Doctor Prawat Reveals Real Hurdle in Park Hang-seo Deal Lies with Coach's Wife

Park Hang-seo's wife was the real obstacle in negotiations to bring the South Korean coach to Phluang Kanchanaburi FC, according to the club chairman, who said she required lengthy discussions before approving the move to Thailand.

13h ago Khaosod

Dr. Prawat Kittharmagulnij, chairman of Phluang Kanchanaburi FC, has posted details behind the scenes of the Park Hang-seo deal, revealing that the real difficulty wasn't with the coach himself, but with his wife.

Phluang Kanchanaburi FC previously announced the signing of the renowned South Korean coach as their new head coach for the upcoming Thai League 2 season.

In his post, Dr. Prawat explained: "Convincing Coach Park wasn't easy. The hardest person to convince was his wife. She had many concerns about Park, so we had lengthy discussions before she felt confident. Everyone fears the coach, the coach fears his wife, and the chairman fears the madam—that's just how it is. Park's wife will be moving to Kanchanaburi as well, and the people there will take good care of both of them."

Park Hang-seo enjoyed considerable success during his five years coaching the Vietnamese national team. He led Vietnam's U-23 team to the AFC U-23 Championship runner-up finish in 2018, won gold at the Southeast Asian Games in 2019 and 2021, claimed the 2018 AFF Championship, finished fourth at the 2018 Asian Games, reached the final of the 2019 AFC Asian Cup, and qualified for the third round of 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifying.

Palace Protection Committee Slams Nattapon and Piyabutr, Demands Court Review of Decision Not to Order MPs to Cease Duties

A Palace Protection Committee has criticized Move Forward and Pheu Thai leaders for calling for the Privy Council's dissolution, arguing their statements undermine the monarchy and threaten democratic governance.

13h ago Khaosod

At 11:30 a.m. on May 26, 2569 at Parliament, General Yuthana Thaiplit, a senator and chair of the Special Committee for the Protection and Veneration of the Monarchy under the Senate, led the committee in expressing opposition to statements by Piyabutr Saengkanokkul, secretary-general of the Move Forward Party, who called for the dissolution of the Privy Council. This followed the emergence of photos showing nine Privy Councillors meeting with the Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation, accompanied by a Facebook post from Pheu Thai claiming the government acted improperly and violated democratic principles.

Meanwhile, Nattapon Rueangpanyawit, list-based MP and Pheu Thai Party leader and opposition leader in Parliament, made statements in the case noting that Prime Minister Anutthin Charnvirakul should not exert political pressure. Nattapon further claimed that the call to dissolve the Privy Council contradicts democratic governance principles.

According to the Constitution, Article 10 grants the King authority to appoint the Privy Council and the duty to advise the monarchy. Article 11 specifies that selection, appointment, and removal follow the King's discretion. Article 12 stipulates that Privy Councillors must not hold political positions, be civil servants, or royal civil servants. Councillors also represent the King in royal affairs and monitor development projects benefiting the public before reporting to the monarchy. The Privy Council represents an ancient tradition.

The committee characterized Pheu Thai and its leaders' conduct as dangerous to democratic governance, attempting to misrepresent the Privy Council's role with intent to destabilize the monarchy institution. The committee noted this continues a pattern from Move Forward Party's previous proposals to amend Article 112 of the Criminal Code, which the Constitutional Court ruled aimed to diminish and reduce protection of the monarchy, constituting undermining that could lead to overthrowing democratic government.

The committee therefore called for accountability and urged against attacking or inciting misunderstandings about the institution.

Police Colonel Chaturvej Saengphet, serving as vice chair of the committee, stated that such actions do not constitute normal criticism but rather attempts to undermine public confidence in the nation's pillars and to insinuate connections to people around the institution, allowing society to draw hidden implications. He questioned whether such conduct amounts to insulting the monarchy or represents an indirect attempt to evade Article 112 charges.

He emphasized the committee's concern that the misrepresentation of the Privy Council as interfering and issuing unlawful government orders aims to make the public reject the council, leading to calls for its dissolution—an overstep of the monarchy institution that clearly demonstrates intent affecting the King.

