Nek Chalie Reveals Crying Tricks Behind Golden Doll Win, Once Rejected Multi-Million Baht Acting Jobs to Pursue Music
Thai actor Nek Chalie revealed his emotional acting techniques and Golden Doll award-winning performances during a TV interview, disclosing he once turned down 10-20 million baht in film roles to pursue music instead.
During an appearance on Club Friday Show produced by CHANGE2561, actor Nek Chalie reflected on his famous crying scenes and the techniques behind his award-winning emotional performances. He admitted to once rejecting major film and television offers worth 10-20 million baht because of his desire to pursue music as a career instead of acting. "I wasn't ready to work back then. Music was the one thing I hadn't succeeded in yet," he explained, adding that he even grew out his hair in an attempt to shed his actor image and reinvent himself as a musician.
Regarding his personal life, Nek Chalie confirmed he has pursued multiple relationships, acknowledging he's been flirtatious with several women. When asked if he's a ladies' man, he responded casually, "Anyone who's pretty and approaches me, I respond to everyone. About 4-5 people." He recalled one infatuation with a fruit vendor, describing it more as an obsession than genuine love.
On his history of generosity to ex-girlfriends, Nek Chalie revealed he's bought houses for former partners, saying he enjoys seeing what kind of home they prefer. "If we get along and agree on the relationship, I'm prepared to build or provide one," he stated. However, he emphasized that he regrets some past relationships, mentioning one house he's never returned to in the last two years.
When asked about being taken advantage of in relationships despite media reports suggesting he was cheated on, Nek Chalie acknowledged the pattern: "I know he's deceiving me, but I'm willing to be deceived." He attributed relationship problems often stemming from financial and interest-related issues, admitting that as someone who typically initiates relationships, he must accept the consequences when things don't work out as hoped.
Regarding his current status, Nek Chalie made it clear: "Right now, I'm not ready to take care of anyone. I'm single but not in dating mode." He emphasized that he's always managed his own career and life decisions independently, never relying on a manager or anyone else to guide him.
