NSM and Science Association Send 8 Thai Youth Teams to Compete in REGENERON ISEF 2026 Global Science Project
Eight Thai youth teams departed for Phoenix, Arizona to compete in REGENERON ISEF 2026, the world's largest science and engineering fair, with support from the National Science Museum and Thai Science Association.
On May 9, at Suvarnabhumi Airport, Prof. Dr. Supha Haarnonbua, President of the Thai National Science Association under Royal Patronage and board member of the National Science Museum Organization (NSM), came to send off and encourage eight Thai youth teams heading to compete in REGENERON ISEF 2026, the world's largest science and engineering fair. The competition brings together young scientists from around the globe to showcase creative thinking and innovation and will be held May 9-15, 2026 in Phoenix, Arizona, USA. Meanwhile, NSM officials also departed from Chiang Mai International Airport to provide support to the youth teams. Mr. Suwarong Wongsiri, Acting Deputy Director of NSM, stated that this year the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation, through NSM and the Science Association, selected 8 youth teams: 1 team from Damrongrachsangkhom School in Chiang Rai, 2 teams from Bangkok Christian College in Bangkok, 3 teams from Prince Royal's College in Chiang Mai, and 2 teams from Kamnoed Witthaya School in Rayong. Mr. Suwarong further noted that sending Thai youth to REGENERON ISEF 2026 not only provides an opportunity to demonstrate their scientific and innovation potential at an international level but also inspires the new generation across the country to recognize the value of learning and research. The Ministry of Higher Education places great importance on developing scientific and innovation personnel. Thailand's participation in this global competition reflects the country's commitment to empowering youth as key drivers of the future and as proud representatives of Thailand internationally.