The committee called on independent organizations and relevant agencies to consider such conduct and take appropriate action within their authority.

"I am concerned that such conduct by Pheu Thai leaders may impact the consideration of the 44-MP case currently in the Supreme Court, and the court did not previously order them to cease duties. Moreover, the court imposed conditional orders prohibiting repeated actions," Chaturvej said.

Industry Ministry Showcases Industrial Estates Ready to Support Global Manufacturing Relocation, Positioning Thailand as Regional Tech and Clean Energy Hub

Thailand is positioning itself as a regional hub for technology and clean energy manufacturing by showcasing industrial estates ready to attract global investors relocating production. The government reported surging investment figures, wit

13h ago Khaosod

Industry Minister Varawut Silpaarchaa revealed progress at the Industrial Estate Authority of Thailand (IEAT) following the implementation of aggressive policies to drive Thailand's industrial sector. The Industry Ministry is accelerating Thailand's economic growth through the 'ONE MIND unified industry' initiative, showing concrete results.

Investment figures in industrial estates are surging, capitalizing on the global shift in manufacturing bases and positioning Thailand as a regional center for technology and clean energy industries. The IEAT's Low Carbon City development policy has become a major attraction for clean energy industrial groups to increase their investments continuously.

Simultaneously, the IEAT is accelerating efforts to elevate industrial estates nationwide as primary investment destinations for global investors through four key pillars: partnering with the World Bank to attract Green Finance supporting SMEs and future industries, promoting standardized international carbon credit markets, reforming laws to reduce factory licensing procedures to one month, and implementing smart surveillance systems to monitor environmental pollution 24/7.

According to IEAT Governor Sumet Tangsetsereekul, as of March 2025, overall investment in industrial estates continues to expand strongly. Thailand currently has 82 industrial estates across 18 provinces, with 75 operating commercially, housing over 5,798 factories with cumulative investment value reaching 13.37 trillion baht.

This aligns with the Board of Investment (BOI) first-quarter 2025 investment promotion applications, which surged over 1.01 trillion baht, representing 2.4 times growth—a crucial positive signal for Thailand's economic recovery, reflecting investor confidence in choosing Thailand as their primary manufacturing base.

Minister Varawut stated that these expansion figures reflect economic stability and success in attracting new investment into the country, particularly in electric vehicle (EV) and advanced technology sectors.

"The Industry Ministry is ready to push forward the new phase of the 'Thailand Future Fund: TFF,' raising over 100 billion baht as an important financial tool to develop green economic projects and support artificial intelligence (AI) and clean energy industries in the future, such as floating solar farms and digital infrastructure."

"Currently, the IEAT still has over 24,984 rai of available land for investment, mostly in the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC). We will accelerate development of the Smart Port Laem Chabang with digital technology and intelligent utilities infrastructure to support future industries (S-Curve), while supporting Thai SMEs to enter global supply chains to drive sustainable economic growth."

Bruno Won't Tolerate Keane's Distorted Comments – Former Legend Continues Jabs on Social Media

13h ago Khaosod

Bruno Fernandes, Manchester United's captain, has responded to criticism from Roy Keane, the legendary Red Devil midfielder, accusing him of distorting comments about prioritizing personal statistics over team success, while Keane continues to jab the younger player on social media.

Keane previously criticized Bruno for being at the center of "theatrical dramatics" following Manchester United's 3-2 victory over Nottingham Forest in the penultimate weekend of the season. The Irish national team legend claimed the Portuguese international prioritizes personal achievement over team interests in his drive to break the single-season assist record.

"After the Forest match, he gave an interview saying that Manchester United's captain said many times I should have shot but I passed the ball. Wow, how can a footballer like you compete by focusing only on personal statistics? He won't win trophies if he thinks that way about the team," Keane stated.

In his latest response, Bruno clarified that Keane misrepresented his actual comments. Bruno said he actually stated: "Today there might have been moments when I should have passed instead of shooting. I'm very happy to have made assists, but more importantly, I'm happy we won and finished the season beautifully."

