Terrified Thinking It Was a Burglar, But the Refrigerator Door Opens On Its Own—Ran Away Instead. Claims This Has Been Happening for 2 Years and Still Can't Get Used to It

A Thai TikToker's household has experienced unexplained phenomena for two years, with doors opening on their own—including a refrigerator that swung open so forcefully the homeowner's husband screamed and ran away. The family claims childre

This supernatural display is wasting electricity! A TikToker got terrified thinking a burglar had broken in, jumped up to record video as evidence, but ended up running away instead when the refrigerator door and wardrobe suddenly opened by themselves. Claims this has been happening for the full 2 years, and even the kids in the house call these entities to come play—everyone in the household is spooked.

On May 19, TikTok user @kratayorawe posted a terrifying video challenging brave souls to hunt for ghosts after experiencing unexplainable phenomena in the home. Both the refrigerator door and wardrobe doors open on their own, leaving the entire household frightened.

In the video, the poster's husband is the one filming. He went to investigate after hearing strange noises at night, initially thinking a burglar had broken in. Without turning on the lights, he grabbed his phone to record what he hoped would be evidence of a burglary. The video shows a dog howling intermittently, and as he approaches the refrigerator after hearing sounds, the door suddenly swings open forcefully. The husband screams and immediately runs away. Later, in the mother's bedroom, the wardrobe door slowly opens on its own.

Many netizens speculate the video might be staged and doubt it's a genuine paranormal occurrence. Some believe the refrigerator's door seal has deteriorated, causing it to open on its own. However, other netizens counter that if the seal were truly worn, the door wouldn't open that forcefully—it would likely just crack open slightly and stay that way. Yet according to the poster, the refrigerator door closes by itself afterward.

The poster further explains that the refrigerator was purchased only 2 years ago, so the door seal shouldn't be deteriorated. She also addresses skeptics who suggest string might be rigging the door open, challenging them to show her the string if they see any.

When asked by a netizen if the story is real, she responded: "It's real. Everyone in the house went to a funeral, leaving only my boyfriend home alone for 3-4 nights. Last night was the night after his head-shaving ceremony, so he had to sleep alone."

She added: "Everyone in the house has experienced it, but not like this. Usually, we just see someone open a door with multiple eyes staring out, then the door closes. We've seen it that way for 2 full years until we got used to it. But last night it happened like in the video. There are 2-3 kids in the house, and they cheerfully called it to come play. The adults just looked at each other in shock. They called out to whoever—or whatever—it was."

Trump 'Delays Iran Attack' at Gulf Nations' Request - Says Good Chance of Reaching Deal

Trump postponed a planned military strike on Iran after requests from Gulf leaders, saying serious negotiations offer a good chance of reaching a nuclear deal without military action.

3h ago Khaosod

US President Donald Trump has said he is holding off a military attack on Iran planned for Tuesday at the request of Gulf states as 'serious negotiations are now taking place.' In a post on Truth Social, he said he had been asked to do so by the leaders of Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, and that he has been informed there will be a highly favorable agreement for the United States, with 'no nuclear weapons for Iran.' However, the US leader warned he is ready to launch a full-scale and more intense attack on Iran immediately if an acceptable agreement is not reached.

Trump told reporters there are many positive developments but it remains to be seen what results they will yield. 'We've had times when we thought we were close to a deal but it didn't work out. This time is a bit different,' Trump said, noting it appears there is a good chance of reaching an agreement with Iran. 'If we can do it without dropping bombs on them, I'd be very happy.'

On May 17, Trump warned Iran that time is running out and the country should act quickly or there will be nothing left. Iran previously stated it had accepted the latest US proposal and negotiations continue through Pakistan, which is serving as a mediator.

Reports also indicate that on the evening of May 18, Iran's Tasnim News Agency released what it claimed was a statement from Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei, warning that new fronts would open in areas where enemies have little experience and would be very vulnerable. Meanwhile, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Ismail Baghaei confirmed that Iran is acting responsibly and with generosity. Iran's demands include an immediate ceasefire on all fronts, including Israel's continued attacks on Hezbollah in Lebanon, an end to the US naval blockade of Iranian ports, and guarantees against future attacks on Iran.

