Pond Deposits 'Peach and Me' with Confidence – Takes on Heavy Workload; Pim Volunteers to Stand as a Statue

Production has begun on 'Peach and Me,' a spinoff from the 'Me and Thee Series,' with actor Pond already filming three scenes and promising humor-filled content to release this year, though he's readjusting to the character after a five-mon

25 Apr Khaosod

Production has begun on 'Peach and Me' (Peach and Me), a special spinoff project from the series 'Me and Thee Series,' with the latest update coming on April 23rd when Pond Naravich and Pim Phuean attended the launch of the flagship OPPO Find X9 Ultra smartphone at SPHERE HALL, 5th floor of EMSPHERE.

Pond revealed that three scenes have already been filmed, and the on-set atmosphere remains warm and cheerful as always. He guarantees that the humor and memorable one-liners will be complete, with the project expected to release sometime this year. He acknowledged, however, that he needs to revisit his character work to rebalance his portrayal of Theer after being away from filming for nearly five months.

Regarding his dog Parker, who had recently been unwell, Pond expressed his concern but noted that the dog is now close to being fully recovered. He also shared that caring for Parker during the recovery period has been therapeutic and helped him forget his fatigue temporarily.

When asked about production progress, Pond stated: "We've already shot three segments. The atmosphere has been great, and I can guarantee everyone will laugh. We want it to air soon too." He described the experience as bringing back the old energy from the original series, with nearly five months having passed since they last filmed.

On character preparation, Pond explained the challenge of balancing Theer's character after such a long break, noting that his portrayal at work differs from his series performance. He emphasized the importance of reviewing the script to fully reconnect with the character.

Pim offered Pond encouragement, saying he already does excellent work and should get more rest. When jokingly asked if Pim would appear in the special, Pim humorously replied he could "stand as a statue" if needed, expressing his willingness to support whatever is decided by the producers.

25 Apr Khaosod

At 8:00 AM on April 25, 2569, at Narathiwat City Police Station, Pol. Col. Prayong Kotorsaekha, commander of Narathiwat Provincial Police, transferred Senior Sergeant Virojn Ketumani—one of five suspects in the alleged murder of Narathiwat MP Komlaksak Leewamaew—for additional questioning. Officers then petitioned Narathiwat Provincial Court for a remand order, with investigators conducting over an hour of additional questioning before the suspect was transported to court. When reporters asked Virojn about the charges, he briefly responded that he believes he is merely a small pawn in a local political conflict and that state agencies are uninvolved.

Virojn was escorted from the police station to the provincial court under heavy security by the Narathiwat Special Operations Unit. All five suspects in the case have been remanded in custody at Narathiwat Prison, including: Sompon Langdech (organizer), Alawi Awe (driver), Thanapat Wattanaphinyo (shooter), Sunthorn Phromphakdi (workshop owner), and Senior Sergeant Virojn Ketumani (shooter).

Narathiwat Prison officials report that the four detainees have adjusted well to prison life, though some anxiety remains, and staff maintain close supervision to prevent any self-harm. Investigators indicate that further examination is underway on multiple points, including financial transactions, meetings with other individuals, suspect travel patterns, and mobile phone communications. The victim's lawyer has submitted requests for thorough investigation into these details to potentially identify the person ordering the attack.

Thailand and US Accelerate ART Trade Negotiations; Supachai Pushes for Tariff Exemptions on US-Unavailable Agricultural Products

Thailand's Deputy Prime Minister Supachai Panitchpakdi met with the US Ambassador to push forward negotiations on a reciprocal trade agreement (ART) between the two countries. Thailand has requested tariff exemptions for agricultural products the US cannot produce domestically and plans to lead a business delegation to the US in May to promote investment. As the US is Thailand's second-largest trading partner with over $93 billion in annual trade, both nations aim to deepen their economic partnership and reach a quick agreement.

25 Apr Khaosod

Deputy Prime Minister and Commerce Minister Supachai Panitchpakdi revealed on April 25, 2025, following discussions with US Ambassador to Thailand Sean Oniell on Friday, April 24, that the talks were constructive and reflected mutual confidence in elevating economic and trade relations between Thailand and the US, a partnership spanning over 190 years.