Bruno expressed hope of clarifying things with his senior teammate, saying: "As I always say, I don't mind criticism. I accept it from everyone and have never retaliated. People have opinions—they think it's good or bad, that's their right. What I don't like is when people lie about things. In Roy Keane's case, what he said is basically a lie because either he didn't see the other interview or can't say I said something I didn't say. Fortunately for me, everything is recorded."

"I accept his criticism. I accept that he may or may not like me as a player or as a person, but what I don't like is him putting words in my mouth that I never said. That's the only thing I don't like," Bruno added.

However, following Bruno's response, Keane posted a drawing of a donkey braying loudly on Instagram with the caption: "Too much attention makes the donkey think it's a lion," seemingly taking another jab at Bruno without explicitly naming him.

This isn't the first time current Manchester United players have clashed with Red Devil legends. Earlier this season, Lisandro Martínez had a dispute with Paul Scholes and Nicky Butt after they criticized his height and his ability to compete with Manchester City striker Erling Haaland in the Manchester derby.

Family of Final Victim in Train-Bus Collision Arrives to Claim Body, Describes Deceased's Solitary Life

Family members claimed the body of the eighth and final victim of a train-bus collision at Bangkok's Asok-Dindeang intersection, a 44-year-old insurance worker whose isolated life meant he had no close family to initially report him missing

13h ago Khaosod

On May 26, 2025, at the Police Hospital's Forensic Institute, 60-year-old Nanthavaly Nakrop, the deceased's eldest sister, arrived along with her father's younger brother Long Pintong, 59, to claim the body of Semlap Pintong, a 44-year-old insurance company employee and the eighth and final victim of the train-bus collision at the Asok-Dindeang intersection. The family had not previously come forward to report him missing. The investigation led by Deputy Inspector Jarupat Buakaew from Mukkasan Police Station traced clues from Instagram stories posted by another victim, Wipharuks Phueri, and connected with the deceased's close friends and company, ultimately conducting DNA testing with his paternal cousin Pairat Pintong to confirm his identity, despite the two not being well acquainted.

Nanthavaly, 60, the deceased's maternal aunt who raised him as a child and hadn't seen him for over 30 years, revealed that although they had drifted apart geographically, they maintained contact and supported each other. She expressed shock upon learning he was among the victims, only discovering this when his friends and employer contacted her after the accident occurred the previous week.

"His life was lonely. Sometimes he wouldn't even answer calls, so we rarely spoke, only on important holidays," Nanthavaly said. "He was talented, hardworking, and had a good character. His parents and younger sister have all passed. He worked in insurance and had to commute to work, returning home late every day. When we'd visit, sometimes we'd stand waiting in the dark because he hadn't returned yet. He had no family. It was a pitiful life."

She emphasized that the family's visit was not motivated by hopes for compensation or financial settlement, only to properly care for and give their relative a dignified final farewell. "We're not expecting money at all. Even if we received nothing, we wouldn't mind. We just want to care for and send our brother off in the best way possible."

The family will take the deceased's body for religious ceremonies at Chompuvet Temple in Muang Nonthaburi district, where the remains of the deceased's parents and sister are kept. His rental room remains unopened as the family deliberates on next steps.

Thanakorn Sangkaew, director of the Bangkok Mass Transit Authority's Personnel Development Office, attending the proceedings, expressed condolences and stated that the BMTA will take full responsibility for the body's collection, religious ceremonies, and all related arrangements, including compensation according to applicable regulations. The family can determine the dates and procedures according to their wishes. Sangkaew confirmed that the BMTA has already assisted the families of the seven previously identified victims and will continue providing full support.

Break the Dry Skin Cycle: Long-lasting Moisture Lock and Skin Barrier Repair

Dry skin caused by weakened barriers can be fixed by replenishing ceramides, natural fatty acids that lock in moisture. CeraVe products use a patented technology to deliver hydration for up to 24 hours without the greasy feeling.

13h ago Khaosod

Dry, flaky skin with itching and irritation is a confidence-damaging problem, especially for those who spend long hours in air-conditioned environments. Many people apply multiple moisturizers only to find temporary relief before their skin becomes tight and flaky again in a never-ending cycle that continuously undermines skin health.

