Fay Phattharit: Business Booming, Adjusts Rates Fairly, Makes Fans Happy with New Car and Driver

Young Thai actor Fay Phattharit discusses his thriving career and new relationship with non-industry girlfriend Earn Arisa, revealing he recently hired a driver and opened a new office while keeping spending modest. Despite growing his company to 12 employees, Fay prefers modest growth and focuses on work quality rather than flashy investments. He emphasized adjusting his appearance fees fairly based on his current position and balancing his increasingly busy schedule with support from his partner.

28 Apr Khaosod

This year is turning out great both professionally and romantically for young actor Fay Phattharit Eaksaengkul. Recently, he appeared at Chang Cold Brew Cool Club's announcement of their new "Chill Everyday – Afterwork" campaign communication strategy, where he updated fans on his new office space and his relationship with non-industry girlfriend Earn Arisa, which became public earlier this year.

When asked if his office looked luxurious, Fay downplayed it: "My office isn't fancy at all. Nothing fancy." Clarifying further, he explained: "I'd say it's just decent. I have to thank clients who still reach out and give me opportunities. But our office really isn't luxurious—we don't use expensive things at all."

Regarding the office budget, Fay revealed: "I asked for free items and sponsorships only, because we don't have the money. It was actually a house, and we just fixed up the deteriorated parts to make it functional again. Nothing fancy about it."

He emphasized he's not trying to spend extravagantly: "I focus more on the quality of work that comes out. I only spend on what's necessary—equipment, office space—and importantly, good chairs for the employees. Those are essential."

Fay's team has grown to 12 employees, which he considers significant growth. However, he prefers to keep the company compact rather than expanding rapidly: "I want it to stay compact. I don't want it to get too big because then I can't manage everything properly. If there's potential in the future, we might expand, but I prefer growing gradually. I'm worried that if we grow too fast, things might spiral out of control."

When asked if industry friends have invested or joined, he clarified: "No, we just work together normally. No one has asked to co-invest or anything extra. We do our own thing."

On his new vehicle, Fay explained: "I bought the new car because I couldn't handle driving myself anymore. In a day, I work at 4-5 different locations. Having a new car and a driver saves me a lot of time and stress on the road. Driving myself was stressful."

With the new arrangement, his work has become smoother: "It's better. I get more rest time in the car and can even hold meetings while driving."

Regarding whether this is a reward for his hard work, Fay said: "It's both a reward and a tool to make my work more efficient. Before, when people called about work while I was driving, I couldn't focus. Now I can work all the time."

He clarified the vehicle won't replace his old jeep for adventure trips: "This is a van, so I can't take it on rough trips. For those, I'll still use my old jeep."

Fay acknowledged his life has changed significantly: "It's changed quite a bit. Opportunities come with work and stress. I need to manage it well because there's a lot more work now."

On whether he's raised his rates with his increased prominence, Fay said: "I think it's appropriate. I haven't bumped it sky-high. I'm keeping it suitable to where I am right now."

Asked if his life feels complete with both career and romance, he replied thoughtfully: "It's a good angle that the media sees. But people aren't good in every aspect. There are always tough and bad moments—that's normal."

When stressed, he gets support from his girlfriend: "We talk normally. She helps me keep balanced so I'm not stressed alone. She shares the burden and listens when I need to vent."

On whether his girlfriend has the same chill lifestyle, Fay said: "Yes, she's pretty chill. She's not the needy type at all."

Asked if he's taken her on any of his rough adventure trips, he replied: "Not yet. I've tried inviting her, but it seems like it might be too much for her. I don't want to put her through that. There are limits.

Priṣṭh Urges Parliament Speaker Not to Dismiss NACC Investigation Request in Saksayam Case, Points Out Two Submission Routes

Opposition lawmakers are pursuing a petition through two parallel routes to investigate alleged National Anti-Corruption Commission misconduct in the Saksayam Chidchob stock manipulation case, after the NACC dismissed the initial complaint. Coalition coordinator Priṣṭh Wachrasindhu is urging Parliament Speaker Sompon to establish clear guidelines for evaluating the petition and avoid dismissing it as former Speaker Wannasai previously did. The opposition aims to gather 140 parliamentary signatures or 20,000 public signatures to refer the investigation to the Supreme Court.