Supachai announced that the Thai government prioritizes negotiations on the Agreement on Reciprocal Trade (ART) with the US and is prepared to work closely with American counterparts. Thailand is committed to advancing the negotiations toward a quick conclusion to build confidence in both countries' business and market sectors.

Regarding US Section 301 investigations, Supachai emphasized that Thailand has provided comprehensive information on excess capacity and forced labor import ban issues, noting that many Thai exports are supply chain products supporting US manufacturing.

Thailand also affirmed its labor standards align with international norms and is ready to collaborate closely with the US for mutually beneficial outcomes.

Thailand has proposed that the US consider tariff exemptions for products it cannot produce domestically, particularly key agricultural exports, to minimize consumer impact in the US and promote more mutually beneficial trade.

Supachai also announced plans to visit the US in early May to attend the SelectUSA Investment Summit 2026, leading a delegation of Thai business leaders focused on expanding investment in key US sectors. He will also meet with USABC and USCC investors to promote bilateral investment and witness business cooperation agreements (MOUs), reflecting private sector confidence in the US economy and strategic partnership between both nations.

Thailand plans to balance trade by importing essential goods and raw materials from the US, such as agricultural and energy products, demonstrating Thailand's commitment as a responsible and reliable economic partner.

Supachai concluded that Thailand views the US as a strategically important trade partner, and these discussions reflect shared intent to elevate economic relations. Thailand stands ready to work closely with the US to achieve sustainable long-term mutual benefits.

In 2024, the US was Thailand's second-largest trading partner with total trade value exceeding $93.65 billion, with Thai exports to the US valued at $72.51 billion, covering major products including computers, rubber products, gems, automobiles, and air conditioning units. Thai imports from the US reached $21.14 billion.

Anutin Dismisses 'Pointless' Questions After Media Asks About Orange Models on Thai-Japan Tower

Prime Minister Anutin dismissed media questions about two orange models displayed in his office at the Thai-Japan Tower, calling the inquiries "pointless" and irrelevant to government work.

25 Apr Khaosod

At the Bhumjaithai Party headquarters on April 25, Prime Minister and Interior Minister Anutin Charnvirakul responded to media questions after opening his office for interviews. Media and social media users noticed two orange models displayed in a glass case within his office at the Thai-Japan Tower in the Government House. This sparked social media speculation about whether the oranges were being preserved or confined. Upon hearing the question, the Prime Minister smiled and shook his head before saying, 'That's absolutely pointless. Honestly.' When reporters pressed further, asking whether they were auspicious oranges, Anutin replied, 'I won't say. It's irrelevant because it's not something that needs to be publicized. Where else would the oranges be if not in a box? What does the public and the nation gain from asking about this? Does it obstruct the government's work? This shouldn't be a question worth asking.'

CK Shares Advice with Young Generation: Don't Send Money Home if You Can't Support Yourself

CK Cheong, CEO of Thai freelance platform Fastwork, has sparked debate by advising young graduates not to send money home to their parents if they cannot support themselves first. Arguing that an 18,000 baht monthly salary in Bangkok leaves no room for savings after expenses, CK compares the situation to airplane safety protocols—securing yourself before helping others. His perspective challenges traditional Thai expectations of adult children contributing to family finances, generating mixed reactions on social media.

25 Apr Khaosod

CK Cheong, CEO of Fastwork (a Thai online freelance platform), recently posted a video sharing his thoughts on young people giving money to their parents amid the current economic squeeze. He argues that recent graduates earning 18,000 baht a month in Bangkok shouldn't send money home if they can't support themselves, challenging the common expectation that young workers contribute to family expenses.

"The first thing I always tell young people is: if you can't support yourself, don't send money to your parents," CK stated. "A fresh graduate makes 18,000 baht, but as soon as they earn that, their parents say, 'Now that you have income, send us 5,000 every month.' But with 18,000 baht in Bangkok and no savings, that's unrealistic."

He questioned the logic of expecting young people to financially support their parents while struggling themselves. "Ask this directly: who is the future—the parents or the children? You're draining resources from your children when they're actually the ones with a future," he said. "On 18,000 baht in Bangkok, do they even have anything saved? Yet we're asking for 5,000 of it."

CK acknowledged that some families face genuine hardship, but pointed out that sometimes money goes to lottery tickets. He noted that parents already face reduced burden since their children are now earning and supporting themselves through education. "Yet we still try to take money from them. That's the problem," he explained.

