TOYOTA GAZOO Racing Thailand Claims Championship Title at Opening Round of TSS 2026
TOYOTA GAZOO Racing Thailand dominated the opening round of the 2026 TSS racing series at Chang International Circuit in Buriram, claiming multiple class victories with seven Toyota vehicles across four categories.
TOYOTA GAZOO Racing Thailand, a major racing team with 40 years of continuous success in Thai motorsports under the support of Toyota Motor Thailand Company Limited, kicked off the 2026 racing season with intensity, competing in the TSS The Super Series by B-Quik at Chang International Circuit in Buriram (May 21-24, 2026). The team fielded seven Toyota vehicles across four classes and delivered outstanding performances.
In the TSS Super Car GTC class, the GR Supra GTC (#24) driven by Natthavut Chareonsukhawattana and Na Dol Wattanatharm claimed first place in Race 1, while the Corolla Altis GTC (#37) piloted by Natthapong Hotongkam and Manat Kullapalanat finished second in Race 1 before winning Race 2.
In the Super Touring category, the Yaris ATIV (#25) with drivers Narusmee Abiwat and Aitun Attadahorn secured podium finishes (1st and 2nd) in the Touring-NA class. The Yaris ATIV HEV (#67) driven by rookie Mario-Sitthichai Khangnimit finished 10th and 9th in the same class.
The TSS Supercar GT4 class saw the GR Supra GT4 (#19) driven by Sutthipong Smitchai and Kran Suphapong finish 2nd and 3rd in the GT4 Am class, while the #11 car with Akrapong Akninitrot and Krit Vasutrat ended 2nd and 4th in the GT4 Pro class.
In the Super Pickup category, the Hilux Champ (#92) driven by Songsak Kornsirisuksakul finished 7th, 6th, and 5th across the three races in Pickup A class.
Team director and driver Sutthipong Smitchai commented on the opening round performance: "Overall, the first race was satisfactory. The team successfully captured championship titles, with all parties working together excellently. While there are areas to develop and improve, we've gathered important data from this opening to adjust settings and further enhance our vehicles for the next race. Our goal is to score maximum points at every round and secure championships in every class."
