A Japanese man has become the talk of social media after sharing an adorable yet nerve-wracking incident when he discovered a hamster lost in the middle of a street in the Shimanosoji neighborhood of Osaka. The incident occurred around 9 p.m., as he posted on X platform, where he spotted a tiny hamster moving across the road and nearly struck by a passing vehicle. He described the moment in his post: "Did I just find a wild hamster? And it was about to get hit by a car, so I rescued it." He immediately sprang into action to get the hamster away from danger. The man then planned to hand over the hamster to Minami Police Station so officers could help locate its actual owner. He also recorded a video during the rescue, showing the hamster scurrying around the street and struggling to climb over a drainage cover. Later, he posted additional photos of the hamster after rescue, showing it sitting in a small cardboard box lined with blue cloth, earning affection from viewers. The man noted that if no owner comes forward within one week, the hamster may be transferred to a local animal shelter. He asked followers to share the information to help find the owner. He has also updated in the comments that he has coordinated with officials and is asking anyone who is the owner to contact him.