These developments coincide with the release of Trump's declining approval ratings, with a New York Times/Siena poll published Monday, May 18, finding that 64 percent of voters believe war with Iran would be wrong.

State Railway Pushes 'Missing Link' Project to Reduce Railway Crossing Hazards in Inner Bangkok

Thailand's State Railway is accelerating the 'Missing Link' project to connect Bangkok's two main stations and reduce deadly railway crossing accidents, with construction expected to begin in 2029 and service opening by 2034.

3h ago Khaosod

Acting State Railway of Thailand (SRT) Governor Anant Phothninmadaeng revealed progress on measures to reduce railway-vehicle collisions, announcing plans to accelerate the 'Missing Link' project—a railway connection initiative linking Bangkok Railway Station (Hualamphong) with Bangkok Central Station (Abhaibhubejhr) to provide a long-term solution to inner-city railway crossing problems.

Currently, the SRT is updating previous feasibility studies and plans to submit budget proposals for 2027-2028 before seeking Cabinet approval in 2028. Construction bidding is targeted for 2029, with completion and service opening expected by 2034. The project will reduce traffic congestion and accidents at railway crossings through elevated and underground construction, particularly on the Talad Nung-Siriraj route, which currently has eight level crossings. Plans include building overpasses for vehicles and elevated pedestrian walkways.

The Transport Ministry is collaborating with Bangkok Metropolitan Administration to survey 27 additional high-risk crossing points to develop targeted solutions, including temporary traffic control measures during peak hours and adjustments to freight and passenger train schedules for safety.

Regarding concerns about reducing or ending southern and eastern line services into Hualamphong Station, Anant acknowledged public anxiety, noting current infrastructure remains incomplete and some commuter lines cannot yet transition to the Red Line electric system. Officials have been instructed to develop a three-month transition plan minimizing public impact.

For the accident investigation, bus drivers underwent additional questioning, and the SRT implemented strict drug and alcohol screening for all railway personnel nationwide, including drivers, mechanics, and operations staff. Initial test results showed no positive cases. Anyone testing positive faces immediate suspension and strict disciplinary action.

The SRT also requested approval to hire 2,850 additional personnel to address ongoing maintenance engineer shortages from retirements, as current staff face excessive overtime. For accident victims, the SRT confirmed full support: deceased receive 340,000 baht (80,000 for funeral expenses and 260,000 for beneficiaries), while injured passengers are covered by insurance with additional assistance based on injury severity.

Mother of Khanun Weeps Upon Receiving Her Son's Body in Train-Bus Collision Tragedy, Ending Dreams of Becoming a Programmer

A 22-year-old information technology student was killed in a train-bus collision that claimed eight lives on May 19, leaving his mother grieving at a Bangkok morgue and calling for improved safety measures.

3h ago Khaosod

At 3 p.m. on May 19, 2025, at the Institute of Forensic Medicine at Police Hospital, grieving relatives collected the bodies of victims from the train-bus collision that claimed eight lives, with four initially confirmed. Among those killed were Thanatphipat "Khanun" (age 22), Theekha "Thaen" (age 34), Uang Manojaem (age 66), and Vipharaksa "Rose" Phaepuri. Natsukorn "Mom" Chantrayamul, 49, mother of Khanun, clutched her son's photograph to her chest as she tearfully described him as a good boy with many friends who excelled in sports. She revealed that Khanun was a third-year student in Information Technology and Communication at Silpakorn University's Nakhon Pathom campus, dreaming of becoming a programmer. She expressed that he had survived six to seven surgeries in his life, only to perish in what she believes was a preventable accident caused by negligence from both the train and bus drivers. She called on the State Railway of Thailand and the Bangkok Mass Transit Authority to improve personnel screening and safety measures to prevent such tragedies. As his mother made a final goodbye, holding his photograph and burning incense while calling for her son to return home, she wept inconsolably, requiring support as she tapped on the coffin begging him to come back. On this day, three victims were released to their respective temples for religious ceremonies.
