Despite bleeding heavily and unable to see, the victim managed to ride his motorcycle to safety and seek help from friends who took him to the hospital.

His left eye suffered severe damage requiring lens replacement surgery, with uncertain prospects for full vision recovery. He also sustained a punctured lung wound that required blood drainage and is still under treatment. The mother expressed two main concerns: her son's eyesight and the slow police investigation. She believes the attack was motivated by jealousy from the ex-girlfriend's new boyfriend and called on Nong Prue police to gather evidence and arrest the perpetrators quickly. She also appealed directly to the attackers to turn themselves in, questioning why they would hurt her son so severely and reminding them that her son deserved a better future.

April 25, 2025 – Labour Minister Julphand Amornvivatana traveled to Udon Thani province alongside a delegation led by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation Yasochanan Wongsawat to inspect and monitor progress on the government's workforce skills development policy.

The inspection aimed to support both domestic and international job markets. The delegation was received by Somchai Markartsreewan, director-general of the Department of Employment, and Somasap Patmasukuntan, director-general of the Department of Skills Development, along with other labour ministry officials in Udon Thani at Rajabhat University Udon Thani.

Minister Julphand reported visiting several important training programs, including nursing assistant and elderly care courses, professional Thai chef training, and electrical and air conditioning technician programs. On April 25, 2025, police arrested Abdulloh (surname withheld), age 39, on a warrant issued by Yala Provincial Court on June 4, 2024, on charges of counterfeiting currency and fraud. He was captured in front of a condominium on Soi Siriphat in Bangkok's Pranakorn District.

Between 2567-2568, the suspect developed a severe addiction to Forex trading, losing hundreds of thousands of baht. Unable to find additional funds, he borrowed extensively from relatives and acquaintances before turning to fraud. He photocopied Thai 500-baht notes in color, cut them to actual size, and created 20 counterfeit notes sealed in paper envelopes.

He then traveled to a convenience store near his residential area and targeted an elderly woman. Claiming he urgently needed to transfer 10,000 baht but only had limited cash, he persuaded her to help transfer money into his account in exchange for the envelope of counterfeit notes. The victim transferred the money but later discovered the notes were fake. When she attempted to confront him, he quickly escaped on a motorcycle. She reported the incident to Yala City Police, and officers eventually tracked him down and made the arrest.

During interrogation, the suspect confessed to all charges and was handed over to Yala City Police for legal proceedings.

The Central Investigation Bureau has issued a public warning about Forex trading risks.
