coming back home. Kim emphasized how their fan family had grown significantly over four years, thanking all supporters and parents who made PROXIE's existence possible today. He noted the expanded scale of this year's event, featuring special performances at the larger venue.

The event's theme and special song emerged from a unique fan collaboration project. Kor explained that this year's anniversary celebration began with fan club members sending postcards with messages, which the band then transformed into lyrics for a new song called "She is the Reason (Smile)." This concept extended to a Siam Center exhibition and culminated in today's fan meeting. Shokun clarified that this special single came from fans submitting postcards, with their messages becoming the song's lyrics.

What made this collaboration particularly moving was the reversal from previous years—while PROXIE composed for fans last year, this year fans composed for the band. Kor shared that many fans were thrilled to see their own handwriting featured on the song cover, making the track a genuine connection between PROXIE and their fanbase. Kim humorously revealed they received 120,000 postcards, so many that Thai postal services reportedly slowed down due to the volume of PROXIE fan mail.

The members reflected on their growth journey, with Shokun noting that from their debut through year four, they've matured alongside their fans—many of whom were in secondary school initially and are now in their third or fourth year of university. This parallel growth created a unique bond between the group and their community.

When asked if tears might flow during today's event, Kim predicted happy tears of joy, as they came to spread happiness and fun. He jokingly suggested Victor, the quieter member, might be the one getting emotional. The members playfully bantered about their dynamics, with Kor recalling Victor's brief speech at a previous concert that his father later praised, and recent inside jokes about Henry gifting Gun a Nintendo Switch after recently receiving his first salary.

Mew Gee Pairyia Opens Up About Shattered Life After Divorce: Left With One House, Sold Off All Hermès Bags

Thai influencer Mew Gee Pairyia revealed she sacrificed her wealth, assets, and business to secure sole custody of her child following a devastating 10-year marriage breakdown. Left with only one house and forced to sell her designer belong

2 May Khaosod

Mew Gee Pairyia Phatthuengsukhwat, known for her confident persona, broke down during a livestream sharing the painful truth behind her divorce from a husband she'd been with for over 10 years. She revealed she sacrificed everything to gain sole custody of her child, now left with just one house and forced to sell off nearly all designer brand belongings, including her beloved Hermès bags, to survive. The emotional revelation shook many as she detailed over two years of hardship.

Mew explained that she went through a period of extreme difficulty lasting more than two years, beginning from when she ended her 10-year relationship. She faced intense online drama and made major life decisions, choosing to give up everything to secure the right to raise her child alone. From a life where she had everything, she's now left with only one house. She revealed having to sell off nearly all brand-name assets, including her favorite Hermès bags, to provide for her life with nothing left.

"I lost all confidence in myself," Mew shared. "Anything I did with anyone became a trending topic. I genuinely like women—I still do. I like both women and men, regardless of what happens. But the hardest part started when I divorced my husband. The damage was enormous. I couldn't sleep for a year, just nightmares constantly. I went through all of this alone without anyone knowing. No one knew. I couldn't eat or sleep, lost over 10 kilograms, and it was torture."

Beyond the personal suffering, Mew had to negotiate custody and property matters that were anything but graceful. "The settlement was messy, chaotic, and disastrous," she explained. "I bore all the criticism alone while the other party stayed silent. To secure sole custody of my child, I had to give up so much. I was left with nothing and had to start completely from scratch. I only kept one house. My car was gone, and I had to buy a new one because I had no money. I truly had to rebuild everything from zero."

Despite agreeing on child custody terms, those agreements weren't honored. "I don't want to go into details, but securing my child's custody required sacrificing numerous things," she said. "The shop I had worked hard on was eventually given to the other party just to wrap everything up and avoid further problems. Sometimes I can't even bear to look at it—it breaks my heart. It's been the worst period of my life."

Even after the settlement, online criticism continued relentlessly. "I receive constant comments and people attacking me regularly. I understand everyone has their own perspective, but it's incredibly difficult," she shared. "What I do most often is hug my child and cry, telling myself that as a mother, I can endure anything. The store is no longer mine now. I gave it away to bring closure. Some memories I still can't bear to face—they make me lose my mind. It's been the darkest chapter of my life."

Citizenship Row Threatens Dutch Football League with up to 133 Potential Match Replays

Dutch football's 2025-26 season faces potential chaos after a defender's citizenship change to Indonesian status triggered a dispute that could force up to 133 match replays if courts rule against the player's original club.

2 May Khaosod

The Dutch Eredivisie football league faces the possibility of up to 133 matches being replayed following a citizenship status dispute involving a player who became a non-EU footballer.

The controversy began with Dean James, a defender for Go Ahead Eagles who was born in the Netherlands but decided to represent the Indonesian national team, acquiring Indonesian citizenship as of March 2026. Under Dutch law, dual nationality is not permitted.

Non-EU players working in the Dutch league must have proper work permits and meet minimum salary requirements. James potentially lost his Dutch citizenship and became a non-EU player retroactively.

On March 15, Go Ahead Eagles defeated NAC Breda 6-0 in a home match with James playing. Breda subsequently filed a complaint with the Royal Dutch Football Association requesting the result be nullified and the match replayed. The association rejected the claim, arguing that James and Go Ahead Eagles were unaware of the automatic legal consequences. However, Breda did not accept this decision and escalated the case to court, with a ruling expected on May 4.

International reports indicate that if the court rules in Breda's favor, it could set a precedent for other clubs to file similar complaints. Currently, 11 other players at 8 different clubs face the same legal status as James.

