Kasetsart University Joins OCSC to Launch 'Royal Initiative Developer Program 13' Curriculum to Build 'Multiplier' Leaders
Kasetsart University and the Office of the Civil Service Commission launched a new curriculum to train 60 mid-level administrators as leaders in sustainable development based on royal initiatives and sufficiency economy philosophy.
Kasetsart University partners with the Office of the Civil Service Commission (OCSC) to launch the 'Royal Initiative Developer Program 13' curriculum aimed at developing 'multiplier' leaders to drive sustainable development based on royal initiatives and the philosophy of sufficiency economy. On May 20, 2026, Associate Professor Nuchnaht Mangkang, Vice President for Finance and Special Activities at Kasetsart University, represented the university in welcoming trainees at the opening ceremony of the Royal Initiative Developer Program (RIDP) Batch 13 for fiscal year 2569 at the Hanuman 1 Conference Room of OCSC. OCSC Secretary-General Suphorn Trinarintr chaired the opening ceremony, with 60 mid-level administrators possessing knowledge, expertise, and experience in royal initiative development participating from 41 organizations spanning both government and private sectors, with diverse representation across policy-level agencies and field-level operational units. The Royal Initiative Developer Program curriculum is considered a national strategic curriculum for mid-level administrators from government, state enterprises, and the private sector, designed to develop OCSC 'multiplier' personnel aligned with the office's four-year human resource development plan (2567-2570). The program aims to honor the Thai monarchy as a model for national development while building knowledge, understanding, attitudes, and competencies necessary for organizational leaders to manage strategically for the implementation of royal initiative-based development and the philosophy of sufficiency economy established by His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej to improve the lives and livelihoods of Thai citizens. OCSC partnered with the Faculty of Economics at Kasetsart University, led by Associate Professor Wisit Limsobunchay (Vice President for Asset Management), to develop the curriculum to create 'OCSC multiplier personnel'—a new generation of leaders with deep understanding of sufficiency economy philosophy who integrate academic knowledge with practical field experience at royal initiative projects nationwide, enabling them to scale and drive community and national sustainable prosperity and stability in alignment with the country's human resource development plan. Kasetsart University, as an academic network partner and 'science of the nation,' provided expert faculty, learning processes, and study sites to enable all trainees to apply their knowledge for public benefit.
