The driver was notably well-dressed, leading the household to believe he might be an acquaintance, which caused them to allow him entry. Security camera footage later revealed the driver appeared to be taking photos or videos inside the home.

Ning emphasized that this incident raises critical questions about whether delivery drivers should have the right to request access to customer homes, whether photographing or filming inside a customer's residence violates company standards, and what privacy protection measures Grab has in place. She clarified that she is not seeking drama or to attack anyone, but rather seeking direct answers to these safety concerns.

When asked why her housekeeper allowed a stranger inside, Ning explained that the driver's polished appearance and friendly conversation made the staff believe he might be someone she knew. By the time Ning arrived home, she was informed by her secretary that a friend had delivered something, only to discover it was the Grab driver.

On May 12, 2026, at 9:00 AM, Nonthaburi Provincial Court scheduled a verdict hearing in a case brought by former well-known actress Tom Ratchaneekor (Laphasinant Phandamaneethanakar) against Lertsak Hospital and four other defendants, seeking 50 million baht in damages for alleged surgical malpractice that resulted in facial disfigurement. The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) is advancing the Chiang Mai Prototype project to elevate tourism products and services in Chiang Mai province to international sustainability standards. Ms. Oibhlap Sripirm, Director of Tourism Products at TAT, announced that the authority will organize a "Sustainable Tourism Route Design for Chiang Mai Province" workshop to gather input and foster collaboration among partner networks from all 18 districts of the province.

TAT aims to drive Thailand's tourism industry toward Sustainable Tourism Goals (STGs), strengthening the nation's competitive position as a sustainable destination across social, economic, cultural, and environmental dimensions. The authority will develop and add value to tourism products and services in the prototype area through a Sustainable Product Prototype process, while enhancing the quality and capabilities of businesses in the supply chain to meet both national and international sustainability standards.

Chiang Mai was selected for this prototype initiative due to its diverse tourism resources, distinctive Lanna identity, solid infrastructure, and regional connectivity. The province has been recognized by the UNESCO Creative Cities Network for its handicrafts and folk arts, and is developing into a Smart City through international partnerships.

TAT collaborates with partner networks including STGs STAR (Sustainable Tourism Acceleration Rating), the Thailand Tourism Awards, and CF-Hotels (Carbon Footprint Hotels) to establish international standards. The initiative focuses on creating sustainable tourism routes, raising awareness, and marketing them to attract quality-conscious travelers while expanding the prototype model into a new green destination for Thailand.

A 54-year-old man, known as Ruen or Mai (surname withheld), has been arrested for the sexual assault of a 70-year-old woman in Huai Yot District, Trang Province. Police executed arrest warrant No. 186/2569 issued on April 16, 2025, charging him with rape and indecent assault against a vulnerable person using force.

The assault occurred in March when the suspect knocked on the victim's door posing as a used goods buyer. After gaining her trust through conversation, he requested to use the bathroom. Once inside and realizing the victim was alone, he sexually assaulted her before fleeing.

The victim's family later reported the incident to Huai Yot Police Station. Following investigation, police identified the suspect and obtained a court arrest warrant. The suspect was found hiding in the area and apprehended on May 12.

During interrogation, the suspect confessed, claiming he lost control after seeing the elderly victim alone at home. He has been transferred to Huai Yot Police Station for further legal proceedings.
