Coach Jo Theerasak Podeuan has announced his departure from Khon Kaen United, taking responsibility for the team's failure to secure promotion to Thailand's top league for next season. The team finished seventh in Thai League 2, just one point below the playoff qualification threshold. Coach Jo posted an emotional farewell on Facebook, thanking everyone involved while committing to becoming a lifelong fan of Khon Kaen United.

28 Apr Khaosod

Coach Jo Theerasak Podeuan, an accomplished football coach, has announced his departure from Khon Kaen United after the team failed to secure promotion to Thailand's top division next season. Under Coach Jo's leadership, Khon Kaen United delivered disappointing results in the BYD Seal 5 Thai League 2 during the 2025-26 season, accumulating 45 points from 11 wins, 12 draws, and 11 losses, finishing seventh on the table just one point behind sixth-place Chainat Hornbill, and ultimately missing out on playoff qualification for Thai League 1 promotion next season. Coach Jo recently posted on his personal Facebook announcing his decision not to renew his contract with the team for the upcoming season, taking responsibility for the team's performance. In his post, he stated: "To the Khon Kaen United family, I want to thank Khon Kaen United for the opportunity to become part of the team in the latter half of the season with the mission and expectation to lead the team toward our promotion goal. Although we may not have reached our intended objective, I'm proud of what we built together—our performance on the pitch, the team's spirit, and the confidence in our dressing room. I want to express gratitude to Chairman Ekrachai, President Watthana, Director Pittaksorn, Director Veerdej, and Director Krachasak, as well as all players, coaching staff from all departments, and Jongjangphayong fans who have given me their support, belief, and affection throughout. What means most to me is not just the match results, but seeing this team grow, become united, and fight with all their heart in every game. Today I've decided to end this journey here and not renew my contract because I couldn't lead the team to the goal I promised from my first day. Although this is not an easy decision, I believe this is the right time. I leave with pride and cherish good memories of this club. Thank you to the fans who love me and wanted me to stay—those feelings mean a lot to me and will always be in my heart. I wish Khon Kaen United success and an early return to Thai League 1. And from today on, I will forever be a Jongjangphayong fan. We shall meet again. With respect, love, and sincere gratitude, Coach Jo Theerasak Podeuan."

Teacher Beer continued: "People don't even recognize me with my dark skin tone, and yesterday someone asked if it was true that we were dating based on the TikTok drama—it's not good news and made me uncomfortable, so I'm making this statement." James Rueangsakdi Opens Up About Marriage Struggles, Shares Lessons From Wife's Miscarriage and Infertility Journey

Thai celebrity James Rueangsakdi shares his deeply personal journey through infertility and his wife's miscarriage, revealing the emotional and psychological toll it took on their marriage. He emphasizes that physical strength doesn't guarantee easy conception and stresses the importance of being a truly present father, with his wife's determination to learn about fertility eventually transforming their suffering into a mission to help others.

28 Apr Khaosod

James Rueangsakdi opens up about his marriage and family struggles, sharing lessons from infertility and his wife's miscarriage. Few would expect that James and his wife carefully planned every detail of their family life before marriage, revealing intimate details on the show "MY DADDY James." He recounts their over-one-year struggle with infertility, with the most difficult moment being his wife's first miscarriage. He warns men that physical strength doesn't equate to easy conception, emphasizing the crucial philosophy of being a "truly present father"—valuing children's time above anything else. This principle became their relationship's foundation, helping the entire family grow together steadily.

Reflecting on their infertility struggles, James and his wife, like many couples, initially believed that as a strong athlete and an attractive woman, having children would be natural. However, after six months and then a year of trying naturally without success, they grew discouraged. When James married at 39 and his wife was in her early thirties, one year of trying proved unsuccessful. They didn't just fail to conceive; the emotional toll became overwhelming. His wife experienced deep feelings of worthlessness and despair, questioning why she couldn't be a mother while watching others her age succeed effortlessly. At that time, she wasn't yet "Khru Goy, Baby and Mom" with knowledge about infertility, so she blamed herself, withdrew, and spiraled into depression. There were nights so dark he remembers them vividly—when she didn't conceive and continued not to get pregnant, sometimes even delirious, questioning why this happened to her.