28 Apr Khaosod

At 9:45 AM on April 28, 2025, at Parliament, Priṣṭh Wachrasindhu, opposition coalition coordinator and Phak Prachasanchai representative, discussed collecting parliamentary signatures to submit to the Supreme Court for establishing an NACC investigation committee regarding alleged misconduct in the Saksayam Chidchob case involving stock manipulation. He stated this is a public communication matter and will brief other opposition parties. After the NACC dismissed Saksayam's case, the opposition views the NACC statement as potentially a whitewashing effort, given clear evidence of stock involvement, necessitating use of Constitutional Article 236 to request the parliamentary speaker refer the matter to the Supreme Court for investigating NACC officials for misconduct.

Priṣṭh explained two signature submission channels: parliament members requiring 140 signatures (the Democratic Party has 119), supplemented by other opposition parties; and senators, with over 10 already interested. A third route involves 20,000 public signatures, and he called for public participation from those viewing the NACC resolution as misconduct.

"Dual parallel submission pathways would address concerns that the parliamentary speaker might dismiss the complaint, as former Speaker Wannasai did before the 120-day dissolution regarding NACC officials," Priṣṭh stated.

He noted different parties' positions would emerge during today's opposition coalition meeting, with some potentially needing internal party discussions before committing. When asked whether pre-negotiations with the speaker were necessary, Priṣṭh responded such decisions shouldn't depend on backroom talks. Constitutionally, parliamentarians cannot directly submit to the Supreme Court—they must go through the speaker, who exercises discretion.

Former Speaker Wannasai previously dismissed an NACC investigation petition regarding a watch case involving former Deputy Prime Minister Prawit Wongsuwan, using discretion without explanation before the 120-day dissolution. Concerns also include timeframe issues, as Wannasai's case took 10 months before dismissal.

Priṣṭh called on Speaker Sompon to clarify evaluation criteria for both submission systems: whether decisions would be based on which party the case involves, or clear timeframes not exceeding specific days or months.

Authorities Raid Fuel Storage and Pipeline Companies Across 3 Provinces at 7 Key Locations Following Irregularities in Fuel Reporting

Thai authorities raided seven fuel storage and pipeline facilities across three provinces on April 28 after discovering irregularities in inventory reports suggesting possible hoarding for profit amid recent supply shortages.

28 Apr Khaosod

At 8:30 AM on April 28, 2025, the Royal Thai Police Office, led by Lt. Gen. Nophsit Phoolsawat, launched a coordinated operation involving officers from the Special Cases Investigation Department (DSI), Department of Energy Business, Saraburi provincial commerce, tax, and energy officials, along with forensic teams, to inspect fuel operators and address supply shortages. The operation targeted fuel storage facilities across three provinces—Khon Kaen, Samut Sakhon, and Saraburi—at seven critical locations including pipeline transport companies, retail fuel operators, fuel storage management divisions, and storage facilities serving the northeastern region's pipeline distribution network. Authorities discovered irregularities in fuel inventory reports that may indicate hoarding for profit.

Reporters followed the operation to one of seven locations in Sai Yai district, Saraburi, where a pipeline transport company provided full cooperation. Company representatives allowed the inspection team to proceed inside immediately, though media were restricted from entering the office areas. Initial inquiries revealed the pipeline company operates as a contractor for 4-5 major oil companies that own the fuel being transported. Beyond pipeline transport, the facility also handles distribution via oil tanker trucks to gas stations.

Officials requested to examine purchase orders, daily fuel delivery records, daily fuel inventory levels, truck registrations entering the facility to verify entry and exit traffic, transport documentation, CCTV footage, pipeline storage diagrams, and electricity meter data from throughout March, from the Middle East conflict onset through the March 20-25 fuel shortage crisis.

This inspection follows government policy to investigate all 92 fuel storage facilities nationwide. One truck driver from a small gas station in Nakhon Ratchasima reported hauling 32,000 liters of fuel from the facility, requiring approximately four hours of travel, with visits scheduled by the company as needed. Another driver from a Saraburi area station revealed nearly daily 40,000-liter pickups, though during the shortage period, allocations were reduced to 30,000 liters daily.

Ride-Hailing Drivers Protest at Government House, Demand Fair App Regulation and Measures to Combat Fuel Crisis

Five ride-hailing driver associations protested at Government House, demanding stricter regulation of ride-hailing apps and government action to address rising fuel costs affecting their livelihoods. The groups submitted six key demands including development of a state-run transportation app, reform of taxi regulations, and government authority to set fair fares. Deputy Transport Minister Siripong Angkaskulkiarti received the petition and discussed the drivers' concerns with relevant agencies.