CK emphasized a key principle: secure yourself first. He compared it to airplane safety instructions—help yourself before helping others. "If you can't support yourself, don't worry about your parents. You have to secure yourself first. That's the crucial rule," he stressed, as social media debated the topic from various angles, with some agreeing and others emphasizing filial gratitude.

Closing Statement Revealed: Tawi Accuses Sakdiayam of Using Nominee to Hide Shares Worth Hundreds of Millions Despite 9,000 Baht Monthly Salary

A closing statement by Pol. Lt. Col. Tawi Soddsong alleges that former Transport Minister Sakdiayam Chidchob used a nominee earning only 9,000 baht monthly to conceal ownership of shares worth 119.5 million baht, with evidence showing the funds originated from Sakdiayam's own accounts. Money trail analysis and circumstantial evidence reveal Sakdiayam retained actual control of the company, which received hundreds of construction contracts from the Transport Ministry during his tenure. The statement formed part of the evidence leading to the Constitutional Court's decision to remove Sakdiayam from his ministerial position.

25 Apr Khaosod

The National Anti-Corruption Commission dismissed a case against former Transport Minister Sakdiayam Chidchob for allegedly concealing assets in a limited partnership, contradicting a Constitutional Court ruling. The case sparked widespread legal debate. On April 25, 2026, the Constitutional Court's decision to remove Sakdiayam from his ministerial position was partly based on evidence from a closing statement by Pol. Lt. Col. Tawi Soddsong, a Prachathai party list MP. The statement was filed in Case No. 8/2566 to determine whether Sakdiayam's ministerial position ended under Section 170(5) read with Section 187 of the Constitution.

The closing statement revealed critical evidence that Sakdiayam's claimed transfer of 119.5 million baht in shares on January 26, 2561 was merely a sham transaction with no actual payment made. According to tax records from 2015-2019, the nominee reported annual income of only 108,000-118,000 baht, averaging 9,000 baht monthly. This directly contradicted Sakdiayam's claims of substantial personal income exceeding 500 million baht from private business with no tax documentation to support it.

Money trail analysis revealed the funds used to purchase and sell shares ultimately originated from Sakdiayam's own accounts, including those of the Buri Charoen Construction Partnership and Silachai Buriram Company (1991) Limited, both entities he owned and controlled. Circumstantial evidence indicated Sakdiayam retained actual control and ownership, including the business address remaining at his residence, continuous use of his personal vehicles for fuel expenses through October 2562 (nearly two years after the alleged transfer), and delegation of full financial authority to a junior employee holding only 3,000 baht in shares.

Most notably, the company received hundreds of construction contracts from the Transport Ministry during Sakdiayam's tenure as minister—the only period the nominee took control—raising significant questions about the timing and legitimacy of the share transfer.

Motives Exposed: University Lab Employee Poisons Coworker Over Promotion Snub, Confesses to Using AI for Research

A 41-year-old laboratory employee at a U.S. university admitted to poisoning a coworker's water bottle and shoes with dangerous chemicals over resentment about a promotion decision, using AI to research chemical quantities.

25 Apr Khaosod

Jealousy may be a fleeting emotion for some, but in certain cases it can escalate into extreme behavior. This case made headlines when a laboratory employee at a prominent U.S. university was accused of attempting to poison a coworker simply because he was dissatisfied with what he perceived as an unfair promotion decision.

The perpetrator is Makoto Kuroda, a 41-year-old man facing serious charges for both reckless endangerment of others and intentional product contamination causing health harm. He admitted to placing dangerous chemicals into his coworker's water bottle in the lab.

Kuroda and the victim, identified only by the initials "T.M.," had known each other since 2017 and worked together at an influenza research institute for five years. What began as a close working relationship gradually deteriorated into accumulating dissatisfaction.

The incident came to light on April 4 when T.M. attempted to drink water from a bottle that had been sitting on his desk for several days, only to notice an abnormal taste and immediately spit it out. A coworker confirmed the bottle had a distinctly strange odor.

Shortly after, T.M. discovered another anomaly when his shoes in the lab emitted a strong foul smell, prompting him to contact police. Testing revealed chloroform at such a high concentration that precise measurement was impossible.

