King Mongkut's Institute of Technology Ladkrabang and Krungthai Bank partnered to develop talent through real-world learning and digital transformation, bridging academic knowledge with practical business experience.
King Mongkut's Institute of Technology Ladkrabang (KMITL) and Krungthai Bank have signed an academic cooperation agreement (MOU) for the 'Krungthai x KMITL Talent and Social Innovation Development' project. The partnership elevates their collaboration to a strategic alliance aimed at integrating academic knowledge with real-world experience to develop high-potential talent and create innovations that address modern business and societal challenges. KMITL President Assoc. Prof. Dr. Komsarn Malisey explained that the institute is advancing Thai education through an education ecosystem that connects the academic sector, business sector, and society. He emphasized that this MOU with Krungthai Bank represents a significant movement in education to establish a strategic partnership focused on developing quality human resources prepared for the digital world and modern economic changes. This cooperation marks a crucial strategic step in advancing modern education and reinforces KMITL's vision of 'The World Master of Innovation,' which emphasizes students learning through hands-on, experiential learning to develop skills based on real business challenges. The initiative also focuses on building future skills aligned with both domestic and international labor market demands through a comprehensive learning ecosystem connecting knowledge, technology, and experience from various sectors. KMITL has developed learning models that allow students to accumulate real-world experience through projects such as project-based internships and part-time employment during their studies, bridging the gap between academia and the workplace. This approach aims to produce innovative graduates equipped with knowledge, skills, and practical experience who can sustainably contribute to the country's economic and social development. Ms. Nareerat Ariyaprayoon, Krungthai Bank's strategic business and retail products executive, noted that the collaboration demonstrates the bank's role extending beyond financial services to prioritize human development and quality talent creation, which is essential for national progress. She highlighted the bank's previous successes with KMITL, including Digital Campus development, health financing systems, and community projects, which form the foundation for this elevated partnership. The 'Krungthai x KMITL Talent and Social Innovation Development' project aims to develop talent through learning, practical application, and accumulation of experience from real business challenges, grounded in science and technology education and research emphasizing academic excellence and innovation creation. Guided by 'The World Master of Innovation' principles and promoting Thai innovation for practical application, the project operates through four core strategies: creating experience through real-world projects, opening professional perspectives, developing human capital potential, and translating innovations into practical use.