28 Apr Khaosod

On April 28, 2026, representatives from five ride-hailing driver associations gathered at Government House to submit a petition to the Prime Minister demanding urgent action on legal reforms and cost-of-living issues affecting their profession. The coalition, led by Vorapon Gaemkhunthod, included the Public Taxi Driver Professional Association, Lukkled Team Public Ride-Hailing Association, Thailand Motorcycle Taxi Riders Association, EV Electric Motorcycle Taxi Riders Association, and Thailand Riders Association. The groups emphasized that taxi drivers, motorcycle taxi riders, tuk-tuk operators, and minibus drivers face severe hardship from continuously rising fuel prices, which erode their income and threaten their survival. The associations presented six major demands to the government: strict and fair enforcement of digital platform laws, penalties against non-compliant ride-hailing apps operating in Thailand, promotion of a state-developed public ride-hailing application, and reforms to taxi laws and regulations to reduce operational costs and create better business opportunities. They also proposed extending taxi vehicle lifespan from the current 9-year limit to 12 years, and up to 15 years for electric taxis, while requesting government authority to set appropriate fares in Bangkok and other provinces reflecting current economic conditions. Deputy Transport Minister Siripong Angkaskulkiarti emerged to receive the petition and held discussions with the driver associations and relevant government agencies.

Buriram Health Officials Warn Men: Online Male Enhancement Products Could Be Deadly Without Proper Documentation

Buriram Provincial Health authorities have issued a warning about the dangers of purchasing male enhancement supplements online, noting that many products lack proper documentation, feature false claims, and may cause health harm. The health office is launching a radio campaign to educate consumers and encourage them to verify products through official health department channels before purchasing. Officials stress that consumers should research products carefully as some supplements may prove ineffective or potentially dangerous despite being promoted widely on online platforms.

28 Apr Khaosod

The Buriram Provincial Health Office is concerned about online purchases of male enhancement supplements, noting that some products not only fail to deliver results but may also pose serious health risks. Officials advise consumers to research before buying and offer guidance through public health channels. On April 28, 2026, Dr. Yutthana Suriya, Provincial Health Officer of Buriram, announced this warning following a media seminar with provincial radio stations, emphasizing the need for media outlets to educate the public about proper health care and raise awareness about seasonal epidemics. The health office is warning consumers about purchasing supplements sold online, particularly male enhancement products, which are now abundant in the market. Many claim to cure all diseases, feature exaggerated advertising, and lack Thai-language labels—creating serious consumer risks. People spend money on these products expecting benefits but receive nothing or sometimes suffer bodily harm instead. To address this issue, the provincial health office is using radio broadcasts throughout Buriram to discourage online purchases and direct people to seek verified information through the provincial health office website.

Supujai Clarifies Six Points on Durian Live-Commerce Drama, Forecasts 33% Higher Yield This Year

Deputy Prime Minister Suphajee Suthumpun clarified the government's durian live-commerce initiative in response to recent controversy, explaining that the Commerce Ministry expects a 33% increase in durian production this year. The live-commerce program, conducted with multiple influencers, is designed to rapidly distribute surplus production to both domestic and international markets. The Minister emphasized that no single influencer receives preferential support and that current durian prices remain at healthy levels ranging from 70-150 baht per kilogram depending on grade.

28 Apr Khaosod

On April 28, 2025, Deputy Prime Minister and Commerce Minister Suphajee Suthumpun posted clarifications on Facebook regarding the live-commerce durian sales controversy, providing six key points.

The Ministry forecasts durian production will be 33% higher than last year, prompting aggressive marketing plans for both domestic and international markets to prevent surplus inventory.

Live commerce is one marketing channel that enables rapid and wide product distribution. The Ministry has partnered with multiple influencers domestically and internationally, each employing different marketing methods, with no preferential ministry support for any particular influencer.

Regarding influencer Pimmy Pie, she intends to assist farmers with voluntary buyer-seller agreements, and her sales techniques and promotions may have specific conditions or timeframes.

On concerns about product quality discrepancies, the Minister noted public enthusiasm is so strong that the products will be closely watched, and regulatory authorities are already monitoring closely.

Current durian prices remain healthy: export-grade AB ranges from 135-150 baht per kilogram, grade C from 90-100 baht, grade D from 70-80 baht, and mixed grades from 125-130 baht per kilogram, varying by product quality.

The collaboration with influencers aims to manage the upcoming surplus production and deliver yields to consumers swiftly.
