On April 26, special task force officers from Aranyaprathet, working with Company 1206 Rangers from the 12th Ranger Battalion, conducted border patrol operations in Aranyaprathet District, Sa Kaeo Province to intercept illegal goods smuggling.

During their patrol, officers spotted two suspects carrying large gray boxes crossing the border into Thai territory near Khlong Kan boundary canal (also known as Khlong Nam Sai), approximately 10 meters from the border between checkpoints 48-49 at Ban Noen Samborun, Moo 12, Khlong Nam Sai Subdistrict, Aranyaprathet District. When the men noticed the officers, they abandoned the boxes and fled back across the border into Cambodia.

Upon inspection, the boxes contained Alprazolam tablets—a controlled psychotropic substance known among teenagers as 'yaba.' Officers found 480 boxes of Axprazol brand (0.5 milligrams) and 480 boxes of Asolan brand of the same strength, totaling 960 boxes with 100 tablets per box, equaling 96,000 pills in total.

This drug is commonly abused and misused among young people. Officers seized all the medications and handed them over to the Aranyaprathet Customs Department for legal proceedings.

At 1:00 PM on April 26, 2569, Deputy Superintendent Sathaporn Sawadee of Muang Udon Thani Police Station received a report from Radio Center 191 about a young woman seeking help after ordering food through an app. When the delivery rider arrived with the food, he refused to leave and insisted on going up to her room to see her cat, causing her to fear for her safety. The incident occurred at a three-story dormitory in Udon Thani municipality. Police found Ms. A (pseudonym), a 24-year-old nurse at a state hospital in Udon Thani province, in a state of shock and fear. CCTV footage and chat messages were collected as evidence.

When the delivery rider, identified later as Theeraphat (surname withheld), learned that the nurse had called police, he fled on his motorcycle. Police contacted him by phone asking him to return for questioning about his intentions in wanting to visit the room, but he claimed he was unavailable.

During the initial investigation, the nurse explained that she had ordered dried Thai noodles for 105 baht around noon through the app and paid via banking app. She instructed the rider to leave the food at the stairs below the dormitory. The rider then messaged asking for her Line ID, saying he wanted to chat. She asked what he needed it for, and he said he wanted to talk. She then asked for his phone number instead.

The rider provided his number, but when she didn't respond, he sent another message saying he was still at the dormitory and asked which room he should deliver to, saying he wanted to see the cat in her room. Since the nurse doesn't own a cat, she replied that her boyfriend would come down to get the food and that he should leave. The rider responded with an unclear message, prompting her to go downstairs where she saw him still sitting on his motorcycle. Frightened, she immediately ran back upstairs and called police for help.

The nurse said she was afraid to eat the food, worried that something might have been put in it. She had never seen this rider before and it was his first delivery to her. She plans to file a formal complaint after her shift ends and wants police to question the rider about his intentions. CCTV and chat messages will serve as evidence for her safety and peace of mind.

A severe thunderstorm with intense wind gusts struck multiple areas in Mae Jai District, Phayao Province on April 26, causing extensive damage across several subdistricts. The Jae Joo Market, an important community commercial center, and Ban Leai Subdistrict were hit hardest. The powerful winds scattered vendor booths, canvas tents, and temporary structures throughout the market, damaging numerous goods as merchants scrambled to collect their belongings amid heavy downpour.

Multiple large trees were uprooted and fell across main roads and village pathways, blocking traffic. Authorities mobilized machinery to cut branches and clear roadways for normal passage. Many homes across several villages also sustained damage, with roofs blown off. Subdistrict administration officials, along with Mae Jai District officials, village headmen, and related agencies, rushed to conduct detailed damage assessments to prepare relief data for affected residents according to government procedures and implement emergency repairs to prepare for potential additional rainfall.

The Thai Fencing Association held its 2568 annual general meeting at the Evergreen Room, Asia Airport Hotel in Lam Luk Ka District, Pathum Thani Province, with Dr. Pochan Aramwattananond, president of the association, presiding. However, Um must report for military service on May 1st at Don Mueang, leaving his grandmother with minimal care support. Nang Kaew suffers from pressure ulcers on her hips and back, and requires daily blood pressure and cholesterol medications. Her only financial support comes from Anan's wife, who sends 1,500 baht monthly for rent. Nang Kaew expressed her deepest wish to see her two sons before her time comes, saying she misses them terribly despite their years of abandonment. Um tearfully pleaded with his uncles to visit their mother at least once, as their grandmother has not seen them in many years. Um himself earns money as a laundry worker, receiving 1,500 baht monthly plus 200 baht weekly, which he uses to support his grandmother's care.
