Deputy PM Pipat Says No Toll Reduction Policy Yet, Reiterates Land Bridge Field Survey Planned for May with Only Consultation Process, No Public Hearing At 9:30 a.m. on April 27, 2569, at Government House, Deputy Prime Minister and Transport Minister Pipat Ratchakitprakarn addressed the proposed policy to reduce Expressway Authority of Thailand (EXAT) tolls to no more than 50 baht across all routes, stating no action is currently being taken and nothing concrete exists. He then questioned media representatives about where they obtained their information, claiming he had no knowledge of such reports. When asked about reports of the Prime Minister calling an economic team meeting, Pipat denied any knowledge. Regarding field investigations of the land bridge project in southern Thailand scheduled for May, Pipat stated the consultation methodology must first be discussed and emphasized that no public hearing has been scheduled.