If multiple clubs pursue complaints, up to 133 replay matches could be required, potentially making it impossible to properly conclude the 2025-26 season or even necessitating the annulment of all results from this season.

Lucky Sugarcane Vendor Wins 10 Lottery Tickets, Distributes Free Juice to Villagers at Temple

A sugarcane vendor in Chachoengsao Province won 20,000 baht in the lottery and celebrated by distributing free sugarcane juice to villagers at a temple merit-making ceremony on May 2.

2 May Khaosod

On May 2, 2025, at 5:00 PM at the chapel of Luang Pho Yai Temple in Wat Huai Soop, Namatum District, Panasnikhom, Chachoengsao Province, over 20 villagers won lottery prizes with the numbers 43 and 065, each holding 10 tickets. They came to make merit offerings at the temple, which had over 30,000 firecrackers lit in celebration, with lottery tickets densely packed in everyone's hands.

When interviewed, 46-year-old sugarcane vendor Amorn revealed that he had previously come to make merit and seek blessings and good fortune from Luang Pho Yai. He then drew the number 43 from a ping-pong ball lottery, purchased one set of 10 tickets, and won approximately 20,000 baht when that number was drawn today. He brought firecrackers to make offerings to Luang Pho Yai in gratitude.

Another lucky winner, 60-year-old Noi, won 10 tickets with the number 065 (last three digits) and 10 more with 43 (last two digits), receiving approximately 50,000 baht. She revealed that she came to make merit, and a temple monk gave her an incense stick number, which she lit and used to request the lucky number 065. She purchased tickets with this number and won both the three-digit and two-digit endings with 10 tickets each, coming to make offerings with Luang Pho Yai.

Several other villagers also won prizes with three-digit front numbers and two-digit endings, with 2-5 tickets each.

Amorn then lit firecrackers and drew additional numbers 573, 64, 781, and 30. He also distributed all remaining sugarcane juice from his vehicle to villagers who came to make merit and offerings at Luang Pho Yai's chapel, emptying his entire stock. He announced plans to use the numbers drawn today to try his luck in the lottery drawing on May 16, 2025.

Disney Issues Lifetime Ban After Visitor Attacks Employee During Character Meet-and-Greet

A man was arrested and permanently banned from Walt Disney World after attacking a staff member during a character meet-and-greet at Epcot, escalating from his repeated attempts to cut the photo line with his family.

2 May Khaosod

What started as a family outing ended badly when Walt Disney World Resort issued a lifetime ban to a visitor after he attacked an employee during a character meet-and-greet queue. On May 2, foreign media reported that a man was arrested and issued a permanent ban from the theme park following his assault on staff during the character photo experience. Diego Rodriguez was taken into custody on battery charges after the incident at Epcot in Walt Disney World Resort, Florida, while waiting in line to photograph the character Mirabel from the film Encanto with his wife and child. Witnesses reported that Rodriguez repeatedly attempted to cut in line, frustrated by the long wait despite warnings from staff. When the child with him tried to run up to the performer but was stopped, tensions escalated. When his female companion requested an autograph from the character but was told that time slot was for photos only, she swatted the staff member with her autograph book. Rodriguez then grabbed the employee's arm, shook him, and shouted at both the performer and staff: "Why can other people take photos but we can't?" Disney took decisive action with a lifetime ban. Police immediately arrested Rodriguez and issued an order prohibiting him from entering any Disney parks for life. This incident reflects Disney's strict policies prioritizing employee safety, with clear prohibitions on physical and verbal violence. Violators may be immediately removed without refund and potentially banned permanently from the premises. The case also highlights the challenges large theme parks face in managing crowds, especially at popular attractions like character meet-and-greets with long queues. Disney emphasized that a magical experience is only possible when all guests respect the rules and treat each other with courtesy.

2 May Khaosod

Spiritual influencer Ajarn Beer has cleared up all the drama surrounding alleged secret dating with actress Khwan Usamanee and addressed online critics questioning whether he still follows the Eight Precepts, claiming he only livestreams to sell products and doesn't teach Dharma anymore. He recounted his childhood spent around corpses and near-death experiences before explaining his transformation into a well-known spiritual influencer, discussing his journey on the "Kwai Saep Show" on One31 with hosts DJ Phut Phuttichai and Benz Porchita.

When asked directly about dating Khwan Usamanee, Ajarn Beer responded dismissively: "Do people really want to know? Why do you care so much about village gossip?" Regarding perceived chemistry during their livestreams together, he explained: "I'm close with everyone. When people go live with me, they each have their own style. I joke around and chat fun with everyone, so I'm confused how there's drama with Khwan. She talks trash a lot, really trash talks a ton." He maintained they are not dating, claiming they only met less than two months ago when introduced through a mutual connection.

When pressed further about denying the relationship, Ajarn Beer became defensive: "How many times do I have to tell you? We're not dating." Regarding online speculation about supernatural forces pushing them together, he joked: "Nobody's pushing anything. Spirits can't push it down. I dodge it all the time."

Ajarn Beer dismissed the possibility that Khwan Usamanee would be interested in him, making disparaging comments about her appearance and intelligence. He noted that Khwan has been publicly seeking a husband and even opened a livestream asking for a boyfriend based on a television drama character. Regarding their frequent livestreams together, he attributed it to people enjoying her clueless and confused demeanor.

Reflecting on their history at Bangkok University, Ajarn Beer mentioned they never actually talked much as upperclassman and lowerclasswoman, and he used to gossip about her distinctive style, including her habit of wearing the same red shoes throughout her university years.
