Wife Sues Husband's Mistress, Catches Them Red-Handed with Suspicious Underwear Smell; Hires Private Investigator to Prove the Truth
A Thai wife hired private investigators after noticing an unusual smell on her husband's underwear, suspecting infidelity. The investigation team conducted undercover operations and gathered evidence confirming the husband's affair, which will now be used in a lawsuit against the mistress. The case highlights an unconventional investigative approach based on intimate knowledge of the suspect's personal hygiene.
On May 3, 2025, attorney Hongsa Hatthaya Anteng disclosed details of a case involving a wife suing her husband's mistress, with evidence including the husband's underwear that had an unusual smell. The private investigation team leader recounted how a female client contacted them in early January seeking to hire investigators to gather evidence for an infidelity lawsuit. When questioned about her suspicions, the client explained that she knows her husband's scent very well after years of living together, but recently his underwear smelled different. The investigator initially thought this was insufficient evidence, so he asked for the client to provide clothing samples—both the old and new underwear—for verification. The investigator and team members conducted smell tests to compare the differences between the old and new scents. After confirming the smell discrepancy, they advised the client that evidence of scent alone would be insufficient for a lawsuit, so they launched a full investigation. The team conducted undercover operations, disguising themselves as garbage collectors, fruit vendors, and truck drivers to gather intelligence in the areas frequented by both the husband and his alleged mistress. Through their investigations, they confirmed the husband was indeed having an affair, with witness testimony and additional evidence that was kept confidential. All findings were forwarded to the legal team for court proceedings.
