Po Tek Tung Foundation Provides Transportation and Supplies for Prosthetic Limb Recipients
Po Tek Tung Foundation distributed 500-baht transportation allowances and supplies to 220 prosthetic limb recipients on May 22, supporting the 177th Mobile Royal Prosthetic Limb Project across Southern Thailand with a 186,000-baht budget.
On May 22, 2025, the Po Tek Tung Foundation, led by Ms. Duangchuta Tiyapatchanpongkul, acting head of the public welfare division, distributed transportation allowances of 500 baht per person along with supplies to prosthetic limb recipients and volunteer technicians participating in the 177th Mobile Royal Prosthetic Limb Project Unit under the foundation for Her Majesty Queen Srinagarindra. The event supported 220 people with a total operational budget of 186,000 baht.
The ceremony was presided over by Colonel Somngaml Mongkolasiri, Deputy Governor of Ubon Ratchathani Province, alongside Dr. Chanchhai Potchmanaviputh, Deputy Secretary-General of the prosthetic foundation, and Professor Dr. Niwes Nantchit, Secretary-General of the prosthetic foundation, who expressed gratitude to the prosthetic limb recipients. General Pot Empunthu, advisor to the Veterans Organizations Bureau, presented commemorative gifts to project supporters including Dr. Prachakpong Wannchorti, director of Triam Udomsuksa Pattanakarn School in Ubon Ratchathani, and representatives from various government and private agencies at Si Pathum 1 Conference Hall.
The Po Tek Tung Foundation has continuously supported the Mobile Royal Prosthetic Limb Project since its 165th implementation, covering 13 provinces with total contributions valued at no less than 5.3 million baht. Over more than 116 years, the foundation has expanded its programs widely, providing relief and improving quality of life regardless of race or religion, in pursuit of its mission to save lives, preserve lives, and create lives.
