Police arrested a 26-year-old woman accused of impersonating a well-known influencer, creating fake Facebook pages, and defrauding victims by selling counterfeit mystery boxes. On July 9, 2569, officers led by Deputy Police General Patthanasak Bubbhasawan ordered the arrest of Ms. Kantisah (surname withheld), who was wanted under arrest warrant No. 249/2567 from Nakhon Pathom Provincial Court, dated April 1, 2567. She faces charges of conspiracy to commit fraud and entering false data into computer systems likely to cause public harm. Additional warrants for the same charges were issued by courts in Chiang Mai, Lopburi, and Maha Sarakham provinces. Officers apprehended her near a factory in Khlong Sam Wa district, Bangkok.
Investigation revealed that since November 2565, the suspect created a fake Facebook account under the name "Dew Theeraphut," impersonating a famous influencer to sell mystery boxes. Victims were deceived into transferring money seven times, totaling 66,567 baht, before being blocked and unable to contact the suspect. After victims filed a report with Nakhon Pathom City Police, investigators obtained court warrants. Upon learning the suspect was working at a factory in Bangkok, officers conducted the arrest.
During interrogation, the suspect denied all charges. She has been handed over to investigators at Nakhon Pathom City Police for further legal proceedings.