Ceramides and Skin Barrier: The Overlooked Key

Sustainable solutions to dehydrated skin don't come from surface moisturizing alone. Instead, you must understand how the skin barrier works—a structure built primarily on ceramides, natural fatty acids. When ceramide levels drop, the skin barrier weakens, losing its ability to retain moisture and becoming easily irritated. True restoration requires replenishing ceramides to rebuild and strengthen the skin's protective barrier.

Deep Nourishment Innovation: Extended Moisture Lock

To address dehydration effectively, CeraVe skincare products stand out by combining three essential ceramides. Whether in rich cream form or lightweight lotion, they feature MVE (Multivesicular Emulsion) technology—a patented delivery system that gradually releases active ingredients continuously for up to 24 hours of hydration. Key benefits include:

Skin Barrier Restoration: Essential ceramides (1, 3, 6-II) prevent water loss from the skin's layers MVE Technology: Provides deep, continuous hydration throughout the day Tailored Texture: Choose between cream and lotion formulas without greasiness

Developed with dermatologists, these products are fragrance-free, non-comedogenic, and hypoallergenic—safe even for sensitive skin. For those seeking to restore soft, supple skin, selecting the right texture allows you to experience lasting hydration and finally say goodbye to flaking and itching.

Prime Minister Anutthin Charnvirakul led a Thai delegation to Paris to discuss and demonstrate Thailand's political stability and commitment to economic reform with MEDEF International in France.

The delegation included Deputy Prime Ministers Ekniti Nitithanpraphat (Finance Ministry), Sihasak Phuangketkaew (Foreign Affairs), and Supachee Suthammapun (Commerce), alongside Deputy Prime Minister Yotchannan Wongsawadi (Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation) and Culture Minister Sabida Thaisat. They met with MEDEF International, led by Vice Chairman Francois Corbin and Chairman of the France-Thailand Business Council, in Paris, France.

The Prime Minister reiterated Thailand's political stability and commitment to economic reform, highlighted by Moody's recent upgrade of Thailand's outlook to "Stable"—a signal of investor confidence in Thailand's long-term investment potential. He thanked the French business community for their trust and continued partnership in Thailand's growth.

The PM noted that Thailand is gaining momentum from foreign direct investment through the "Thailand Fast Pass" policy, aimed at making investment in Thailand "fast, smart, predictable, and reliable." He also emphasized that Thailand serves as a gateway to ASEAN's market of over 700 million people.

Deputy PM Ekniti stated that both countries can elevate cooperation further, describing this as a critical moment to build long-term partnerships as Thailand prepares for major future investments amid stable macroeconomic fundamentals, including high international reserves, low foreign debt, and manageable public debt-to-GDP ratios.

He emphasized that Thailand can be a strategic partner for France in Asia to build new supply chains focused not just on cost but on infrastructure, economic resilience, skilled labor, and university collaboration to develop talent for future industries. Thailand is ready to advance cooperation with France under the "5Ts" framework—Targeted Industries, Transition, Transform, Transparent, and Together—to create sustainable long-term partnerships with French businesses.

Thanawatch Nitikanchana, president of Ratchaburi FC, posted a farewell message to veteran player Chakraphan Kaewphrom, honoring him as one of the club's greatest legends. The 38-year-old footballer is departing from Ratchaburi FC after the recent season, concluding a four-year partnership with the club. In his post, the club president lauded Chakraphan as a trusted figure and one of the team's most legendary players. The message read: "Four years ago, when this club was weakening, we needed someone to bring us hope. Then came a legend from another big club, who walked in and told us 'we can do this.' Four years have passed, and now he is walking out as one of the greatest legends of this team. Every moment we shared together—joy and sorrow, celebration and embrace, defeat, stress, and heartbreak—we always found solutions together. We spent hours on phone calls to elevate our team to the next level. Most importantly, we fought side by side. I will definitely miss fighting shoulder to shoulder with you, captain. If I am a commander-in-chief, Nott is my sword—the person we trusted, the one we were confident would lead our army to victory and bring everyone safely home. But everything has its time. Thank you Nott for these beautiful four years. You will always have a home here, and we will miss you, Captain Nott."
