Bhakapol Gamlaksana and his family donated 35 million baht to Chulalongkorn Hospital to support medical care for impoverished patients and establish a hematology clinic fund.
Bangkok, May 21, 2026 — Pakkapol Gamlaksana, Chief Operating Officer of Charoen Pokphand Group, joined by his mother Jiraphaa Gamlaksana and wife Nathaphan Luangviriya, has continued the spirit of sharing and social contribution by donating 35,087,992.29 baht to Chulalongkorn Hospital of the Thai Red Cross Society to support medical and patient care services. The donation was received by Associate Professor Dr. Nucha Jirakalpawasan, Vice Dean for Academic Affairs at Chulalongkorn University's Faculty of Medicine, and Associate Professor Dr. Gaviruch Tantivongse, Vice Dean for Physical Systems, on behalf of the hospital.
Chulalongkorn Hospital of the Thai Red Cross Society stands as a premier medical institution in Thailand and serves as a crucial resource for people of all walks of life. Each year, the hospital treats large numbers of low-income patients, as well as monks and novices from across the country. This support plays a vital role in easing the hospital's burden and strengthening its capacity to provide more efficient patient care.
The donation is divided into two main components: First, establishing the "Pakkapol Gamlaksana and Family" fund worth 30 million baht to assist low-income patients, including attendants of disabled monks and novices receiving treatment at Chulalongkorn Hospital, ensuring equitable access to medical care. Second, contributing 5,087,992.29 baht from a wedding celebration to support the Hematology Clinic in the Bhumisoril Mangclanusorn Building, to procure medical equipment, improve facilities, and enhance the quality of care for blood and hematological disorders, which continue to rise in prevalence.
This donation represents another powerful act of sharing that supports Chulalongkorn Hospital's important mission to strengthen Thailand's public health system and provide quality medical treatment accessible and timely to all patients, while alleviating suffering for the underprivileged. This aligns with the hospital's commitment to sustainably improve the quality of life and health of Thai people.
