Police arrested a 47-year-old man named Bunyasong on July 8, 2025, based on a warrant from Samut Sakhon Provincial Court issued on July 6, 2025. He faces charges of committing indecent acts against a minor through threats, use of force, and assault against someone unable to resist.

According to the investigation, in mid-January, the victim was resting alone in her rental room when the suspect forced his way in, grabbed her sexually, and touched her body. Despite her resistance and pleas to stop, he continued to assault her with intent to rape. When her actual boyfriend arrived at the room, the suspect fled immediately. The victim filed a police report, and the court subsequently approved an arrest warrant.

Following a tip that the suspect was hiding in the Oom Yai area of Sampran District, Nakhon Pathom Province, officers tracked him down and apprehended him.

During interrogation, the suspect denied all allegations, claiming he had been dating the victim for years despite being married. He insisted he did not commit the assault, alleging that a man claiming to be the victim's boyfriend arrived, which led to a physical altercation before he fled. He claimed he had no knowledge the victim was involved with someone else. Authorities transferred the suspect to Krathumban Police Station for further legal proceedings.

Pranorm Chemchaipoomi viewed the July 6 incident as reflecting state power concentration and public participation neglect, urging officials and police to respect democratic expression rights.

In concluding remarks, Dr. Sueksakul Kitanukon announced the network's six positions: demanding solutions to mining source problems in Myanmar and Laos; opposing protest violence; calling Chinese government accountability for Chinese corporate impacts; urging Thailand to strengthen measures, including possible restriction of Myanmar ore imports; inviting global scrutiny of rare earth sourcing for electric vehicles; and demanding Chinese EV manufacturers disclose raw material origins for environmental and human rights responsibility.

On July 8, 2025, Deputy National Police Commissioner Trairong Phipphanan, acting as the police spokesman, visited the Police K-9 training center under the Special Training Command of the Border Patrol Police in Cha-am, Phetchaburi. The facility trains police dogs to specialize in detecting narcotics, explosives, and tracking suspects to assist in investigations, arrests, and crime prevention while protecting public safety.

Deputy Commissioner Trairong explained that the Border Patrol Police K-9 unit has two primary roles: tactical tracking and explosive detection, particularly in southern border provinces, and drug detection operations. Recently, K-9 trainers and dogs have been deployed to search airports and transportation hubs to prevent drug smuggling abroad, following orders from National Police Commissioner Kittisak Phanphech.

In a recent interview on the program "Tiang Wan Tan Heit Karngan," Garrchai addressed the case, explaining that while the court has offered mediation as part of its process, he is not yet ready to accept settlement. "The court's mediation process is one thing, but I have explained to the court through my lawyer that I may not be ready for mediation at this stage. I want to wait and see how the defendant behaves during the trial first," he said.

Garrchai confirmed he has seen Pu's three settlement proposals but will not consider them until the appropriate time. "I have seen her three proposals, but I will not consider all three of them until the right moment comes. For now, I won't," he stated.

He emphasized that he wants to exercise his legal rights to present the facts before pursuing settlement. "The court is kind to offer mediation, but I have been wronged all along.