They eventually tried both natural methods and scientific approaches. Initially, they began with basic steps: consulting a doctor who advised tracking ovulation cycles, attempting natural conception, then progressing to IUI (Intrauterine Insemination), where doctors combine sperm and eggs through a simple procedure before inserting them into the woman's reproductive system. Despite trying this method, it didn't progress. The atmosphere in their marriage became increasingly dark and depressing. The worst moment came when Khru Goy had her first miscarriage. James remembers receiving her phone call as she sobbed uncontrollably. Scientifically, this was natural selection—nature eliminating imperfect embryos, completely normal. But lacking this knowledge, she blamed herself. After the miscarriage, James privately wondered if perhaps she was already fine, and maybe the problem lay with him. The marital atmosphere filled only with despair. As a man, he tried to comfort her, suggesting they could be happy with just the two of them. This became a turning point in their lives. Khru Goy rose from her despair, researching infertility, consulting doctors, attending seminars about fertility and reproductive systems, ultimately transforming her pain into knowledge and eventually becoming an educator herself.

Thai AirAsia Cuts Flight Schedule by 30% in May-June, Reveals Which Routes Will Be Affected

Thai AirAsia is reducing its flight schedule by 30% in May and June 2025 due to skyrocketing jet fuel costs, which have tripled in recent months. The airline will temporarily suspend multiple domestic routes from Suvarnabhumi Airport and significantly cut international flights to India, while maintaining full service from Don Mueang. Management stated it will quickly restore routes if fuel prices decline and travel demand recovers.

28 Apr Khaosod

Thai AirAsia announced on April 28 a 30% reduction in flights for the second quarter (May-June 2025), citing continued pressure from elevated jet fuel costs and reduced mid-year travel demand. Domestically, the airline will temporarily suspend certain routes from Suvarnabhumi Airport while maintaining full coverage from Don Mueang. Internationally, the focus is on reducing flights to India due to high operational costs that make profitable pricing impossible.

AirAsia CEO Pairatchl Pornpattananangkur stated the airline has been managing costs to the fullest extent possible, but rising fuel prices—which have increased more than threefold—have forced fare increases that reduced passenger volumes. With mid-year traditionally being a slow travel period, the airline needed to adjust flight frequencies and temporarily suspend unprofitable routes while maintaining adequate capacity.

Domestically, Suvarnabhumi service has been reduced to only direct flights to Chiang Mai and Phuket during May and June, while Don Mueang maintains full route coverage. Internationally, India routes are being temporarily suspended, while operations continue on China, Southeast Asia, and ASEAN routes.

However, the airline is monitoring the situation closely and stands ready to quickly restore flights if fuel prices decline and travel demand increases.

Temporarily suspended domestic routes from Suvarnabhumi (May 1-June 30, 2025): - Suvarnabhumi-Buriram - Suvarnabhumi-Chiang Rai - Suvarnabhumi-Khon Kaen - Suvarnabhumi-Hat Yai - Suvarnabhumi-Krabi - Suvarnabhumi-Surat Thani - Suvarnabhumi-Nakhon Si Thammarat - Suvarnabhumi-Udon Thani (from April 28) - Suvarnabhumi-Narathiwat (from April 21)

(Don Mueang direct flights to these destinations continue normally)

Temporarily suspended international routes: - Don Mueang-Guwahati (April 29-October 24, 2025)

Royal Irrigation Department Partners with UNDP to Drive Farmers Toward Digital Agriculture Using Water Management Apps and Online Sales

The Royal Irrigation Department and UNDP have launched a digital agriculture initiative targeting 1,249 farmers in central Thailand, teaching them to use IoT sensors, water management apps, and social media platforms like TikTok for both farming efficiency and online sales. The three-phase training program running through February 2026 aims to help farmers adapt to climate change while transitioning to data-driven smart farming that increases income and reduces agricultural risks.

28 Apr Khaosod

The Royal Irrigation Department is advancing Thai farmers into the digital age by partnering with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) under support from the Green Climate Fund (GCF). The initiative offers training workshops on climate technology and data to help farmers cope with weather volatility and improve water management and agricultural production efficiency.

This program is part of a broader initiative titled "Building Climate Change Adaptation Capacity in Thailand's River Basins through Efficient Water Management and Sustainable Agriculture." The training covers 22 subdistricts in Phitsanulok, Sukhothai, and Uthai Thani provinces, enabling farmers to use digital tools for planting decisions. A total of 1,249 farmers participated—280 men and 969 women.

The training is divided into three phases. The first phase, running from September 8 to October 15, 2025, focuses on Internet of Things (IoT) technology, allowing farmers to connect data from measurement devices like water level sensors to online systems in real time. For example, farmers can link water meters to the WaterUnity app to monitor water levels in their areas, enabling precise water planning and reducing forecasting errors.

The second phase, from October 16, 2025 to January 16, 2026, provides hands-on training with the WaterUnity app—a smart water management platform developed by the Royal Irrigation Department in partnership with King Mongkut's University of Technology Thonburi. This application collects water and agricultural data, helping farmers select optimal planting periods and efficiently calculate required water volumes.

