The company has launched special campaigns targeting night owls, including students working on assignments, night shift workers, sports fans, gamers, and party enthusiasts, expanding into new customer segments.
Friday and Saturday are described as peak nights with the highest ride requests between 9 PM and midnight. Weekend night ride-hailing usage is 20% higher than weekdays, with nearly half of all nighttime users active during the 9 PM to midnight prime time window. This covers both rides home after work and visits to nighttime entertainment venues.
GrabDriveYourCar, the professional private driver service, remains popular among party-goers seeking safe, responsible alternatives to drunk driving. The service is particularly popular after midnight in major areas like Sukhumvit, Thong Lo-Ekkamai, and along the Ekkamai-Ram Intra expressway, which have numerous restaurants, bars, and entertainment venues.
Foreign tourists, particularly from China, America, and the UK, also frequently use Grab for late-night rides. Beyond airport transfers, tourists use the service to explore nightlife in walking street areas and night markets such as Walking Street Pattaya, Walking Street Bangkok, and Chiang Mai Night Bazaar.
Regarding late-night food delivery, over 70% of orders are placed between 9 PM and midnight from diverse groups including students, office workers, and lifestyle-specific groups like party enthusiasts, sports fans, series enthusiasts, and gamers.
