Released from Prison Just 3 Days Before: 45-Year-Old Man Arrested for Stealing Employer's Motorcycle to Sell on the Street
A man arrested for stealing his employer's motorcycle on Chiang Rai's outskirts had been released from prison just three days earlier on a similar theft conviction.
At 4:45 PM on April 29, 2026, Lieutenant Colonel Vichai Chaiyinkhram, commander of the Pan Police Station in Chiang Rai, along with Lieutenant Surpat Thammapanya, authorized officers to arrest Nualdeee (surname withheld), age 54, from Mae Yao Subdistrict, Muang District, Chiang Rai. A gray Honda Wave motorcycle with Chiang Rai license plates was seized as evidence.
The arrest came after a radio dispatch received a report of a stolen motorcycle in Village 8, Rong Phiao, Huai Sai Subdistrict, Muang District, Chiang Rai. The suspect fled on the gray Honda Wave heading toward the Chiang Rai-Phayao route. Officers from Muang Chiang Rai Police Station coordinated with Pan Police Station to intercept the suspect.
A good citizen subsequently reported spotting a suspicious man attempting to sell the motorcycle near a second-hand shoe shop along Phahon Yothin Road at Pa Daet Three-Way Junction, Doi Chaimongkol Village, Muang Subdistrict, Pan District, Chiang Rai. Officers investigated and found the suspect with the motorcycle, which matched the theft report. The man was taken into custody.
During interrogation, Nualdeee confessed to stealing the motorcycle from his employer's house in Huai Sai Subdistrict, Muang District, Chiang Rai. A background check revealed he had been released from prison on a theft charge just three days before committing this new offense. He was detained and handed over to investigators at Pan Police Station for further legal proceedings.
