Kasetsart University Food Science Students Donate Funds for Medical School and Hospital Construction
Students from Kasetsart University's Food Science and Technology department donated 10,000 baht from their "Food Sci-En Bakery 2025" business project to support the construction of a Medical School and Hospital at the university. The initiative combines student entrepreneurship with social responsibility and community service. The university is also inviting public donations to support the hospital construction project through multiple channels.
Students from the Department of Food Science and Technology at Kasetsart University's Faculty of Agricultural Industry have donated earnings from their "Food Sci-En Bakery 2025" business simulation project to contribute toward funding the construction of a Medical School and Hospital at Kasetsart University, combining creative entrepreneurship with social benefit.
On May 12, 2026, at Kasetsart University's President's Office, Dr. Damrong Sripraphram, Acting President of Kasetsart University, received a donation of 10,000 baht from student representatives of the Department of Food Science and Technology, Faculty of Agricultural Industry. The funds came from revenue generated by the Food Sci-En Bakery 2025 project and will support the construction of the Medical School and Hospital at Kasetsart University.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Suttipun Kaewsompong, Dean of the Faculty of Agricultural Industry, along with project advisors, participated in the presentation, with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nuchnathat Mangkarn, Vice President for Finance and Special Activities, serving as witness.
The Food Sci-En Bakery 2025 project is a student-managed business simulation that applies food science and technology knowledge to create premium bakery products including Oat Amour, Morning Honey, and Midnight Brownie. These products received excellent customer feedback throughout the project period, which concluded in early 2026. Each student cohort participates in this project annually before graduation.
This donation demonstrates students' success in integrating academic knowledge and professional skills with business management, while showing commitment to supporting the university's important social development initiatives.
Kasetsart University invites donors to contribute to the construction of the university hospital by supporting the Medical School, Nursing School, Pharmacy School, and Kasetsart University Hospital. Donations are tax-deductible. Contributions can be made through two channels: the Punboon website at https://www.punboon.org/foundation/01162 or via Thai Military Bank Account No. 069-2-77187-6 under the name Kasetsart University Hospital.
