Passenger Complains After Van Driver Abandons 8 People on Roadside, Claims Vehicle Breakdown Before Driving Off
A Future-Nakhon Nayok van driver abandoned eight passengers on a roadside near Thanyaburi on June 29, claiming mechanical failure before driving away normally, prompting a complaint from one of the stranded travelers.
A passenger has filed a complaint against a Future-Nakhon Nayok van service after the driver abandoned eight passengers on the roadside, claiming mechanical failure before driving away. On June 29, 2025, the news team received a complaint from Usat, 56, who was returning from visiting her granddaughter in Nual Chan and boarded the van at 4 p.m. at the Future van terminal. Eight passengers had purchased tickets together, and the journey proceeded normally until the driver suddenly announced the vehicle had broken down, made jerking motions, and claimed the engine wouldn't turn over. He ordered all passengers to exit near Thanyaburi, and they expected a replacement van to arrive. However, after everyone disembarked, the van drove away without issue. Usat, who recorded the entire incident, expressed her frustration: "Why did you do this? Your van wasn't actually broken. Once you dropped us off, you drove away just fine. It's not about the fare—it's about the mistreatment and pity for the other passengers." She noted that fortunately, another kind driver helped them by charging a reduced fare to reach their final destination in Nakhon Nayok province.
