Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul and Interior Minister held a press conference at Government House on May 15, 2025, announcing the "Entrepreneurs Speak, Government Listens" event, which brought together more than 34 senior executives and representatives from 10 key industry sectors to share their insights with the government.
The primary objective of the forum was to give business owners a platform to voice their opinions and offer recommendations to policymakers. The government pledged to carefully review all proposals and suggestions with the aim of removing unnecessary business restrictions and facilitating economic growth that benefits both the public and the nation.
When asked how the government would follow up on business input, the Prime Minister stated that the administration wants to understand the business sector's current situation, expectations, and specific proposals they need government support for—whether to expand operations, generate revenue, increase employment, or build economic prosperity.
The PM emphasized that he has directed all government agencies to work collaboratively in driving the economy forward, with the government playing a crucial supporting role for the private sector. He noted that implementing policies without consulting entrepreneurs first may not align with actual business needs. Therefore, the government invited business leaders—most of whom already have working relationships with government—to engage in frank discussions, as the government has a responsibility to strengthen the economic system and ensure it operates effectively, sustainably, and with long-term potential.