Following the investigation, Kuroda admitted to being the perpetrator. He used paraformaldehyde mixed with triazole, dripping it into T.M.'s water bottle and placing it in the victim's shoes, intending to cause illness and skin irritation.

Kuroda's motives extended beyond just the promotion issue. He also expressed dissatisfaction with what he viewed as his coworker's failure to follow lab safety protocols, such as not wearing protective equipment, combined with accumulated minor conflicts that festered into deep resentment.

Most alarming was Kuroda's admission that he used AI, specifically ChatGPT, to research the required quantities of chemicals. Police documents indicated he wanted the victim to "feel bad" and believed the other person deserved such consequences, viewing it as "bad people should experience bad things."

Pichit Smiles About Single Status, Not Rushing Into a Relationship; Reveals Ideal Partner Must Start as a Friend; Makes Acting Comeback

Thai actress Pichit Charada Imraporn makes her acting comeback with a lead role in an intense drama-driven BL series called "Thaoi Rak Kham Luang," marking her return after focusing on influencer work. At a recent press conference, she shared that she's completely single and not rushing into relationships, while also expressing joy about her role as an aunt to her young niece. The actress emphasized this new challenging character is unlike anything she's played before, requiring her to master complex, emotionally demanding scenes.

25 Apr Khaosod

After a lengthy hiatus from acting to focus on influencer work, actress Pichit Charada Imraporn is making her comeback with a significant role in an intense drama-driven BL series at NORTHSTAR. At the NORTHSTAR FIRST LIGHT LINE UP 2026 press conference held at CentralPoint Studio, the actress updated the media on her acting projects requiring serious warm-up and a challenging new role, along with sharing happy moments from her personal life as an aunt who's deeply involved in caring for her young niece. She also revealed her current relationship status is completely single.

When asked about her return to acting after being away, Pichit explained: "I've been away from acting for quite a while. I've done some projects, but it's been about a year since I've played a yuri-style character. I felt I needed to really shake the rust off because I've been taking on a lot of influencer work lately. Now that I'm back to acting, I'm getting into it, but I definitely need to warm up since this role is quite heavy."

On her decision to join this project: "The script is really interesting, and it's a character type I've never played before. It's challenging and demanding. The team at Northstar and P'Tik are so lovely. I felt it would make me really happy to work with this family."

When asked about her character, she revealed: "The series is called 'Thaoi Rak Kham Luang' or 'Third Person' in English. I play Nadia, and it's a love story involving three people."

Regarding her character's nature, she said: "I don't want to spoil too much—you'll find out soon! But I can tell you I'm a good person. The storyline is very intense with no light moments. Every scene I'm in is intense. We've finished about 50% of filming."

On her workshop preparation with co-stars Kaan and Mee, Pichit shared: "We had workshops together and got to know each other. This story requires heavy script reading because it's very complex—not easy for me at all."

About the difficulty of the role: "Every scene I'm in doesn't have a moment of relaxation. It's constantly tense and emotional. My makeup artist knows my makeup gets smudged constantly because I'm crying so much. It's very dramatic. Usually I play happy, comedic roles, but this one is serious—no comedy here."

On the working atmosphere: "Everyone is new to this genre, but it's fun. There are only beautiful, gracious women. Costumes, hair, everything is beautiful. I'm really happy."

When asked if she's become attached to this genre: "I like it, but I haven't seen the pilot yet to see how it turns out. During filming it felt fun and the timing of each scene was great, maybe because of Nadia's character."

On when viewers can expect to see it: "I have no idea yet! But I heard people whispering that the pilot that's been edited is amazing."

Regarding whether this is a full commitment back to acting: "Yes, I'm intentional about this. I want to come back to acting fully because my influencer work has decreased. I want to return to what I used to do and what I've come to love."

On whether she deliberately reduced influencer work for acting: "Actually, I used to take every opportunity that came my way. There might have been some selectivity, but back then I was trying to make money to build a house—I was really focused on that. Now that the house is finished, I want to focus on what I truly want to do. This year I'm dedicated solely to acting."

Updating on her niece: "My niece is so cute. She's only 3 months old but growing so fast. I don't want her to grow up. Now that we're living in the same house, I sleep next to her. When she cries, I can tell if she's hungry."
