Thai boy band PROXIE celebrated their 4th anniversary with a special fan meeting at Thunder Dome in Bangkok, featuring a unique collaboration where fans' handwritten postcards were transformed into a new song called "She is the Reason (Smile)." The event brought together the six-member group and their growing fanbase in a celebration of their journey together over four years, with the band noting how they've matured alongside their fans.
PROXIE celebrated their 4th anniversary with a touching fan meet at Thunder Dome, featuring a special song composed from fan postcards and marking their growth alongside their dedicated user community. The six-member group—Shokun-Pawarish, Victor-Vorameth, Kim-Pannathon, Gun-Ratchanon, Henry-Oscar, and Kor-Wannapirojn—created memorable moments during the "4th PROXIEversary's Celebration Fan Meeting '404 Found You'" at Thunder Dome in Muang Thong Thani, surrounded by warm and intimate atmosphere.
Before the event, the members shared what made this 4th anniversary milestone special. Gun expressed excitement about returning to Thunder Dome, recalling their first concert there as PROXIE and feeling like coming back home. Kim emphasized how their fan family had grown significantly over four years, thanking all supporters and parents who made PROXIE's existence possible today. He noted the expanded scale of this year's event, featuring special performances at the larger venue.
The event's theme and special song emerged from a unique fan collaboration project. Kor explained that this year's anniversary celebration began with fan club members sending postcards with messages, which the band then transformed into lyrics for a new song called "She is the Reason (Smile)." This concept extended to a Siam Center exhibition and culminated in today's fan meeting. Shokun clarified that this special single came from fans submitting postcards, with their messages becoming the song's lyrics.
What made this collaboration particularly moving was the reversal from previous years—while PROXIE composed for fans last year, this year fans composed for the band. Kor shared that many fans were thrilled to see their own handwriting featured on the song cover, making the track a genuine connection between PROXIE and their fanbase. Kim humorously revealed they received 120,000 postcards, so many that Thai postal services reportedly slowed down due to the volume of PROXIE fan mail.
The members reflected on their growth journey, with Shokun noting that from their debut through year four, they've matured alongside their fans—many of whom were in secondary school initially and are now in their third or fourth year of university. This parallel growth created a unique bond between the group and their community.
When asked if tears might flow during today's event, Kim predicted happy tears of joy, as they came to spread happiness and fun. He jokingly suggested Victor, the quieter member, might be the one getting emotional. The members playfully bantered about their dynamics, with Kor recalling Victor's brief speech at a previous concert that his father later praised, and recent inside jokes about Henry gifting Gun a Nintendo Switch after recently receiving his first salary.