The final phase, from January 26 to February 27, 2026, focuses on expanding market channels for farmers through social media platforms like TikTok, which has 1.9 billion global users and 44 million Thai users. Farmers will learn account setup, opening online stores, product photography, creating short promotional videos, and using Zoom for customer and business communications.

The Royal Irrigation Department emphasizes that equipping farmers with digital technology and climate data skills will enhance their capacity to adapt to intensifying climate change. This transition from traditional farming to "smart farming" driven by real data will increase incomes, reduce risks, and provide long-term security for Thai farmers.

Kuniya Pleads with Casemiro to Stay: Manchester United Midfielder Set to Leave After Season Ends

Casemiro will leave Manchester United after this season when his contract expires, despite teammate Kuniya's public plea for him to stay following his Man of the Match performance against Brentford.

Commerce Ministry Urges Thai Exporters to Prepare Carbon Emissions Calculations for EU's CBAM Tariff

Thailand's Commerce Ministry is urging exporters to calculate and prepare carbon emissions data ahead of the EU's new CBAM tariff, which began January 1, 2026 and covers steel, aluminum, cement, fertilizer, hydrogen, and electricity with es

28 Apr Khaosod

On April 28, 2026, Arada Fueangtong, Director-General of the Department of Foreign Trade, announced that the European Union has fully implemented the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) under EU Regulation 2023/956 starting January 1, 2026. The measure covers six product categories: steel and steel products, aluminum, cement, fertilizer, hydrogen, and electricity, requiring importers with shipments exceeding 50 tons annually to purchase CBAM Certificates to offset embedded greenhouse gas emissions.

Emissions can be calculated two ways: using actual production data verified by EU-accredited bodies, or applying EU-set default reference values. On December 16, 2025, the EU released additional regulations (EU 2025/2621) establishing country and product-specific standard values based on the average emissions of the top 10% highest-emitting factories.

Exporters unable to calculate actual emissions must use default values, with escalating mark-ups: Thai steel, aluminum, and hydrogen face 10% increases in 2026, 20% in 2027, and 30% in 2028. Thai fertilizer exporters face 1% annual increases. These progressions incentivize producers to disclose real emissions data, as failure to do so increases export costs significantly, particularly for manufacturers using outdated production technology.

Arada emphasized that Thai businesses should urgently compile complete greenhouse gas emissions data and documentation throughout their supply chains to reduce long-term costs. She also recommended closely monitoring regulatory updates and improving production processes to reduce emissions and maintain competitive advantage in EU markets. Further details are available at 02 547 4735 or hotline 1385.

Rosemary Presses Charges Against Close Friend for Allegedly Abusing Her 13-Year-Old Son in Khao Yai, Vows to Pursue Case to the End

Former Thai-Filipino singer Rosemary Kahanding filed a police report against a studio photographer who allegedly sexually abused her 13-year-old son in Khao Yai during Songkran. The photographer initially offered to settle with payments ranging from 20,000 to 100,000 baht, but Rosemary refused, vowing to pursue the case and seek compensation for her son's psychological trauma.

28 Apr Khaosod

At 10:00 AM on April 28, 2569, at Kok Khram Police Station, Rosemary Kahanding, a former Thai-Filipino singer, brought her 13-year-old son to file a police report against an acquaintance and studio photographer who allegedly committed indecent assault against the boy in Khao Yai during the recent Songkran festival.

Rosemary revealed that on April 20, the photographer sent her a Line message asking to take her son on a trip to a five-star hotel in Khao Yai and engage in various activities to expand his worldview. Although her son was reluctant, she thought it was a good opportunity and allowed him to go.

Rosemary stated that on the afternoon of April 23, when her son returned home, he displayed unusual behavior. By 8:00 PM that evening, he told her that he would never go anywhere with this person again because the man had sexually abused him by grabbing his genitals. Shocked, she called the photographer, who admitted to the act but claimed it was just horseplay. He offered to settle the matter by paying 20,000 baht, but she refused.

The photographer later increased his offer to 100,000 baht with installment payments, asking her to have mercy and not ruin his future. He warned that if charges were filed, they could not be withdrawn, and that prosecution would result in job loss and possible imprisonment, leaving him unable to pay compensation or psychological treatment for the boy. He apologized, but Rosemary stated that an apology and compensation cannot heal her son's psychological damage.

Rosemary emphasized that this incident will leave a permanent scar on her son's mind. She also noted that days before, the photographer posted on Facebook, checking in at Suvarnabhumi Airport with a message about going to work abroad, which raised her concerns about him fleeing. Therefore, she decided to file the report and requested that investigators coordinate with Moo Si Police Station.

Rosemary confirmed her determination to pursue the case to the fullest extent and demands compensation for psychological treatment for her 13-year-old son.
