On May 11, 2026, at the Crime Suppression Division, Akkhaphorn Luangprasoet, founder of the "Silk Thread Must Survive" Facebook page, brought an 18-year-old male victim to file a criminal complaint against a renowned fortune teller and spiritual healer in Lamphun Province for sexual assault.
Akkhaphorn explained that this victim was sexually assaulted by the well-known northern Thailand healer starting at age 17 and is now 18 years old. The victim had initially visited the healer because his mother wanted a fortune reading and spiritual consultation. Due to the victim's attractive appearance, the healer separated him from his parents, sending them to eat elsewhere while privately entertaining the victim—apparently having already selected him as a target.
When the victim immediately told his family what happened, they researched the healer and discovered he has numerous celebrity, famous personality, government official, and prominent clients. The family feared that coming forward would not be believed due to the healer's strong public reputation at that time. However, with his credibility now eroded, they found the courage to proceed, determined to prevent additional victims.
The 18-year-old victim urged others who suffered similar abuse to come forward and help put the perpetrator in prison. He emphasized that no one deserves this experience and expressed his emotional devastation, questioning why he had to endure such trauma. After the first victim came forward, he pushed ahead with the case, feeling that getting this dangerous person imprisoned would be meaningful. He vowed to fight this battle to the end.
