Toyota Gazoo Racing Opens First Season Event
Toyota launched its motorsports season at Bangsaen with the first Toyota Gazoo Racing Thailand event, marking 40 years of racing activities and featuring One Make races, off-road 4×4 experiences, and carbon-neutral fuel vehicle competitions
Toyota held its Toyota Gazoo Racing Thailand motorsports event, inviting customers to experience 4×4 off-road driving with the LAND CRUISER FJ and other activities.
Noriyaki Yamashita, speaking at the event opening, said: "Toyota is committed to the philosophy of 'Making ever-better motorsports-bred cars,' pushing beyond our limits through motorsports competition. We test vehicles under the most challenging conditions and continuously develop them alongside professional racers and Thai engineers. We bring the knowledge gained from the track to develop high-performance and reliable vehicles for road use."
This year marks the 40th anniversary of Toyota's motorsports activities in Thailand. Toyota held the season-opening event at Bangsaen, featuring exciting One Make Race competitions including the Hilux Revo One Make Race, Yaris One Make Race, Corolla Altis GR Sport One Make Race, and Yaris ATIV Lady One Make Race. As part of Toyota's diverse fuel options strategy, spectators also witnessed carbon-neutral fuel vehicle races featuring the Yaris and Yaris ATIV.
Toyota prepared special activities for motorsports fans: • 4×4 Experience: Test drive Toyota vehicles (TRAVO, LAND CRUISER FJ, and FORTUNER) on a five-meter-high simulated mountain with routes designed to test vehicle capabilities and build driver confidence across various terrains
✓ Up & Down Hill: Test climbing and descending steep grades with confidence ✓ Side Slope Hill: Experience vehicle stability on laterally inclined roads ✓ Twist Road: Test the suspension system and road grip on rough terrain with alternating wheel lifts • Enjoy activity booths from sponsors with special promotions from authorized dealers, authentic TOYOTA GAZOO Racing merchandise (GR Collection), car accessories, and showcases from car clubs nationwide displaying their vehicles along Bangsaen Beach.
"Finally, we hope these Toyota activities will not only elevate Thailand's motorsports scene but also stimulate the economy and promote tourism. We thank all official sponsors, relevant agencies, and all motorsports fans who are part of today's speed festival. Enjoy this weekend and experience the spirit of 'TOYOTA GAZOO Racing Thailand' together. Thank you," Yamashita concluded.
Southern motorsports fans should prepare for the second event, "Toyota Gazoo Racing Thailand 2026," scheduled for August 28-30 at Sanam Luang Saphan Hin Park in Phuket, promising equally thrilling racing action.
